Bank of America was sued and had to refund overdraft charges and now the robo dialer from Tomco Services Group is calling to collect on overdraft fees threatening legal action by contacting your neighbor and friends

While I have an account with BOA, the email came to an address not in my BOA profile. When I click the link, it takes me to
http://mtefcu.kmsenterprise.net/   It accepts anything I tell it for my name, etc until it comes to the fake debit card # I put in.  Meanwhile it took 15 minutes on the phone (877-833-5617 the # in the email) to get an American sounding female asking for my info.  At least it wasn't one of those heavily accented "there is a problem with your computer" fools.  Just a clever fake.

My elderly father just received a very official looking email saying BoA had detected "unusual activity on his debit/credit card on 11/11/16 and to call 1.877.833.5617 immediately to clear up the matter. My dad doesn't even have a Bank of America credit or debit card, so I would say this is a phishing scam. He was ready to call the number and put in his credit union debit card information and god-knows-what-else they asked him for.

This number, 877-833-5617, purports to be the fraud department of Bank of America.  But it appears to be a scam.  Long story short, we received a message from Equifax that a credit card account had been opened in our name with BankAmerica.  When we called in, somehow, we were connected to someone at the "fraud department" of Bank America.  Lots of questions were asked of us, most of which we answered. When we became suspicious, the person we were speaking to gave us the 877-833-5617 number and a name and an identity number and told us to hang up and they would call us right back.    They did, but we checked the number online and saw it was a scam number.  By that time, we discontinued our conversation with them.

Got call from 877-833-5617. Said they were Bank of America fraud department and asked to speak to me by name. Just say "No". Then they apologized and hung up. Note: I have no accounts with Bank of America.
