- concernedThese loan counseling message calls are ridiculous. They have been calling our house leaving message that they are a debt collector. 4-6 times a day for several weeks. We have no loans with Countrywide or Bank of America. I found out that if you call back the 1-800-669-0102 # and then hit "zero#" 4 times, apparently a warm body will answer the phone. I do not want to leave my SS# or ckg acct # with anyone, especially people harrasing me.
I'm on hold on a 1-800-669-6607 # (disaster affected borrowers) right now that I saw in another person's comments above...I talked with a representative from Bank of America by calling the complaint dept @ 1-800-432-1000. Other #s to try are 1-800-933-6262 or 1-800-432-1000 (Rhode Island customer service dept.) BofA mailing address for west coast complaints is: Bank of America; Customer Relations; mail code CA-705-04-24; P.O. Box 513609, Los Angeles CA 90051. If you get a rep on the phone and give them your name & mailing address they might be able to pull up info on their end to prove to them that you don't have a mortgage with them...but it doesn't work unless you have an unusual name or they get a long list to go through and the rep doesn't want to do that. If you reach someone apparently they can send an internal email that requests that your phone # is removed from the list if they can determine you have no debt with them. GOOD LUCK! If I am not off their call list by the next few days, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.- Caller: Bank of America

- DianaI just received a call from this number. They stated they were from Bank of America and they had information about "our loan". But before they would give me information they wanted my exact address and our loan amount. I told her I wouldn't give her any information unless she told me what the call was about but she wouldn't give that information to me unless I gave her the information she wanted. I hung up on her.

- I'm NOT Mr. Maxwell -| 1 replyMine came from Bank Of America - same number. I changed my phone in April and got this number. I keep getting calls from all hours of the day and night. My husband has to go to work VERY early in the morning and when we try to sleep, these idiots are calling. I called the bank and they can't do anythign about it. "You probably need to change your number" O_O WHAT?
And just as someone else said, you can't talk to a person until you enter an account number. We don't have an account with Bank of America and we also don't have any mortgages or loans. We don't even have a credit card. I have reported them to the FTC - probably won't do any good. Maybe the bank commissioner?
Apparently it is just a credit collection flunky who only wants to get paid. They don't care if they call the right person or not.- Caller: Bank of America

- I'm not Mr. Maxwell replies to I'm NOT Mr. Maxwell -I just tried the #0 four times as someone suggested and it didn't work. These people owe me $75 for the pre-paid cell time that they have used up. I WANT MY MONEY!
Anyone know of a good collections agency I could use? :P - JanThis is also the number for Bank of America Home Loan Servicing department. If you are ever repeatedly late on your payment (during the grace period, after the grace period, or 30 days past due) they will call you to try and see why you aren't paying on the due date and potentially make arrangements to switch your due date (ie, if you get paid later in the month). I personally don't want to talk to them and have never gone to the 30 day mark, but have paid after the grace period. I just hope to get ahead on my payments and not have to deal with them, or explain myself. In any case, don't ever give your personal information out to someone over the phone when they are calling you.

- DeefYes, It's BOA, and I verified my 2 loans were current (they knew #s if I gave them address, and also my work email, so it appears legit); gave me HUD info on loan mods they are required to provide; everything else looks OK. (BTW this # says it's left over from Countrywide, orig mortgager)

- BevI googled this number after someone called my office asking for my co-worker, and would not identify her stupid company (like I wouldn't look it up!). For everyone out there who cannot read, this phone number is associated with BAC, which is the same as Bank of America. They have a Dept. called "Loan Modification Program," and after reading what people have posted, its a load of garbage.
I got the comment below from this site:

She needed your gross income, which I did not have. She said I would have to call back. When I asked for the phone number she gave me 800-669-0102. When I asked how to reach a person, she stated she had no idea and started in again about something – at which point I requested a supervisor.- Caller: BOA

- OfficeRecepThis number calls my office a number of times, it only rings once and hangsup. Have yet to talk to anyone calling from this number.
- DONNAThey call at work 4-7x/day and never leave a message. When I answer it, they literally hang up each time so have no idea who they are.
- Kiwi PowerThey call a minimum of 3 times a day. The phone drops dead once I answer. It is highly annoying.

- JoanThis number keeps calling me and asking for loan info as well.
- Morgane Marie| 1 replyI kept getting calls from an 800 number, and finally decided to answer. I never answer calls I don't recognize normally. I answered and they asked for some name I had never heard before, and I told them they had the wrong number. I blocked their number now, and I can see on my phone, right now, that they've called over 60 times since September. I'm starting to get super angry, because they've called even after 9 PM. I get up really early in the morning, so I go to bed at 8 or 8:30....
I'm unblocking this number, and the next time they call me, I'm going to tell them straight out, that if they call my number again, I'm going to the police for harassment, and failure to respect my wishes to remove my number from whatever list it is they have. This is my last warning.- Caller: Bank of America Debt Collectors

- Morgane Marie replies to Morgane MarieI just called a Bank of America representative, and she told me to contact this email address to complain about any numbers harassing me: abuse@bankofamerica.com. I wrote them this letter:
To whom it may concern,
I just spoke to a woman named Lori on the phone with Bank of America, and she said to address my complaint to this email address (abuse@bankofamerica.com). I work at a customer contact center, so I know how this works. Normally, this will take at least 2 weeks for anyone to see, and by that time, if my phone number is still called from 1-800-669-0102, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau, to voice my complaints.
Starting a couple months ago, I started receiving a phone call from 1-800-669-0102. I didn't answer it for about a month, because I don't answer phone numbers I do not recognize. Finally, after what seemed like (and what is probably close to) the 100th call, I answered, and a man (I don't recall his name) asked for some other man's name, that I had never heard of before. It wasn't a common name either, like John, or Chris, it sounded kind of like it was an Indian name.
Anyways, the man asked for this person, and I explained to him, that I did not know who that was, and that he had the wrong number. I also went on and stated that I would also like for him to take my number off of whatever list he has, because I was tired of getting these phone calls, and that I had been called many times before. He said "Okay, thank you", then hung up. The calls have NOT stopped. So, I decided to type this number into Google.com today, and guess what I found. There's more than a score of people who are just as annoyed as I am. Some people are even being harassed further, I read, by the representatives themselves. I'm lucky that this has not happened, because if it had, I wouldn't even bother with this email. I would go directly to the Better Business Bureau, and I'd report it to the police.
I truly hope I don't have to go that far, because I know you probably get these types of emails many times a day, and I know you will probably think this is just an idle threat. But I assure you, if I'm taking the time to write this, it means I've had enough, and I won't stand for it any longer. I am not asking, I am telling you; take my number off of your list. The number is (and I give this to you, the reader, in hopes that you don't think this a joke): X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I live in XXXXXX, XX, if that helps you investigate this. I also, do not even have a Bank of America anything.
I thank you for your time.
If you'd like to reach me, please contact me by email at XXXXXXXX@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXX
