Call to my Cell Phone from:877-710-3334  7:11p.m.  June 28, 2016
Stated they were from:  Greene County Correctional  (Greene County, TN??)  wanting me to pre-pay for an inmate that I supposedly know that is wanting me to charge to my Charge Card to pay for Minutes for this inmate to use to call and talk.
$14.00 for 30 Minutes, or half that for 15 Minutes....I hung up before they finished the call!!!
Greene County, TN  Correctional, or the Local Sheriffs Department needs to find out who,and what this is  and stop it! It is a SCAM!!

Sounds like the voice of experience speaking there, Rachel. Know a lot of people in jail? FYI they do NOT announce who is attempting to call. The call I received didn't even identify that it was from a prison, just asking for acceptance of the call. Who in their right mind would NOT question such a call? Stupid? Really? Are you 12?

Just received three back to back calls from the St. Joseph County Jail inmate trying to reach me. The quick recording says "hey baby it's me I love you".  I could except to talk to them for either 10 minutes or five minutes and have my debit card charged. I don't think so! This is a scam in my eyes. I do not have any loved ones in jail

Received 2 calls from an inmate asking to enter credit card for charge of $14 for 10 minutes. I hung up both times and never entered any info, but low and behold, 3 days later my bank was hit for $29.40. 2 $14 charges plus the tax. Beware. Check you bank account . I think this is a running scam to verify your bank account through your phone number & then start spending. I believe the cards are compromised somewhere else & they use this number to verify the account.

I have received 3 voice mails from this number.  Since I'm on the Do Not Call List, I was wondering what marketer, etc is trying to use my number.  Now, after taking the time to find out what this is, I find it's someone making a random call and annoying the heck out of me.  There should be a way of ending unwanted telephone calls, especially when I have done nothing to solicit them.

Got a call, did not answer, partial message said charge to my mobile number, other party hung up.

If is no a scam then they need to Identfy the inmate END OF STORY

It's not a scam unfortunately it IS probably someone you know calling you from jail. It is the phone number used by secures inmate calling service for several states

It is an inmate phone service.  The service is used all over apparently.  My "friend" uses it from a jail in Kentucky. I have answered and used it successfully a few times.  It's crazy expensive.  So it is legit but who knows about the inmate on the other end...

Bulls**t, its a scam, if its not then it should tell you flat out who the person is and where they are BEFIRE asking you to accept any charges. How does it feel to be a lowlife scamming piece of s*t?

This number is a scam. There's someone on here who keeps saying it's not but think about it, he gives you a Web link to open an account... Be wise!

I got this call this morning around 10. The call lasted 0 seconds which I thought was weird. I didn't even hear it ring. I looked up the area code which was 877 to see if it was safe to call back and all I got was that it was a toll free number. I called the number back on speaker because my friend was interested in it as well, and we were really scared. As the automated voice was talking about some correctional faculty for inmates or some [***] like that, I deleted this app called sideline. The reason why we were scared is because my friend and I were talking about schizophrenia. We hadn't been done for talking for more than a minute when I recieved this call. It could all just be a big coincendence, but it was just odd. The number then left a 2 minute voice mail asking to extend this call I would have to pay $9.99. I dont know Im just gonna leave it alone.
