there was an offer on facebook to win free asda vouchers i pads ect. this website is nothin to with asda and i didnt realise i would be charged as the site didnt show the terms and conditions in until they have your phone number. ive replied stop but have still been charged around a tenner.

PhonepayPlus should have a record of all such numbers that have permission to charge for receiving communications in this way.        They are part of OFCOM.        They have no knowledge of 82288

I think you should contact PhonepayPlus and ask for their assistance.  The helpline is on 0800 500 212 (Mon-Fri, 0900-1700).

I did had the same problem. I contact EE and they put a Stop on the payment.

As they do not describe the conditions and terms I thougt it was free.. with my surprise that as soon I Said  YES to the offer is when they say I will be charge £ 4.50 monthly . They give you the option to cancel  by SEND STOP TO 82288  but everytime  is NOT DELIVERED.   I don't want to give them an adjective. but you choose several

these people keep ringing and £10 keeps going out off my credit also get another number 88227 panther play  so it could be that one I dare not open my phone in case I press the wrong key as I am 71 and the eyes go a bit fuzzy sometimes, i think I will have to get a new phone and number. getting sick of paying out for nothing.

Anthony Hill it is £4.50 weekly not monthly.

The same happened to me so try ringing 03332027722 and speak to them they will stop it for you, or ring your phone company they can put a block on all premium rate text messages for you. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I had a unsolicited text from saying ican win ipad asked to put my mobile number in then got another
Text saying i have joined IPAD winnow xinwin.co for £4.50 per week until i send stop to 82288 i did that but i got charged I must report this to my mobile network provider as this is elegal i am sure

Entered a "free " competition for an ipad. Got a text from 82288 informing me I had joined a monthly competition costing £4, 50. Was told to text STOP if I didnt want to join. I did this.
When I checked my account balance the £4, 50 hsd been taken from my 3 networkaccount.

Kept getting messages to win a iPad answered about three questions then it says you will now get a text message to confirm and reply to 82288 with the words pad which cost over £5 and then to send a  text saying stop to 82288  to stop paying £4.50 a month for been a member of iPad the number 03332027722 was also mentioned in the text for help.

I received a txt msg from this number, it was to win a free iPad, after replying to the msg it charged me all the credit on my phone. A few days ago I received another txt msg with the same content, it then charged me £4. How can I stop this rip off company from doing this again.

Just got my Vodafone bill and have been charged £9.12 for 3 texts to/from 82288!! Unbelievable.
