- JOHN replies to daverI just got a call from this number and they did not leave a message and could hear background sounds of many people in the background like a call center. My mortgage is with Chase and have been late with my payment slightly but am now current. How do other people know you are 15 days late on your mortgage payment?
- bettyI dont know who this is. They call several times a day and never leave a message. I wish they would stop calling.
- SusanI have told this caller claiming to be Chase that this is my new number.
The person they are looking for is no longer at this number.
I have asked to be removed from their calling list.
They say they will.
They have not and I still continue to receive calls.- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Debt collector
- OneSolutionYes its Chase. We all owe them money. . . !!!!
- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Debt collector
- GuestI think a class action suit is a great idea! I have been getting calls from this number ever since I purchased my pre-paid cell phone. I get calls three times a day and have told them to stop calling but they don't.
Surely there must be a way to find out who these people are.- Caller: 1-800-848-9380
- TerannThey continue to call our business number several times a week.
They have been told that this is a place of business and the person they seek is not at this phone number. They just keep calling....- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Debt collector
- SydniThis number calls me atleast 3-4 times a day. When i answer the phone, there is a recording that says "please hold for an important message. a customer representative will be with you shortly." then they hang up. I don't even answer the phone anymore when that number calls. It must not be that important because they never leave my a voicemail.
- SandyI get at least 2 calls from this number each day. I am keeping a log because am about to file harassment charges. I do have a mortgage with Chase but I get my monthly statement and my house note is automatically paid. The lady who barely spoke English told me that my house note went up $120.00 and it is past due from my May statement. I told her to send me something in writing and she said she could take payment over the phone and I told her to send me something in writing and I would look into it. I immediately checked my statement from May and the amount of my payment was the same as it has been for a year. I have a fixed interest rate therefore the interest hasn't changed. I have yet to receive anything by mail from Chase stating that my mortgage payment has increased or that anything is past due. I feel like these people are scammers and will not get anything from me. Next call I get I am going to tell them that I am filing charges if they call one more time and then proceed with charges if they do. This is very annoying. I have never been late with a payment and always pay what is due.
- Caller: Chase ??
- Call type: Debt collector
- CWinRestonVAJust called here at the office twice and hung up as soon as someone answered. Are they scared?? LOL
- Caller: ??? They hung up
- brandy replies to Nathani would love to join your chase class action lawsuit. they call every day!
- LF replies to anonymousI got a message on a Saturday from an oriental young girl, barely made out the message because she spoke softly and quickly - very unprofessional - stating a problem with my payment and spouted off the 800-848-9380 number. I know there wasn't a problem but, I called the number anyway. Red flag went up: I didn't like how it wanted your full SSN. Hung up.
So, I got my statement for my real Chase home loan, called the real number on the statement. Spoke with the real Chase representative. She applauded me for researching this and calling them. Said it is NOT a legit number for Chase and I asked her to report it internally. Said she would... but who knows since this apparently has gone on for years. As I suspected, she also confirmed there are no problems with my payments.
***So, anyone getting a message from 800-848-9380, beware... is it a confimed scam.***
The real Chase representative said "Don't call back, don't give your personally identifiable information."
Hope this helps. - 8 year perfect payment Chase ClientI am receiving calls from 800-848-9380, on weekends no less. First, Mr. Nelson, with HEAVY Hispanic accent calls to confirm my telephone number for Chase records...WTF? You OBVIOUSLY have my number since you called me, right? Then calls on Sunday, same guy/number and would not tell me the reason for his call when I called him out about his prior day's call. I am CURRENT, and have NEVER incurred a late charge with Chase, so why would, what I understand to be their collection department, call me? The man got flustered when I got Jersey girl on him and asked why he keeps calling and when I told him to stop calling my home, especially on the weekend. I then hung up on him and filed a FCC complaint online (given all I have been reading about this number.)
- Caller: Chase?
- pat replies to anonymousIf you have AT&T wireless you can block their number. Go to Smart Limits add that number as well as any other numbers that keep calling.
- hwatt replies to Chase CustomerIt's Chase Finance, just got off the phone with them at the number on this post.
- stlmamaGot to my office this morning and saw I had missed calls (we have caller ID on our phones). This # came up 3x in 3 hours. Googled it and found this site. I schedule my payments online for the 16th (the last possible due date). Yesterday was the 15th. If they call again today I'm going to report them to Chase. I don't recall ever giving Chase my work # because I don't want calls at the office. Guess I'll go online to check my account to be sure, though.
- Caller: Chase (?)
- Curious Customer| 1 replyWe have been getting phone calls from this number fairly frequently ever since Chase Mortgage was informed of my father-in-law passing and changed the number on the account to our phone number. The woman he left his home to is 6 months behind on payments (when he passed back in October she said they had already put the home in her name when they bought it so it would be taken care of when he died (he had cancer). When I answer these calls I either get a recording that says "please hold for an important message", which I have been hanging up on because I didn't know it is supposedly chase, or I say "hello" a couple of times and get hung up on - usually I can hear background noise before getting disconnected.
I too have called the number back & get an automated answer of Chase Mortgage, spanish instruction, then enter my social or acct number. If this number really is Chase Mortgage, then why on earth would they hang up on me when I answer? If they're wanting money for a past due mortgage, then why wouldn't they say something & talk to the person who answers? I don't think this really is Chase Mortgage.- Caller: Supposedly Chase Mortgage
- Curious Customer replies to Curious CustomerI meant to say I am instructed to enter my social or acct number when I call, not imply that I do. I do not give out even our address to someone calling the house like that.
- CarrieI am getting this harrassing calls constantly. 18 calls in the last two weeks AND they call on Sundays. I have a mortgage with Chase, but I have never been late on a payment. I also believe if it was vitally important, they would LEAVE A MESSAGE OR send a letter in the mail. I agree that this must be a scam. I probably should answer, but I really don't want to talk to anyone. I just tried the Do Not Call registry and may try getting the number blocked.
