If these scammers can call me using my OWN HOME PH nr ON my caller ID,don't u think they can use on the caller ID one of Chase ' s legitimate nrs but it NOT be Chase? I would NEVER give any caller any information, but call  your cr card company on the nr on your card!!! Simple and safe always. These scammers can robo over anyone's nrs now days. Just DON'T ever give your info to ANY caller. Call them back on nr on your card like these other people are doing. I know this was written in 2007 but I'm trying to warn others.

Just got off the phone with Chase. Called the number on my credit card statement and they confirmed that 800-955-9060 is indeed the number for the Fraud Dept at Chase. It seems there has been an increase in fraud activity recently. I had called the 9060 number but after I did I wanted to be sure it really was Chase that called me so I called the customer service number from my statement. They will be sending me a new card in 3 to 5 business days.

800-266-7073  caller id says, "800 Service"  they would call constantly and when I answer they would hang up. I picked up another time and did not answer and some woman answered so i knew it wasn't a recording.  I asked what they wanted and the [***] hung up. They constantly just hang up if I would say hello?  I called the number and found out it's American Express, I called them and they apologized, and would get my number off their list.  It's still 3 days later and I'm getting calls.  
american express is the most garbage company, don't sign up for their cards.

keep getting calls from 423 248 2450, caller id says Newport TN, they call and never leave messages.  I picked up once and didn't say anything and they hung up.  I know it's some waste of time call, whenever its a number with a state and/or city those are automated or possibly scam calls.  

It is legit. I called back with the number on my card and they verified fraudulent activity on my card. The card was cancelled and they are sending a new one out.

It's a scam. I don't even have a Chase Visa. I checked my credit report and it doesn't show any kind of activity for a Chase card either.

I received a call from someone with an East Indian accent advising they were reaching out to people who may have had complications to surgeries.  Then I was asked if I had any "internal surgeries" that I experienced complications from.  I informed the caller that I am on the DO NOT CALL list and by law they are to remove me from their list and never call me again.  This call came on the same day that I receive legitimate information from my financial institution that my debit card number had been used fraudulently.

I got a call from a number 865-687-1748, the lady on the other end said her name was christie green. I took a msg, and she told me to have my husband call her back on this number, 877244701, but when I called it, it says,"youre number could not be completed as dialed". What the heck is going on here?

Be careful not to chastise too quickly.  Some may be legitimate and some are certainly not legitimate therefore the Fraud Department at Chase Bank.  As you are not privy to each individual's experience it would be prudent to withhold criticisms.  Always contact your local branch or use the number on the back of your card.

Received calls from this number then a letter from Chase telling that there was fraudulent charges for computer equipment being charged on my Chase card.  Called the number on the back of my Chase card and they verified my account was froze due to fraudulent charges.  Call the number on the back of your credit card and speak to customer service if you question something... but don't just ignore it.  It could save your credit and $$$$ ... 8009559060 is the number for their fraud department and they verified it.

I just talked to Chase freedom customer representative, and was told that the action was made by them. So it's not a scam, it's a Chase number

I did have fraudulent charges on my chase card - this was a call back to me on my home phone from Chase Fraud.  I did not trust it so called the number on the back of my card, but they verified that it was their fraud division.  Call the number on the back of your card to be sure

The phone 800-955-9060 is confirmed to be Chase.  I called the number on the back of my card and they confirmed it's legit.

This is a scam.  Received a letter in the mail saying there was suspicious activity on our credit card and that they had been trying to reach us by phone

I received a call from this number and it immediately made me suspicious. They said there had been activity on my card that they wanted to verify and to call them back.  I had just been issued the card and it had never been used. I decided to call the number on the back of my Chase card, and was ultimately transferred to their security department. The security department confirmed that the call was, indeed, made by Chase.  A couple days prior I had authorized a large purchase that I would be making and Chase just wanted to verify that I had been the caller.  So, suspicous, but legit.

This number is legit. This IS Chase's Fraud dept. It is good to be careful, but the people who are saying that this is scam are incorrect and their card is compromised.

972.512.5500 left message saying to call 1.800.955.9060 back. I called number on back of credit card instead and card had in fact been compromised. Unsure whether but think unlikely that above numbers are scams.

I received a call 972-512-5500 stating that there is fraud activity on my cc and to call them back at 800-955-9060, I was suspicious so I googled the number and came upon this thread which made me more suspicious. I called the chase number on the back of my card and was told that my card has indeed been a victim of fraud and they are cancelling the card. As many people advise -- when in doubt, call the number on the back of the card.
