This Claudia B$@@9&H has been calling me as well. I contacted my lawyer who happens to be in Hamilton and she is a fraud. Don't pay them

i just got my first phone call today and she stated my name and said i needed to call her back at this 905-296-3027.  If this girl calls me again after reading all this i am going to be completely rude and tell her I am contacting the better business bureau to make sure she is a ligitmate busniess and she what she says about it and also record her phone calls.  This b*tch has to be taken down and I am NOT going to be  nice to her!  SHes in for a rude awakening!

Glad my friend found this site for me. I got a call today from this michelle and so far as i know, don't have any outstanding debts, it's stressful though. I'm also all the way in BC, I've never even heard of this premier fitness club. I guess wait and see how much more she calls. Does anyone know of any other companies she apparently represents????

Been receiving calls from in regards to debt with MDG(big mistake dealing with that company). Not surprised in the least that the agency they use to retrieve debt is as disreputable as them. I had fallen behind on payments, tried making arrangements with MDG, but they refused to make reasonable arrangements. Demanded full payment which there was no way I could afford. They then sent to collections and now I'm dealing with this Claude individual. Have received no first notice, just harassing calls. I'll be dealing with this today now that I know what I'm dealing with. Have numerous documentation showing that I tried to make reasonable arrangements with MDG and they refused to be reasonable. Seems that they(MDG) and the collections agency they use are equally disreputable and exercise sleazy, threatening tactics that are both illegal and a poor way to do business.

No one has any reason to be calling me.  I don't sign up for ANYTHING and have one credit card that has never seen a missed payment.
I will be finding which authorities to file a complaint with.

I got a call from " Roseanne"  from Steven Walters professional corporation. She is trying to collect from me on a legit debt. Is she actually a lawyer or does she work for a law firm ?  I googled Steven Walters & got a lawyers listing in Toronto. I'm going to call it & see if I can get her there. She only calls me at work.

Received a call from a lady and so I called the company I DID owe money too and they verified that they have asked them to 'collect' from me....

Michelle called my Wife and said that there was a claim against me, due to the Protection of privacy act she could not tell my wife what the claim was regarding. I finally got in contact with her and I was informed that I was sent to her collection agency over less than $100.00. I informed her that I have not had a membership with this Gym since 2003 to which I only signed a one year contract. I found out that the Gym had been taking money out of my account since then and owes me about $3000.00. The best thing I can tell you is to never use this Gym service because it is total crap.

She jus called me, saying she had a "claim on her desk"  everytime I call back I get a voicemail. I just looked it up and found this, so I called her back and told left a message that if she calls my house again I will call the police and report her.

Michelle just called me for the 4th time...she says if I dont call her back by 5pm she is going to take legal action against me...oh well...bring it on.

'Rosemary Smit' called me and threatened me with all sorts of legal action if i did not pay her a debt. She did not leave any contact details other than her name, no numbers, email addresses and did not identify the client she was collecting for. Caller display said 'Steven Walters'. Rosemary used a very aggressive tone of voice that I fear would be scary to anyone old. A very dirty tactic to scare people into paying up.

If she calls again, I will take her to court if that needs be. She is breaking the law.

I just received my first voice mail from "Michelle," that works for Steven Walters law firm. She says she is calling regarding a claim. Thanks to this blog site I know she is a fraud!

Michelle Smit has left a few messages, but refers to me by my boyfriend's surname- obviously incorrect! I have never been a member or even attended a Premier Fitness before...any other companies people have been brought to Steven Walters Law Firm by? I called back a couple of times but only received voicemail. First off if she doesn't even have my last name correct I am doubtful what she can do, and second I'm not even sure what this is about because she has left no client name or amount!
Has anyone actually been taken to court or known that their credit rating has been affected because of this?

I have been receiving threatening calls for the last three months from "Claudia". I am a member in good standing at Premier Fitness and have always paid my bills. Today I contacted the offices at Premier Fitness and they claim to have no knowledge of these actions and are looking into it for me. I will update if I hear anything back. Thanks to this site I will continue not to pay this amount.

Our daughter joined Direct Energy for balanced billing and only did so as she was promised by the company representative that if she moved back home to finish her university that it wouldn't be a problem as the contract states that she can cancel as long as she is living in an area they cannot bill in, which she is.

our daughter is now being harassed by this same woman who keeps calling her and sending mail using an incorrect name. we don't know the person she is sending this too.  the advantage I guess is that we are photocopying all the info as it comes to our home and sending it back as she keeps mailing to the wrong person.  very strange! Wow this may tell anyone out there--not to ever get involved with the company that hired this person who is nothing short of a hoodlum!

I just got a call from a Michelle Smit from a Steven Walkers Law Office. She was very rude, threatening and un-called for. It was supposedly regarding my Premier Fitness "bill". This girl is crazy, if you can block her number and never talk to her again!

She was asking for the last month's payment that didn't go through for $29!!!!

I just got a call from a MichelleSmit too! She didn't even say what for. I don't even live in Ontario! And as far as I know I have nothing in collections. And was never a member of any gym....hmm I might call her back just to tell her where to stick it

Just called and left a msg with my husband. I called the # back and got the voicemail to Steven Walter Law Firm. thats when I googled it and found this site. I will be reporting to police if this becomes a problem like the rest of you have had.

I received a call from Michelle and guess what?  After reading all these comments..I have never been to a gym or had anything to do with any of these companies that they are collecting for.  This is harassment and has to stop.  There has to be a way to put these people out of business, perminantly.

Glad i found this site just received a voicemail stating, Micelle from Walter Steven Law Office,my file is on her desk, contact her at 905-296-3027. I will be recording her messages from now on. Thought something was funny she sounded like she was calling from outside lots of backgroung noise, unproffesional, that's what had me wondering. Had to check it out!
