I recieved a call from this number and thought it was linked to our county jail.  I know no one from this number.

This number keeps popping up on our caller ID, we definitely don't know anybody in jail so I think the whole message is a scam. They call about everyday about the same time, so we ignore it, VERY ANNOYING!!!

i have gotten this call but i never answer a call from people i don't know.ill let them leave a VM and check it later, expecialy a (888) area code. never got any voice mails saying to dial 7. but its gets kinda of annoying because this number has called me atleast 10 times over the last few month... gets a bit annoying

Got a 4th call from these guys now.  No sound, no voicemail, no heavy breathing.  WTF!  Time to register with donotcall.

I might know someone from a correctional facility but I'm not sure...what confuses me is that after ringing just once it hangs up on its own...

whoever this is calls from Tennessee Dept of Corrections I'm in Missouri and don't know anyone in Tenn. I can't even understand what the guys name is even though he says it... The calls came in every few minutes at least 10 times. WTF, why are they calling me!?! I have privacy manager and can't figure out why these are getting through, it comes through as Unknown Name...

stop calling my home and cell who ever you are.. and how in the hell did they get both numbers if they are unlisted. Where is Port County Sheriff office. I tried calling back and got a recording no one ever came to the phone. Another message if you are a attorney call 800-686-2611,this number is disconnected.

my sister called me from this number,
I would like now from wich prision becouse it was.I couldn't hear very good the name of prision that she is.
I haven't now nothing about her for two weeks.

my friend called me from this number, i would like to now from which prison because it was hard to catch the name of the prison.

This number comes from federal and some state prisons. They are totally free and you won't be charged if you accept. I know alot of you may not know anybody in jail but sometimes people call these numbers thinking its a family member. My baby brother calls from this number,he is in a prison close to st.louis. I know you all don't want to accept these calls but it could really save a person a lot of hurt and depressed feelings if you would just let them know that they have the wrong number so they can stop calling wasting your time and their money. I know I would feel like crap if I thought my family was constantly hanging up on me, and just to find out years later it was the wrong number. ONE more thing. YOU JUST MIGHT BE SURPRISED WHO YOU MIGHT KNOW IN JAIL. Jail doesnt make you a bad person. Save your time and theirs by letting them know, more then likely they just got the wrong number.

I just got a call from this number as well. It said something about correction center and to press a certain key to accept but I hung up.

Don't know anyone in jail, just would like to find out who this is.

Received a call fron this number it stated it was from plok county jail, then it went into spanish * hung up.

The number is for PCS... yes, they are calls from a correctional facility... and i find it hard to believe that these people say they know NO ONE in jail/prison... how do you know? There are MILLIONS of people who are in jail - and maybe they are dialing the wrong number - or maybe someone you know may have made a mistake (it does happen, you know!). So quit whining and block your number (if it's bothering you THAT much, being on hold won't bother you!!) or just ignore the call... just don't get huffy-puffy if you do later find out that you could've helped someone that you "care about" b'cuz you were too ignorant to think that maybe, just MAYBE, someone in your perfect circle made a mistake!

I got this same phone number 888-288-9879 and the call /recording was in Spanish - So I kept ignoring it - but after about 50 calls in a matter of days - I pressed "0" to get ahold of an operator to tell them this was the wrong number... some older Spanish speaking gentleman tried to get in contact with another Spanish sounding name...  I told him "No Estas Aqui" "and No Conosco" which I believe is Not here and dont know... I could be wrong... I dont speak Spanish and hung up the phone after about 30 seconds of conversation - hopfully this was not a phishing scam and I dont get billed thousands of dollars...

I dialed 7 just as they asked so I wouldn't be bothered with someone in jail that I don't know...hope like hell that this 7 won't cost me anything

We do not know anyone in prison and keep receiving phone calls from this number.  We have received over 5 phone calls within on a sunday.  We want it stopped!

this number called me a hour ago.... i didnt want to accept the charges so i hung up.... i dont know anyone in jail.
