- StarLandline call. Caller ID read 800 Service. LL not with ATT. Picked up briefly and heard something like a fax tone. I hung up immediately. Came in at 11:00 Pacific Time.
- MikeYeah everytime I call ATT for support you can bet the next day I will get upwards of 10 phone calls from this number. It is a survey number asking how they did with the service provided. They provide good service but what makes it so damn horrible is this stupid number calling the day after continously. I just called att support and blasted them telling them this irritation makes me give them bad customer feedback. They spend more money making these stupid calls thats why my phone bill is so high. If I want to take a survery then I will initiate the survey. They should just stop this idiotic practice.

- JBI recently changed my AT&T service plan and the call from (888) 211-7690 with ID "TOLL FREE CALL" was telling me that the changed services I had requested were now activated & to verify they worked as requested.

- RichGot a call today with no caller ID. Just Toll Free. Did not pick up. AT&T came to my house yesterday to fix a no dial tone problem. Charged me 110 dollars. Today the phone is still broke! No dial tone or dropped line every minute or two! I should have picked up so I could complain about the [***] service.

- sugarpuss| 1 replyI am sick of these calls, and others like it! Being on the "do not call" list is a joke. I don't see that it has made any difference in the junk calls---surveys, offers for credit cards, life insurance, car insurance, funeral plot, loan offers, etc., ad nauseum.
If it's AT&T, then I guess that explains why the call block service they offer will only block up to six calls---I guess they don't want us to be able to block too many!
I would like to be able to block up to fifty calls---that would stop the majority of the it.- Caller: Unsure-probably AT&T
- ashThis number keeps calling me! About a YEAR ago, I called AT&T to ask about high speed internet... They said it was not available in my area yet... So I went with Comcast. Now, they keep calling again and again to notify me that AT&T is available in my area... then when I tell them AGAIN no thank you... They call the next day for a survey of how the guy did the day before.

- UnlistedI've received close to 100 phone calls from unknown numbers with different area codes since I moved to my present residence 8 months ago. I've always had an unlisted number and always signed up with the "do not call" list. I phoned AT&T yesterday to discuss this problem. I thought that whoever had this phone number before me had the same problem. The AT&T agent told me this phone number has been out of service for 6 years before it was given to me! So why am I getting so many unknown calls? I never answer the phone, if I don't know who is calling. Most numbers are repeated continuously. They wake me up in the morning and sometimes at night. Usually when I call back, I'm told that the number is "out of service". Today I've received 3 calls from 888-211-7690. I called this number and was told "your call did not go through. Please try your call again. 035T". I phoned again, but got the same message. I'm going to have my phone service discontinued by the end of the month. Life is too short to live with this harassment.

- ShirleyAT&T has evidently lost it. I used to work for Bell/AT&T and can remember when customer service was a given---if you wanted to keep your job. Now it is so impersonal and the reps are poorly trained and rude. They don't care about their customers anymore. I worked there almost 35 years, and can't believe the lack of respect I get when I call my local company. On top of everything else, they play these survey games and "voice link" dial every number in a prefix so even folks with non-published numbers are mercilessly harrassed. I used to stick up for the company...now I detest them along with everyone else.

- EdgardoTXBeen getting these calls with the number and "TOLL FREE CALL" displayed. You'd think the phone company ATT would have their NAME display with the number so you'd know who's calling! Anyway after reading here who it is, I answered and completed the survey since I am an ATT customer and did recently call their CS. No more calls! Thanks for the information.

- EdgardoTX replies to sugarpussYou could get a Panasonic KX-TG65xx series or similar phone like I have that has call blocking. You hear a half a ring before it blocks the incoming call.
From the Operator manual..
"Storing unwanted callers
You can store up to 30 phone numbers in
the call block list by using the caller list or
by entering the numbers directly." - junknown

- No More AT&TBest thing is to drop AT&T -- poor services and high price. If you do, watch their billing. They billed me for long distance from the day I cancelled my service to the next month. They did not understand why I wasn't happy because they sent me a check for $2+ dollars. After I walked their representative through my bill, they said they send the rest of my $28+ dollars I was due. From what I hear from other customers, they have had similar billing irregularities. I do not thing their billing practices are honest. I believe they try to get away with anything they can. As far as I'm concerned, they can cram their survey.
The day after I showed them that they owe me more, they start calling multiple times.- Caller: AT&T

- nanaI am on the do not call list and have had three calls today, two yesterday. Husband on crutches, so this is a pain.
How can AT&T be calling? I spent over an hour trying to report no service, disconnected twice.- Caller: AT&T
- Robert PuglisiI received a call from this "toll free number" a few minutes ago. It was a survey from AT&T concerning a service call I had the day before for my ATT-Uverse TV. The technician did an excellent job of rehooking my TV to the DVR, DVD player, and iPad. It's important to note that with this new ATT-Uverse, there are a number of ways to hook-up your equipment depending on the age of it, type, brand, etc. ATT technicians know their business, but the outlanders know basically nothing and just read from a prepared sheet. For instance. They refer to the DVR as a "box". Why not call it a DVR?
However, it might be helpful if ATT didn't block caller ID and simply said ATT.
One week I got 25 calls from different toll free numbers and only one legitimate call. So what am I even doing with a telephone?- Caller: AT&T
