"Lance" from this Kentwood Group called my mom in AZ looking for my ex husband. Totally different state. However, i thought to be kind i would contact him to give him his number. Than Jeremy got on the phone and was very rude and talked to me like i was an idiot. i cussed him out several times as i was just calling to give information as requested. JEREMY is a suck ass manager if that is how he handles his calls. You won't get a dime from anybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you collect like that.

OK, got a question or two.  How did they obtain a "judgment" against you without first notifying you of the court date?  It would appear that they have broken a law or two.  Some attorney.  I would suggest you contact a real attorney; a local consumer attorney will most likely give you a free consult.  You may wind up being able to sue them.  And, if you prevail, then you can put a statement on your cfredit report.

You can still talk to a consumer attorney, in your home city, probably for free.  Since these sleazeball company is obviously violating federal law in their collection practices, pretty much anything they are doing is more than "fishy."  I'd be more inclined to thing YOU were working for them, and trying to get people to not research their legal options.

By no means is this professional legal advice so take it for what it's worth...

Tip #1 - Answer the phone.  Presumably they are looking for you or someone you know.  If it is someone you know, politely tell them to go f*&% themselves.  If it is you they are looking for, confirm that they have reached you and this is in fact your phone number.  Without doing this, these bottom feeders will begin to contact your family, friends, neighbors, etc.  Make it perfectly clear that all future correspondence should be done through the mail.  If they give you a hard time beyond that, hang up.

Tip #2 - Send these [***] a certified letter with return receipt requesting a validation of the debt.  Add in writing your request to cease and desist all phone communications.  Chances are they will not have sufficient data to pursue the debt and will leave you alone.

These people are truly the scum of the Earth.  They can't make an honest buck themselves, so the prey on people's misfortunes.  Hell, even if you do honestly owe a debt, you don't owe these jerks anything.  Your creditor has already written you off and sold the debt for whatever they can get for it.

Kentwood Law Group is calling me constantly trying to locate a family member.  I have repeatedly to them to stop calling me.  They won't.  I don't even know how they got my telephone number.  It's very frustrating.

These are rude, obnoxious debt collectors. The things they said to me over the phone were outrageous. Had they said any of that to my face man to man they'd be eating the sidewalk. Gutless, cowardly loud mouth wannabe attornies who could never handle a real case. They've got one underhanded lawyer and a slew of mentally and socially challenged miscreants working for them. Don't answer the phone. If you do decide to answer and they ask if they can talk to so and so tell them "No" and hang up.

Kentwood is a low level bottom feeding collection agency and not much else. Their threats (I record all of these types of calls) and going to be their undoing. They are also notorious for not living up to any deal they make with you, signed or not.

I agree.  They are so agressive with their phone calls that I listed their number as "No Ring Tone" on my phone so I could get some peace and quiet.  I now have a lovely collection of nasty voice mails from them.  I sent them an e-mail telling them to remove my number from their system and received a very impolite response saying they has never called my number.  Maybe they don't understand what caller I.D. is!

Your post took the words right out of my mouth I could not have said it better myself. One question do they actually sue anybody or are they just blowing hot air?

I am on the do not call list.   Does telemartketers regard the "Do not call list?"  Apparently not!
I resent getting these calls they are disturbing!

Where do I begin with these maniacs!  I received a nice threatening letter in my mail, claiming they are handling my account for one of my creditors, claiming to be this 'Kentwood Law Group', received it on a Friday no less, you know, cause it's the weekend & you don't want this on your mind, they prob. think, so you panic & make a call to them & succumb to their threats!  That's what they did to me, but after I thought about it, I now have all my ducks lined up to get back at them for treating me like a serial killer!  I don't think Casey Anthony got this much harassment in one call like I did!  I told the Representative I was going to be filing for Bankruptcy, & you would think I said I blew up a whole city, including its residences...That's how these people make you feel!  He had the nerve to tell me, 'I'M GOING INTO MY PRIME YEARS, WHERE CREDIT IS MOST IMPORTANT!'  PRIME YEARS!!  Ok Doogie Howser, my prime years were in the 1990's while in my 20's when I was a club-hopping man eater...By the sound of you, you were young enough to be my son, so why would I have to listen to your remarks!  If you receive any letters or calls...Just ignore them, in fact, I wouldn't leave your name on your voice mail, that way you can say you never received any messages from them ;)

I have been receiving 3 or more calls a DAY from this group. Three different people who, obviously, don't know that others are calling me for the exact same thing.
Yes...I am in debt and at this time I have ZERO income...I am uncollectable. I made this VERY clear to them. They said they would be taking me to court...I told them, "PLEASE...take me to court".
I got so upset at their threats, I told "Patricia" to get out a dictionary and look up the word "INDIGENT". That ticked her off, LOL.
I am disabled and waiting for my appeal, as my claim was denied. My lawyer told me I was considered "uncollectable" and I relayed that information to "Patricia" AND "Solomon Bashir". I also told them they couldn't touch my SSI, if I win my appeal. I also told them bankruptcy is in my near future. They didn't like hearing that...at all.
Of course...I feel AWFUL that my financial situation has become so desperate. I NEVER had problems with paying my debts until the economy crashed and I became so ill I could no longer work. It makes me feel like a low life that I owe anybody money...but if I don't have any money, what do they want?
I have started screening ALL phone calls and don't have a way to record their calls to me, unfortunately.
