- SF Bay AreaCountrywide was taken over by a larger company a few years ago (B of A, I think) so whose number is this now? I got a call from them on my cell phone this afternoon.
- DanRecieved pre-recorded message instructing me to wait for an 'important call'. Out of curiousity I waited but no one came on the line and the call dropped. sounds fishy.
- Caller: unknown
- lkhBOA Mortgage called 4 times in 48 hrs (contrary to Mass FDCPA).
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- HimThere's a very simple solution.
They always say they may be recording the conversation.
Your response should be "Me Too".
They will end the call immediately.
For some reason they feel they have the right to record you, but you have no right to record them.- Caller: Loan Counseling

- JattI have been getting calls everyday for last 3 weeks sometime more than once in a day.... answered today lady says she is from Bank of America and wanted me to verify the address. When I asked what is this regarding she did not clarify.
- tcI get calls from this number constantly. I am on the no call list and I do not have a countrywide mortgage. The government needs to do something to stop this scam/harrassment!
- MikeFor the past 2 months I'm getting 5 - 8 calls a day every day including Sunday. I don't answer calls I don't recognize. Today they called 11:30PM. I'm on "Do not call" list and I don't have any business with BoA or it's predecessor Country Wide .
These people need to be stopped somehow. It's pure harassment!- Caller: Loan Admin
- Joe Blow| 3 repliesThis number calls me, tells me to hold, then hangs up on me.
- Former BOA customer 12Constant harassment
- Caller: BoA
- Someone not interested in phone callsThey called me several times a day. Answering machine comes on. They hang up each time. Just called them back, entering 1234... as SSN, and got to talk to a real person. Fran answered. I asked her where she got my number from. She said that one of their "borrowers" gave them my phone number. I AM UNLISTED! It's Bank of America, Debt Collectors. I told her that I don't own a house, and do not have or want a loan. I told her that Bank of America, and especially this number (1-800-669-0102) is all over the internet for ripping of citizens, and that they better come up with a better way to compensate for the customers they lost. She apologized for the inconvenience and said that she'll take my number out of their database. Very annoying.

- RECORD IT!My husband and I have filed for bankruptcy. We will be protecting our home from foreclosure by doing so, and will be working with the bankruptcy court to pay our BoA loan on catch-up. I get 5-10 calls from 800-669-0102 every day. As required, I have given them my attorney's name and telephone number. Once that's done, the calls are supposed to STOP.
Every time I get one of these calls (up to 10x/day), I answer it, ask the caller for his/her name and employee ID #, and I write it down along side of the date/time of the call. I write it in a little journal book I keep by the telephone. I call this "recording." So when the caller tells me he/she is "recording" this call for quality purposes, I tell him/her that I too am "recording" this call for the purposes of filing the record with the court in my harassment suit against Bank of America.
They always tell me that they are not permitted to participate in recorded conversations. I tell them I am not either. They say they cannot continue this conversation -- and "cannot help" me -- unless I give assurances that I have stopped recording. I tell them that I am going to continue to "record" the conversation, and they say this call must end. I say fine, have a good day, and hang up. This typically takes 1-3 minutes, which I also note in my little journal.
At some point in this ordeal, I hope that someone (and maybe it will be me) will file a class action lawsuit against Bank of America for their harassing calls. So in case someone does, why don't YOU also get yourself a little journal and record the date/time/length of your BoA calls? I'm hoping to get a few thousand bucks out of them eventually, which will pay for a week's stay at a loony bin to which they're DRIVING ME through these incessant calls.
Good luck everybody.- Caller: Bank of America

- LadybugWe get calls from them too - and NO we DO NOT have a Mortgage with Countrywide at any our our homes. They don't even have close to the correct name either - and home ph # has been in husbands name for over 16 y ears - so this is really Harrassment - I have told them we are on the No Call List - and Told them NOT TO CALL - They hand up! But does not matter They STILL CONTINUE TO CALL - we no Longer ANSWER the landline - for ANYONE!!! It comes over DirecTV as TOLL FREE SERVICE - I rarely ever check the phone handset.
I do know from my previous marriage (I did have a Mortgage with Countrywide - however it has loong since been paid off and I even received a refund check from them, for the Gov't lawsuit). However back then we did get a lot of hassle calls from various departments at Countrywide, but why we are getting them now - We have NO earthly idea. Uggggggg- Caller: CountryWide
- LoolooA do not call list for telemarketers only. And that is a legit number. You people need to brush up on your FDCPA laws.

- LoolooI unfortunately work for a debt collector, you have no idea the crap we put up with from people who cant or wont pay their bills. I understand that times are hard and people are having to choose which bills to pay each month but we are trying to make a living just as you are. You could have a little decency and not curse the people who call you. No wonder most of them are rude ro you. You get what you give.

- StuartI have talked directly with Bank of America and they have no idea who these people are. BoA even tried calling the number themselves with no result. The people at BofA have forwarded this number to their abuse and fraud personnel.
Remember not to give out any information to these callers as they are probably trying to access your accounts or steal your identity. - AwkwardMeowI receive calls constantly and every time they ask for two people who have NEVER lived here. It's quite frustrating because I have told them to leave me alone. I live in a Residence Hall apartment and I know that no Residence Hall Directors with those names have ever lived here...
- StanThese guys call every day for months, no message or caller ID. I have never had anything do do with Countrywide and have no idea why they are calling
