- HB replies to Joe Blow| 2 repliesMe too! This happens about 10-12 times a day!
- ike replies to HB| 1 replyThe caller left no message, but I called the number back and they immediately say "thank you for calling Bank of America."
- R Soto replies to ikeThis is B of A's collection dept. They can call up to 7 times per day during certain business hours. I just spoke to a Supervisor in this department and he informed me that if I provide the rep all the information they need on my first call, they will not call anymore that day. He also put my account on a no call list for 2 weeks. They are a freakin pain in the a$$ and I will never, ever, do business with B of A!
- mjh| 1 replyThis call is from a debt collector that handles Bank of America and Countrywide loans. They say they are Bank of America or Countrywide, but if you call the number back the message says "debt collector".
- Jeannie BrownBank of America is my mortgage holder and I've called and talked to them and let them know when I was going to make this months payment. They still continue to call me continuously throughout the day. I think it is harrassment and wonder if we can file charges against them with the FCC for that?

- Retired_Robert940411ST RECEIVED CALL: SATURDAY, MARCH 10TH, 2012 @1:24 PM. LET CALL GO TO VOICE MAIL. NO VOICE MAIL MESSAGE FROM CALLER.
NUMBER CALLS RECEIVED FROM SATURDAY, MARCH 10TH THROUGH MONDAY, MARCH 26TH: 47
MONDAY, MARCH 26TH: CALLED 1-800-669-0102 FROM PAY TELEPHONE OUT OF CURIOSITY. PRE-RECORDED VOICE MESSAGE SAYS IT'S BANK OF AMERICA COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT, AND TO LEAVE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OR PROPERTY ADDRESS.
I LAUGHED ALL THE WAY BACK HOME BECAUSE;
(1) ME AND MY WIFE HAVE BOTH BEEN RETIRED SINCE DECEMBER 31ST, 1999.
(2) OUR HOME MORTGAGE WAS PAID OFF IN FULL IN JULY 1986 WITH CHASE BANK.
(3) WE'RE BOTH IN OUR MID-60s AND HAVE NO HOME MORTGAGE, NO CAR NOTES, NO CREDIT CARD DEBT.
THE ONLY MONTHLY RECURRING BILLS WE HAVE ARE PG&E, WATER, GARBAGE ETC..
HOME OWNERS INSURANCE, LIFE INSURANCE AND AUTO INSURANCE ARE PAID ANNUALLY.
SINCE IT IS IN FACT BOA COLLECTIONS CALLING, THEN THEY (BOA) HAVE THE BURDEN OF PROOF TO SHOW IN A UNITED STATES COURT OF LAW;
(1) PURCHASE AGREEMENT/CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF, MY WIFE AND BOA.
(2) RECORD OF CURRENT MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO BOA.
(3) ORIGINAL SALES PURCHASE PRICE.
(4) CURRENT PHYSICAL ADDRESS I.E. CITY, STATE, ZIP CODE
(5) SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROPERTY
(6) NUMBER OF MONTHS DELINQUENT
(7) EXACT DOLLAR AMOUNT TO BRING LOAN CURRENT
(8) WHEN MYSELF AND MY WIFE CAN EXPECT TO RECEIVE OUR FIRST "NOTICE OF DEFAULT"
(9) WHEN WE CAN EXPECT OUR HOME TO GO INTO FORECLOSURE (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA)
THE FACT THAT BOA COLLECTIONS HAS OUR RESIDENTIAL TELEPHONE NUMBER, ALSO TELLS ME THAT THEY HAVE OUR CURRENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS AND OTHER RELATED MORTGAGE INFORMATION ABOUT ME AND MY WIFE.
BOTTOM LINE IS THIS. ANNOYING TELEPHONE CALLS MAKING A DEMAND FOR MONEY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PAPER WORK TO BACK UP THEIR DEMAND.
I SAY TO BOA COLLECTIONS, "GO SHOVEL SCHITT IN SIBERIA."
LOVE YAWL.

- TimCallers ask to 'verify' information about a 'loan' they refuse to identify unless we 'verify' the information they are trying to extract. They claim to represent Bank of America, but Bank of America says there is no such debt. The people at 1-800-669-0102 say that they are going to continue to harass us until we give them our confidential information. This is harassment. This is attempted wire fraud.

- RickThis is NOT a legitimate call by ANY financial institution, it is an attempt to get information for the purposes of identity theft. If you give them your information you are at risk of financial fraud. Also understand that if you have an account with the institution a caller claims to be from, that is not enough to validate their claim to be a representative of that institution.

- BofA customer not by choiceOur mortgage was originally with countrywide. Never had a problem with them. When B of A took over our mortgage is due the 1st of the month. However the way our pay periods fell we couldn't pay it until the 15th (still before late fees apply), now we are down to one income. I have called B of A and "tried" explaining our situation and asked if our due date could be changed to the 15th. I was told "absolutely not," that B of A requires all mortgage payments on the first.
My issue is I do pay the mortgage EVERY month on the 15th thru auto pay, but starting the fourth of the month I receive constant calls from the collection dept at B of A. In one day I received 8 calls! A few times I get calls within minutes of each other. I have asked them to stop, I have told them to stop, I have threatened them with harassment and NOTHING seems to work. Now one of us has lost our job, we have enough stress making ends meet. I do pay the mortgage before the late fee penalty. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how or what I can do to make these harassing calls stop? I cannot monitor caller id as I had to cancel the service to cut back on expenses. PLEASE HELP, I cannot take it anymore.- Caller: Bank of America

- EducationThis 1-800-669-6607 number is the original toll free number Countrywide Home Loans had for it's customer service years ago. When BofA bought Countrywide, BofA retained this number for "one" of it's home loans servicing departments. It appears that not only does this number not go to BofA's Customer Service, but BofA has setup a faux phone network to hide and dissuade us home owners that were original Countrywide customers. If you call that number, you will probably be diverted to a BofA "Debt Collector" that handles the modified loans, and who have their own agenda. I don't know who these people are, but their ultimate goal is to get you into a process of modifying your loan (more charges, fees, wait times, trial periods, and other legalized scamming techniques) that will, over time, downgrade your credit worthiness, set you that much farther back in your mortgage payoff, and it makes them (whoever they are) more profit. Also, note, hardly ever, never, ever will anyone call you from that number. They have too many form letters and automatic emails to bother to call you. It's not difficult for a 9th grade computer novice to purchase software that can emulate BofA's phone number, call you will scant information, then get you to reveal highly valuable data. Tell them to send you the information in the mail, if they ask for your address---hang up! Also, if your name is on the deed to your home, or you think your name is on the deed to your home, find out who receives your property or real estate tax payments (that's in cases where your mortgager is paying it for you) and verify you still own your home. These scams have been successful in creditably changing the home's owner to someone else, while you are still responsible for the mortgage----and you would never even know it.
