No They are just a collection agency with 1 rent a Attorney.they use gor intimidation ,bottom feeders is whar they are

I get calls also from the Kentwood Law Group but that number is 300-900-2933

why dont u just stay off the website unless you have something productive to say?

I just got a call from them today and when i called them back some guy answered saying that whatever was said on the phone call would be recorded. I flat out told him i didn't have the money...and he continued to say well we can decrease your amount by 70%...the bill was like 900 and said that it could go down to 600...well i dont know if these people are idiots but reducing 900 by 70% would mean the bill would be around $300! He tried acting all concerned saying "oh well i went to my boss and then my boss went to his boss and got this great deal for you" and he only had me on hold for about 1 minute if that...am i really suppose to believe that he actually went to his boss and hiss boss went to his boss in that little time and worked out such a fabulous deal? He was like oh well i can give you till the end of december to pay 300 and then pay 300 for three more months. and he continued asking personal business...like what did you take the credit card for and why dont you get a job? Then told me to look on craigslist and find side jobs. I dont think that was appropriate. Are they fake? They made me kinda worried

I receive a call from Carlor Velasquez and told him that I don't have the money right now to give me at least month or two and he told me that it was long time the he could take me to court did someone knows if they could that

I owed verizon $187 dollars for a cell bill and 4 years later i get a call from a Carlos Velasquez from the Kentwood Law group, He asked for me by name and told me the  situation and how i owed them $1500 dollars due to Fees and penalty plus interest,and how by giving him my checking account number he could settle my debt today with one payment of $1000 and I could avoid a judgement as he was going to take me to court. I said ok, that I could go with out the rent payment and maybe skip grocery shopping for the month, so i verified my social security number date of birth and gave him my checking account number. I'm so glad i dealt with such a professional law firm.I will sleep soundly tonight knowing that there are company's like Kentwood law group that treat people like family.

Kentwood Law Group called my mother, daughter, sister, son, grandmother, sent somebody to physically harass my daughter, and they don't even care if the debt is legitimate or not, since it's 'obsolete' per F.C.R.A. and not on any of our credit reports, we cannot even verify whether it's a C.C., a car loan, a utility bill, a cell phone ESN hijack, or what! I don't know how to spell it but here goes: "habeas corpus" why would anyone start paying Kentwood Law Group just because they "say you owe somebody" when they have no evidence, a contract, a signature, an agreement, or something that gives you a clue as to whether it's even legit or not.

They were so rude! They threatened to sue, even thought in my previous conversations I had said I wanted to clear the debt. After reading all these complaints and comments, is there a way to pay the original creditor back? I really don't want to give these rude, law-breaking shysters any of my money!!!

Yes, there is a way to pay the original creditor. Here is what you should do. Pay the original creditor. That simple. You do not under any circumstances have to deal with a collection agency. If perchance they do decide to sue you, you will be served a summons to appear in court. Do not ignore the summons. Either hire an attorney or defend yourself. They can not just automatically get a judgement against you. They must sue you in court. This is still America--whats left of it!!!

yoyo for president 2012!.. all jokes aside I hate these low life's who have been harassing me for about 6 months, If not with letters then constant phone calls.I told them to please send me something that says I owe them the debt and they cant or they wont so here I am until they move on to another vicitim .People we must stand together against companies who feed on peoples bad luck. ,

I agree, people should pay their debt..HOWEVER, they need to call the people that HAS the debt not the rest of the world that know or may know other individuals!!!! I call back if it's my responsibility, otherwise they can go straight to hell!!!

Apparently Kentwood is associated with "Square two", and my original creditor said my account was sold to them.  I've already given them my bank account info and they're supposed to take out several payments, but I have no assurance this will even settle the debt.  Now I think I'll close the account before they get to it.  But if I do, how likely is it they will sue?  I think I want to wait and get a letter in hand then send them a money order, but I'm afraid of being sued in the meanwhile.
