I called this number back and it is an AT&T survey and sales line. I returned from work and had 12 calls from this number in a single day. They didn't leave any message, so I'm guessing they are trying to sneak in without you knowing who they are. By the way I work with a phone company and can find out where any number comes from. And will help anyone as long as I do it legal.

Thanks THunter for the update. I've been receiving calls from 8882117690 & do dot answer Unknown callers that do not leave a message. I wonder how much each call costs AT&T. Maybe that's the reason behind the extra $2 on the bill that just came. Keep it up AT&T you'll soon out price yourself,

I had AT&T Uverse installed, calls started next day so I guess from the above post that it's a customer care survey call to see how the install went. I will answer next time and post results.

Numerous calls from this number.  Number last registered to a defunked furniture retailer of pressed wood chips and glue located in Mississauga, Ont

I just cancelled my service yesterday, I'm sure they are calling to ask me why.

it is the survey company for ATT you can dial it back anytime after it has called you and will only take "about 2 minutes". i had a miserable experience with two different customer service agents when i called to ask about my bill. it was very helpful to be able to leave the 30 second voice message to make sure they know why i had a horrible waste of 50 minutes from the multiple bad agents from non english speaking countries. get a timer ready so you know when the end is coming...

I get five calls per day . i am collecting information as to who Dennis is and file a complaint

I call the number back from a land line to tell them to stop but it gives you a recording that they are a survey group and they dont fall under the do not call list etc etc. The only way to get them to stop calling is to answer it and tell them that way but it eats up your mins.

this is a AT&T customer survey, answer it, chose whether to do the survey(about 2 minutes) or not.and this mysterious number will not call you again.

by the way its kind of refreshing because they dont ask in , for , or about Spanish!!!

Caller ID lists the # and says "TOLL FREE CA" They can't seem to navigate our IVR and won't leave a message. Looks like they wait about 50-60 seconds then hang up.

They called after business hours and left a fragment of a pre-recorded message in voice mail.

no wonder our phone bills are so high, we are paying for this foolishness, if they would just have phone service in stead of all this other stuff maybe our bills would be lower

I do not know who is calling me from this number.   I DO NOT answer any calls when they
do not identify themselves.   I wish to be removed from this calling list immediately...I am on
the DO NOT CALL list.   Thank you.

18882117690 called, no message...I take it's AT&T from what I've read in the previous postings.

I didn't take the call when it first came in.  I read these comments and decided the easiest way to make them stop was complete their survey.   SO.......I called the number and typed in my phone number where the call came in and the voice said this wasn't the number they were calling for their survey and good-bye.    I added this number to my DO NOT ANSWER contact name on my iPhone.  So if they call again...........I won't be answering their calls anymore.     Can't say I didn't try to make them go away.

I am getting calls from this number.  I have AT&T and I do not plan on changing..  They have always been good to me, very nice, etc. I pay my bill every month and they leave me alone, if I have a problem, I call them and it is taken care of.   I did have to talk to them yesterday, and after reading you all's posts,  maybe this is what the call was for.

I bought a limited calling plan from att. I get 60 calls a month and then i get charged extra. today is my first day and ive already gotten 15 calls from ATT!!!!!

How can I make this stop?
