- AnnieI got a call from this number about Fraud on my Debit cards so I callled my bank and it was my bank's Fraud Company. If you aren't sure call your bank. My debit was put on hold until I called my bank.
- Caller: Fraud Company
- CherylGot a call on my cell phone with recording indicating for me to call them regarding fraudulent activity on my debit card with the last 4 digits of _ _ _ _. I dismissed it and then later found a message on my home phone from the same people. I started to wonder and went to look for my debit card only to find that I could not find it. I was going to call the number in the back of my debit card, but how could I if I lost my card! So, I decided to call my bank to report it lost. I found that my card was indeed, fraudulently used. It's a good thing that they can pick up this sort of activity because I would not have known about someone using my card since I thought it was in my purse.

- TxMoto replies to MitchIt's legitimate... When I called back I gave the case number. The only thing they asked me for was my name and phone number. They had every transaction on my account, last several days.
- Fraud SquadPart of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions. Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is real - an obvious giveaway.
The large number of phony posts claiming the call is real come from some con artists spamming the site to try to fool people. There is a similar pattern to other fake calls claiming to be from Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo, RBC, PayPal, etc. all with the same shill postings:

- Bob| 2 repliesJust got the call . . . and it was definition for real. Not for my bank card, but for my wife's card. A few times I did not want to give out personal info (last 4-digits of SS#, and Zipcode) . . . but did I did and nothing was found so next question: "telephone number, please." Nothing, so then the person gave the last 4-digits of the bank card. Hmmmmm, after checking my cards --nothing like that I had. So I check with my wife, and sure enough, her debit card had those last 4 digits. Next, we put the lady on hold so we could go login into the bank account online to see if there was any suspicious activity -- none. Then, since the lady was still holding on 5 minutes later we gave our address, and that did it for the caller as she started giving one by one all the charges on the account and the correct amounts for the month. It was only then we were absolutely sure this was a legitimate call. Next, the lady gave out phone numbers to call the bank tomorrow to make certain everything is still okay to continue using the card. Hope this helps.

- BS Alert replies to BobSounds like a pile of B.S, "Bob."
- Bob replies to BobSo now just in case this is B.S., and until we are able to call the Bank in the morning, I just had my wife take out the funds in the account and transferred it to another. I will report in the morning what happens after the bank call.
- BobOkay . . . just got off the phone with Reliance Bank . . . the call "WAS" legit. My wife traveled out of the area for two days, and that triggered the call (the bank said). So no B.S. and the Fraud Service name is Enfact. VERIFIED.

- R. BurtonFor the past month, we have been receiving phone calls from this number at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 9:00 P.M. The person the they are trying to reach is a Mr. R. Burton and they give me his account number, which I am not going to put in this report. I have called them four times and my husband has called them three times. Each time they assure us we will not get any more phone calls. They say the name of their business is CNS ENSACT, which I looked for on the internet but could not find. I asked the last rep (April) for her home phone number but she wouldn't give it to me. I am so tired of these phone calls. They are calling on behalf of Vy Star Credit Union (and 8,000 other businesses). I sure want these calls to stop. Any ideas?

- ThisIsLegit replies to Kristin| 1 replyJust got a call from this number. Didn't trust them, and I definitely gave the guy a hard time. Checked my account and there was a few hundred dollars unaccounted for. Will call the bank in the AM, but I'm glad I didn't ignore this call. It was legitimate.
- TC replies to ThisIsLegitAll banks now have 24 hour 7 days 365 a year 800 service.. why do these people keep saying they wait the morning or on Monday is beyond me. If you have a problem you can call right away. The Bob above said he would wait to call the bank after the weekend. Only people not familiar with banks would say that.
- jenny vermillionThis number 877-253-8964 called me. I called the number back, but hung up. It asked for english or espanol. Therefore, i hung Up.
- LBI received a call yesterday from this number and I too was skeptical, really gave the individual a hard time. Bottom line IT IS LEGIT and there were two transactions pending from out of state transactions. Of course I was verifying this info as we spoke and the charges had just recently been made.
After they verified several other charges to include the vendor and amount that I had made, they informed me that they were closing the card right then and that I would receive a new one in 4-5 business days. My money would be put back in the account and they apologized for the inconvenience of me having to wait for the new card.
I'm glad they caught it immediately and glad they have a way of looking for certain patterns to let them know that fraudulent activity is possibly taking place and to alert the card holder so quickly. - PatBIt is legit. It left me a message because I had tried to use my debit card and it was declined. I called the number back and was going to hang up if asked for any personal info that they shouldn't be asking for. Only asked for a reference # and then wanted to verify if I had made 3 recent transactions. I had made them, but one was with a phone card swipe thing which flagged it. I also called my bank and they stated the number is legit and is a banking card fraud line that will automatically call with questionable charges. I'm glad it is there and I'm glad I called back so that I didn't try and go and get groceries and get embarrassed when my card was declined.
- Caller: 877-253-8964
- BeenaroundIt is a fraud center. Due to dumb scanning machines (multiple swipes) it flagged the card. It did not ask for any compromising information.
- LonaldWhy not just leave a message to call the card's customer service line (on the back of the card). Seems to be the safer route.
- Glenn T.I too was skeptical of this number but I did call them, gave them the case number and they verified that fraudulent charges occurred on my son's debit card the previous evening. The charges occurred in Switzerland of which we never been to or was even close to the previous day.
- Perki replies to RickWrong, it is the fraud detection number.
- Donna Elsasser replies to John SharpI called my bank first and was told my card was on a fraud hold. I had to call the number because my bank could not unblock it. Check with your card or bank number on the back of your debit/credit card. It will be verified by them.
- TaraThis number is legit. It is a debit card fraud protection service. I did not answer the call because I was trying to subscribe to a movie streaming site when the call came in. I completed the transaction but my debit card was declined although I had money in my account. When I looked up the number I saw several people said it was fraud protection, so I called my bank. My bank confirmed that it was fraud protection and that my account had been flagged because of the transaction I was trying to make when the call came in. Turns out the movie streaming site is in Great Britain and they flag any transactions from there. So if you get a call from this number it is for real. And the fraud protection company is on the ball.
