same thing here with regards to MDG...this ones name was Rose  i called her and asked for her info and she started to get rude  i have told her that i have checked onto her and have seen lots of negative comments on her and she said she will post negative comments about me if i don't pay up..she refused to send me proper proof she has assumed the debit to be collecting on MDG's behalf..  I told her not to call me at work anymore and she said she will call when ever she wants...and they she will be contacting payroll dept about garnishing me wages....

hello i have been to small claims court and you have to served with proper papers and it cannot happen in another province..the law firm has to take the matter to you...in your area....who every Angry is is wrong ...also garnish of wages is depended on employer if he/or she wants to garnish your pay cheque . If they dont have to garnish  and most dont.....other wise all creditors can take this route its to costly and time consuming which is why more don't  unless its a large amount....i think Angry is probably Michelle or Rose from the Stephen Law office...

dont give her anything  ask her for documentation

Double trouble from Bradford Exchange

Angry customers of mail order knick-knack firm Bradford Exchange who never got the music box they ordered as a Christmas present might find ­something bitterly ironic about the experience of Harry Watson.

We have reported how customers of the firm - it's ultimately US-owned and made a gross annual profit of just over £100million - where left with nothing.

But not Harry, from Great Horton, Bradford. He got TWO music boxes.

He said: "I sent a £46.98 cheque and then got a letter telling me they wanted paying before dispatch, so I thought the cheque had been lost in the post.

"I sent another, asking them not to cash the first one if it turned up. But they cashed both.

"I requested a repayment and instead I got a second music box, which I don't want."

Harry has told Bradford Exchange he wants a refund for one cheque and it can have back the second music box - maybe it could send it to a customer still waiting for one. But he's had no response.

Nor did we when we asked for comment.

To those commenting here, Stephen Walters is indeed a  Lawyer. His office is in Mississauga and his collection division is in Hamilton.

We have used their service many times with great result. Collection agency law does not always apply to Law firms.. so be careful on running away. This firm has sued for us in the past, and does not hesitate to do so on debtors who are non cooperative.

I have just recieved a voicemail stating a Roseanne from this law firm wants to talk to me, I am leary and will not be calling this woman back. I have recorded the message and will be consulting my lawyer, and the BBB as well.
  I've never bought a computer, or belonged to a gym so this is a fraud, and if they want to go ahead with a claim I will talk to my lawyer about a lawsuit against this person, and see where that gets me

My company has used their services, but never again.  The office manager is totally disorganized and their accounting practices are a joke.  Sorry you think so highly of them.  They ARE scammers.

I received a call from Claudia today, said she was calling in regards to my late father's estate. I was confused at to why they would be call me so I googled the Steven Walter Law firm and came across this site and found out she is a fraud. I called her back and got a voice mail threatening to call a lawyer if she ever calls me again. Pretty sick to pull this crap on families that just lost a family member.

Really.....I find this hard to believe after reading all the threads attached to this site. Are you sure you are not Claudia yourself??? I'm pissed after the call I recieved today,when I'm finished with this company they will wish they never called me.

I too got a call from Claudia towards MDG Computers. I owe them money for items that I bought about 2 years ago and still owe more than the amount that was agreed upon at the start. My finances are in bad shape and I told them this. Their add says that they are willing to work with you, but that is not true. I wanted to reduce the payments but they would not allow that. So as it sits I have not been able to make a payment for a few months now. the other thing they did was change amounts and go in more than once and kept nsfing me at my bank. I had to change my bank account because I can't afford to pay the$45 nsf charge and more than once in a month. They are a rip off just like Claudia. I told her I couldn't afford anything but she said that I had to make some kind of payment. I said I would make a $5 payment and she said it had to be a minimum of $50. Then she threatened me about taking legal action. I told her I would give her $50 but that would leave me with no food. Now I find out she is a scammer. No moneys are going her way

I forgot to mention that I am on a limited income because of my disability. After I pay the bills I usually have about $50 for groceries. When I applied with MDG I was approved for $1500. I had purchased a flat screen TV and the add was to include a second one but they said I was not allowed the second one. They said at a later time that the amount of the other TV was taken off the original price.

I had this call too she was calling saying she represents MDG financial and she is collecting on an overdue account if I don't pay we go to court.

If you don't pay up, "Michelle" then becomes a lawyer from some FAKE Steve Walters law office harassing and demanding money!!!

I have been getting harassing phone calls from someone "claiming" to be Michelle Smit from Steven Walters Law office, I've read all over the Internet that several others have received the se threatening phone calls and state they are all a scam, I wish for this fake to stop harassing me and calling several times a day!!!

Michelle should be fired. She called and scammed me and my husband and the company had not even sent my bill to the collectors. I paid her and they will now need to get the money from her. She is a scam artist and talks like she has cotton up her nose. If she ever calls me again, she will be in court and possibly jail.

Michelle should hire her boss to represent her in court when she is sued for fraud. I know my lawyer will be calling her and put her on the chopping block. If I ever have her calling again, I will be calling the police and filing charges against this cow!!!!!!!
What kind of a person is Steven Walter for having a criminal working for him.
She should also take the cotton out for her nose so she can be understood.
