I forgot to mention we were scared because we thought somebody was spying on my phone and thats why I deleted the phone app I use and hung up the call. Possibly the CIA??

Got a call at 3 am. Ignored call because I didn't realize ognize #.  Then I saw a voice mail so I checked message.  No company or person identified but said a charge would appear on my phone bill.

On 4/16/2016 my bf got locked up in Savannah GA for a minor charge. He called me from a +1 (912) 447-3335 number that shows on caller ID as Savannah, GA at 11:53PM. As the number called my boyfriends mother called. I quickly seen the state and I said my bf is probably locked up bc he went to GA for the weekend and I then declined my boyfriends mother call. I answered as quickly and the recording told me it was a county jail for the location I mentioned before and to accept the charges you had to press a prompt (which I did) once done the phone automatically disconnected. My bf mother said she received the same call. I called the number back and listen to the prompt to get customer service. The lady who answered seem so automated. She asked me did I want to set up an account. She had me setup a six number pin. I gave the location for where my bf was. She told me the charges for a 15 minute call. I gave my name, home address, once she asked for payment information I informed her that I know bf will not be in there long so I don't want to create an account for monthly charges etc. I told her I will callback and mentioned that all my information is stored and that she and her colleague would be there up to 7:30 am central time. She also informed me she was one hour ahead of me. My bf bailed out that morning for $1495.00 and he had called me to let me know he just has to return back to be seen by a judge in July 2016. Now on 4/18/2016 at 3:24 am I receive a call +1 (877) 710-3334 why am I still trying to accept a collect call from an inmate? SCAM!

This is not a scam. Different jails use it so you can set up an account for your phone. I hv used it for more then one jail. Different jails use different systems it just depends where the person is. Once your account is out of money they will call to see if you want to add more so that was y they called u bk after he was out

You keep calling my number, why, you are the inmate.

I received a call from this number once before and again today. I have no idea what they are saying since it is a robo call in Spanish. I am not fluent in Spanish, therefore, I cannot interpret the call.  If this is an inmate calling, as previous statements say it is an inmate number, they then have the wrong number. I do not know anyone incarcerated.  As far as I am concerned, this is a scam number.  I placed it on auto reject list and continue to get voicemails with the same recording. How is this possible?

I keep getting call from this # saying it is a correction facility. They are saying it's my son and asking for my credit card number to talk to him for 15 minutes.

This number spam calls me . I've gotten three calls within the last 45 mins. The message says it's someone from a correctional facility. Then they want my credit card info to accept. I think not! Only people that would call me from jail are not in jail...... Scam. Do not give them your info. And it it is someone I know in jail, they can stay in there and learn their lesson. Scam!

This is an automated call from an inmate at the Harris County (Houston) TX jail.  It prompts you to accept charges for a pre-determined call time (10-20 mins) to talk to the inmate.  You don't get charged unless you push 1 or 2 to accept the charges.

This is from Securus Technologies, it is the service that jails use for inmate phone calls. If an inmate calls you this will be the service they use in many jails. If you actually have someone in jail go to their website you can set up a calling account at a much cheaper rate. The call and company is actually legitimate, just because you do not know someone in jail does not mean it is a scam. Someone may have inadvertently called your number or you may have someone that got jailed by a small little southern town like I did.

called 3 times on June 3rd voice mail said it would cost 15 dollars to accept call, blocked it, but still comes through as a voice mail automated call! very annoying!

it's from a company called Securus. Inmates use this to call friends and family depending on which jail they are housed in. Not all jails use Securus.

Thought this was a scam because I don't know anyone in jail. Blocked the number on my phone. Turns out my son had been arrested and put in jail over a weekend and was trying to reach us for help. The only way he could call was collect, using this service. Taking the call would have spared us a lot of worry.

phone rang 10:47 a.m.. An inmate from a correctional institution, which I immediately hung up. I have received at least 10 calls like this in the last week. Number has been blocked.
