I started getting calls from this number from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., Pacific Standard Time.  It said they were Verizon billing and that I was behind on my bill.  The curious thing is my phone number bill is not associated with the last four numbers of my SS# which I dumbly pressed in.  I kept asking for the option to explain what and why:  last payment December 2.  Behind 2 payments plus fine.  I requested an account and my phone battery went dead.  There is no way to get "into" this auto-hassle unless you enter the last four numbers of the SS#.  I consider it harassment now. Called # on an ATT phone; reacted to no prompts;got to Verizon financial services, got id# of person, refused 4ss# (I do not pay the bill) and got to Customer Care.  THE GUY (id#51608) WAS GOOD, VERY HELPFUL AND RESOLVED THE CONFUSION.

I get this call at least 3 times a week.  When I pick it up, a male robo-voice comes on and says "I'm sorry for the delay, I'm trying to connect."  Then the call just disconnects.  I've called it back, and have also gotten Verizon Financial Services.

This is a company phone, and I keep getting calls from this phone.

Verizon wireless calling asking to call a 1-800 # regarding account...automatic voice....what the heck????????????

I do not know who this is  but yes it strange to have them keep calling me..1 (949) 286 3311. BTW verizon tells you to call *BAL for your balance.

Its Okay guys. It called me about 1 half hour after i payed my bill. It is verizon wireless. I called it back because i didnt hear it ring. it said welcome to verizon wireless please enter the last four digits of your social security number so i entered a fake one. and it said it doesnt match the phone number called from so i entered my real number and it told me that my bill had just been paid and the balance due for next month. no worries.

but the guy who seems to be a conspriacy theorist on here. hes actually right. watch what you say on your phone or on the computer words like terrorist, acetone peroxide, ak 47, osama bin laden, and NO OBAMA are very good reasons for them to wonder what in the world your talking about.

i got a call from this number yesterday at about 1:30 and again today at about the same time...both times i missed the call, but it is still pretty weird. tomorrow i will see if they call me again. hope they dont!

Pay you bill people

I received two calls from this number this morning. I answered the first but no one was on the line. I hung up. They called again, I let it go to voicemail. They left a message with an automated voice saying something like "trying to connect you" but then it hung up on me.

Number called from 949-286-3311, was Verizon Wireless automative message telling me to call 800-754-0961 and that it is not a sales call, but regarding the account.

this person called me 4 times!!! however this [***] was too damn scared too leave me a voicemail!!! hmmmm,, anyways i never called them back and so i did research cus im a smart lil [***] like that., found this website and realized we are all lil [***]

just called the number and i was directed to verizon wireless financial aid services. WTF???

this number called and claimed to be from verizon regarding my outstanding bill. They asked for my check or credit card number and wanted me to pay over the phone. When i said my bill wasnt overdue, they were convinced it was and kept demanding a payment method. It seemed a little funky so i hung up, they didnt call back and just as i thought..the number is a total scam and my bill is up to date. Dont answer this number and definitely dont give them payment info.

I just received a call from this(949-286-3311)number 6:30pm. I answered, but no one responded, but after a few seconds they called back and asked for a Shawna Mckinny?? Obviously not me. WTF?

I received a call from this number as well, but I did not answer.

I got this call 2 times durring my classes today and im kinda irritated that we dont know who it is and what the hell they are doing with our cell numbers. But i do have verizon

I got a voicemail from this number. The voicemail seemed to pick up in the middle of a sentence; all I heard was "I am trying to connect." Weird.

We are repeatedly receiving calls from this number on our landline, but have not answered. We do not have and have never had Verizon, so not sure why they would need to contact us about paying a bill. As we do not have a business relationship with them, we filed a complaint on the donotcall.gov website.

It is Verizon Wireless accounts department.
