I had a call at work today from Sydney Michael Law Firm asking for myself or my husband. They were searching for my EX husband and saying he had listed us as relatives. When I took the call and asked what this call was in reference to, the caller said that it was for an "investigation". There has been no contact with my ex-husband in 12 or more years. All I want to know is WHY!!

Wow, MY call was from a Mike Martinez from the Sidney Michael Law Firm, but I never answer my phone, I always wait for a message to be left on the cell phone.  The guy was good, but not quite legit in my book.  I knew what this was about, but I am working with a debt elimination company and was explicitly told not to speak with this type of scum under any circumstances.  Yes, I believe that he has been hounding my ex-wife, which bothers me because she is the egg-donor to my son.  I have googled the number and came to this blog, but continue the search I will.  At least I haven't sold my soul to Satan to have a job in which I could verbally assault others via telephone...I wonder if he knows what Hell will be like?

I received a voice message with this return number, calling for a relative I haven't seen or talkeed to in over 6 years. When I returned the call on 7/27/08, the phone was answered with "Law Office of Sidney Micheals." I spoke to a "Mrs. Blankenship." She wouldn't tell me what the matter was about; only that my cousin was "under investigation." They really couldn't tell me anything and I couldn't tell them much in return. My cousin most likely owes money to someone for something, and has been referred to this collection agency that knows no moral boundaries to get money.

KEEPS  CALLING ABOUT THE PROPERTY WE OWN BUT WE DONT WE JUST RENT. LEAVES NASTY MESSAGES LIKE " IT'S LIKE PULLING TEETH TO GET A HOLD OF YOU".
I GUESS I WON'T STRESS THE CALL SO MUCH CONSIDERING THE GOOGLE SEARCH INFO. THE WEB IS VERY RESORCEFUL!

K, this "law firm" just called asking for my guy...regarding an "urgent legal matter" for my guy's EX father-in-law...well, i relayed the message before finding this forum...so glad i was able to tell him before he called. what's funny is he's been divorced for 3 years and we've had this number for less than a year...what BULL!!!! beware...

I got a call at my home on my answering machine today and a note from my neighbor with the company information. Until today I had not heard of this company. This is what I found for them on the Better Business bureau.

Their company is obviously a legitimate collection agency using not so respectful actions to try to collect debt. I'm sure I do have some minimal debt out there, but I was unaware what THEY are specifically calling about. So I called the 866-204-3786 and it rang like 10 times before someone answered and all I could hear in the background was very loud call center. I decided to hang up and try again another time when I have time to talk. (I am at work)

This office called my husband's cousin looking for me.  She said they called several times, stating that this was an urgent matter from attorneys in California, and that there were legal documents I needed to sign.  The person I was to contact was a Richard Beech, at extension 223.  First of all, why would they call HER looking for me?? I ended up calling the number back, after normal business hours, and someone immediately answered. (Which immediately struck me as odd.) The person I spoke to said that Richard wasn't in.  When I gave them my name and asked what it was about, he then asked for the state I was calling from.  When I told him, he said that no one by my name was in their "database". I find all this very odd and uncomforting!!

That was the guy Richard Beach! he called 4 neighbors of mine to get me the same message to call him I found that Very odd and then called some of there family!!! Someone Needs to get the FBI on this right away!!! I called the police but maybe I need to DO it in there City???

08/14/08 My husband recieved a very threating call from a man saying he was the manag. of the Sydney Michael Law firm. My husband did talk to him and became very upset as the man badgerd him about a CC debt saying he would garnish both mine and my husband wages, and so forth. During this conversation my husband stated a more than resonable payment plan and the man stated "Oh so you don't want to pay!" Needless to say my husband hung up the phone. They next morning my husband recieved a mess. on his cell, than after work there was a mess on the board of his work from them, than later that evening we recieved a stickey note from our apartment manag. from them as well. Very un-professional! They had already spoken to him so is it really necessary to leave so many mess.? On top of that they contacted my in-laws and stated that this was a very urgent legal matter. My husbands grandmother recieved the mess. and was very upset she is 86 and thought he was going to be in serious trouble with the law. I am so frustrated with this comp. !

