Wow, so Verizon's response to all these negative reactions to their foolish business practice of spam calling customers and "references" is to have a barely literate employee insult their customers? Can't wait until they raise the price on something minor so I can get away from this company without an ETF. Verizon has lost a customer of six years with this stupidity.

wow people. The caller is verzonwireless. Its not a scam or the government or Big Brother listening in on your phone calls. Maybe find out who it is BEFORE you make those claims

This number keeps calling me many times but never leave the message and it's different hours. It look lke scam.

Verizon Wireless number. Automated system, Just letting you know you have a past due bill for your service.

I called it back... "You've reached Verizonwireless financial services.  Please enter the pass code associated with this account."  Hmm... I don't know a numerical passcode.... so I hung up.

I am a space case though so it's a good reminder to go pay my bill.

I also got a call from this number - three times today!  Haven't answered and no message left. I never answer calls from numbers I do not know, so if they want something or a call in return they'll have to leave a message with details!

I have had 10 called from 949-286-3311 in the last week, at all hours of the day and night.  I don't answer calls if I don't recognize the niumber.  No messages left.,  Annoying to get woke up from one of them.

My bills are paid on time so it can't be just that a bill is late.

I just paid my Verizon bill by phone an hour ago and about 10 minutes I got a call on my cell from this number. They left no message. I called the number from a land line and it stated it was Verizon Financial Services.  HELLO?!?!  I JUST paid my freakin bill!!!

I also have Verizon and receive calls from this number like 3 times a month and they never leave a message.  I answered once and it was just someone breathing.  I'm sick of it.  So I tried to block it from contacting me and I get this message "This number cannot be blocked."  It's BS.  Why do they have the option to block unwanted numbers if they get to pick and choose which ones you can actually block.

It's verizon wireless.. they call if you are behind on monthly payment for your cell phone.

it is not a  "REAL" Verizon phone number.  This number has called my cell 5-6 times a day for the past week and since I don't know the number... I do not answer.
1.  Verizon is an 800 number not 949
2.  My payments are always on time
3.  If it were THAT IMPORTANT the person would leave a message
4.  Verizon sends me a text message every month to let me know my payment has been received
5.  Visit snopes.com for the 'urban legend' and you'll see that "anyone" can "claim" to be a rep from anywhere.....whether a recording or actual person.

Verizon is the idiot here. Way to build bad will towards your company through incompetent practices!

I've been getting calls from this number as well (949-286-3311).  They do not leave messages but call me 5-6 times a day.  It's really annoying.
