Thought the competition was from O2 tewards so l went ahead because it all seemed legit. Again, no mention of any payment involved in the application stage of the competition. Sharp practice! Why have these guys not been closed down?
Found out today that £4.50 has been added to my bill.
PhonePayPlus are closed at the moment for training!!!

Have reported them to PhonePayPlus who will investigate the matter and get back to me within 6 weeks.
Have contacted O2 who say they will put a block on this number to prevent it affecting my account again.
Can't understand why such companies don't get immediately blacklisted.

I was charged almost £20 by pantherplay I've never heard of them. Fortunately virgin removed the charge and blocked them from txting me. They also advised me to phone them to remove my number from their list, which I have just done.

I have just received my mobile phone bill and discovered three premium rate texts sent or received (not sure which) to/from number 82288, on two Sundays in June charged to my account, totalling £9.12. I did not send these texts or receive them.  Fortunately my mobile provider were brilliant and have refunded this amount into my account, but people need to be aware that this can happen.

Absolutely shocking.  My 10 year old daughter unfortunately clicked a competition to win an IPAd air who wouldnt at 10?? Unbeknown to her she had unwittingly got me billed 4.50 a week for this scam company who are doing this all the time.  We tried to text stop from her phone which did not work.  So rang the company on 03332027721 who didnt care that they had targeted a 10 year old who wouldnt know any better but said they have removed her number from their database.  Really hope so as I have been charged £9 already.  Vodafone customer service were rubbish couldnt or wouldnt block any premium rate numbers or texts even though she is 10 and I am charge of her bill.  Shocking hope anyone who gets stung by this company gets help to stop them charging your phone company.  Going into Vodafone later to see how I get on wish me luck!!

As in most of the above comments I did a small competition on facebook and have been charged £4.50 on this months Vodafone bill. I sent a STOP text to 82288 which they acknowledged. I hope that will be an end to it. I have learned my lesson

just phoned 03332027721 as a previous poster suggested. The said they would cancel immediately but no refund would be given! I will never ever enter anything again. My husband is recovering from major heart surgery and thus is another problem I can do without. Money is important to us all NOT to some scam company.