Arrived home from work and was notified by not only my parents but my neighbor who received a call from Sidney Michael and told them it was an emergency call about some personal property that I own, wanted to explain to me how much my property is worth. I own NO PROPERTY and this is a scam. These con-artist are flipping nasty and flat out rude. To call a neighbor 1 block away who I don't even know and then tell my parents that I might have a LOT of money coming if I want to sell my property(where ever my property is), these actions are uncalled for and straight out lies. If you see the above numbers on you caller ID DO NOT ANSWER these are scam artist who are trying to get money from anyone who might know you. I will be turning this information over to the Federal Government and filing charges against this Firm for requesting personal information from unknown individuals and demanding a payment over something that isn't even mine. The individual with the same name as mine is DEAD and  passed away from cancer two years ago, now they want to ruin my credit? ITS  SHOW TIME Sidney Michael!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The balls in my court!

My secratary (this is a medical office) received a phone call from this number concerning about "my relative". I called, spoke to Lilly, who wanted my information as she was "taking care" of one of my relatives. The name did not ring a bell, I told her I could not identify this person either as my relative or my patient. She was very rude: "I know I am talking to an M.D, you do not need to tell me. I know your name, where you are, everything about you. I don't need to talk to you anymore", and hang up.  I am concerned about the legitimacy of this business. Please do not give out your personal infos to this number. I am going to initiate some legal research about them. H. Pham M.D

A person called my medical office in a very rude and authoritative way asked if I knew certain person with certain date of birth. After some research, I informed her this person was neither my relative or my patient, and told her she was calling a medical office and was speaking to a doctor. She said: "I don't care whether you are a doctor or not. I know you, your address, your phone, every thing about you and will go after you". She hung up after that. I called back, complained about her rudeness and demanded to speak to the owner or manager, who never called me back. The way they carry out their "business" is very rude, disrespectful and illegal with threats and intimidation. Please file a complaint to the State Bar of California, the lawyer/owner of this business can be disbarred, which he so rightfully deserves so:

This is Mr. Cuts calling from Sydney Michaels Law firm.  Need to speak with someone that I don't even know in reference to a matter about their propery.  I didn't return the call because I don't even know of the person they were speaking of.

Received call form 866-204-3786 stating they need to reach my brother for a legal matter he should know about. very important.  Name given was Scott Higgins with Sydney Michaels law firm.

Just got a call from a Sidney Michael Law Office in Mont Clair, her name was Joanne asking if I new a person which I did but before I answere her questions I had ask if this was illegal to call my cell phone looking for someone else rather than myslef. She got pissed and started telling me off and said it was perfectly legal for her to do so. Anyways I hung up and called back later to get her information. Is there anything I can do about this???

A man from this number actually called my ex husband, stating he was an attorney from Sydney and Associates with a legal matter. He left this phone number to call him back........illegal stuff here!!
I am going to report this to State Attorney General's office.

they are just collectors they are shady they will tell you they are going to sue you when half the time they dont.. unless you are in california they can but they will not go after you unless you got assets they can get you on or big balances..  they are located in montclair ca. off palo verde street .. they use to be Willfred Breismestier law firm. bunch of low lifes.. that guy Arron gestel is the biggest [***] ever......

Received a call on 10/3/2008 from a "Mr Kutz". This person stated my wife's name and my name and our address correctly. He said that it was an urgent legal matter about our properety that I would want to be "aware" of. I have no idea what this man is talking about. As far as I am concerned, a legal firm typically sends a letter regarding any potential suit. Also, my wife's name is her maiden name on the deed. The mortgage is only in my name. If it was regarding the property, why would they mention our last name together. I am going to call back on Monday to see what this is about. All I can say is that it smells like a scam. No caller ID showed up.

Mr Chris Galvez identified himself from ??? Michaels Law Offices.  He was asking for information on my son for a very importance matter and gave the phone #, ext 223.  I called the number and was put on hold for 5 min before I hung up.  I called my son.  He said he had received a letter from them but no specific details given about the account, the amount owed or even the proper credit card company.
I advise anyone to check with the CC company before giving any information to these people.

hey,wach out for this number 909-542-1293,it comes up as landmark collection,I "Google" it and came up as a greeting card co.but in reality its Sidney Michael Law Office..BE AWARE ...
