The only way to stop was to text STOP which I did but I am still receiving them and they would be taking money from my phone but I don't have money in and don't feel I can put any money ony phone as they will take it.

- H Bhogal| 1 replyA scam it would seem for certain. Never applied but said charge 4.50 £ a week. Why do mobile companies allow such scam. What is the Governmenr doing.
- Caller: XinWin
- and the answer is ... replies to H Bhogal... nothing. Somewhere along the line, either you or someone using your phone has clicked on a pop-up or entered a "competition", so they'll charge you and keep on doing so. Stop complaining here, get onto the source as outlined previously,or you'll still be paying a year from now for your error.
- Jayne Smith replies to paul chapmanHi there,
BEWARE
I was told that they would refund me via text with a code to take to the post office. The problem is you have to leave their number unblocked with your phone company to recieve the text. And I have since received another charge for £4.50 even after I had texted STOP and spoke to 02!!
I rang the competition Customer Care team on the number they give on the text and I was told that the additional charge had already been called up prior to Texting STOP and that I would have to take it up with their Management Team via email. So far no reply and no refund either :-(
Because I have sent 2 emails to the Management team that have gone unanwered I called the The customer care team back, only to be told they can no longer deal my refund claim because I have taken it above them and I will just have email management again ...... This is the only way I can now contact them and they do not reply to their emails!
The guy I spoke to at customer care was really rude and terminated the call. - DanielleI'm worried that the texts telling me I have signed up will cost me money how can I assure it won't? Or at least make them stop I have sent a text saying stop

- lee kas replies to Benjamin TurnipThanks Benjamin I've just phoned the people off that number and they have supposedly taken me off the system,I too have been paying the premium rate texts.
- Marjorie ThompsonStarted receiving these unwanted texts in July--I never signed up for anything so just deleted them. Only found out last night that it was charging me £4.50 a go and I have now lost £87.19 as a result. EE apparently gets a cut out of this, but have refused to compensate me.

- JillI am being charged £4.50 for premium rate texts and queried Vodafone on it. I don't know who they are from and all Vodafone would say is that it is from 82288 and I need to Google who the number is. At first they refused to do anything about it,and said I must have signed up for something. I started to receive texts with the Lotto results (though I don't and never have never played). I delete the message and have never knowingly agreed to anything, but this is the only thing that I imagine it could be. After my third call, Vodafone gave me the 0333 202 7721 number to call and agreed to put a block onto the premium rate number. Having researched it, this scam has been running since 2012. Surely someone can take some action????
