    01922420057 Called approx 9pm 23rd Sept. Not long enough to get an answer. Expect I will get a personal call from them now that they Know my number is valid. I am signed up to Homeserve anyway!!!

    Another silent call today. I also have home_serve insurance but will cancel if I get too many many more. Agree Watchdog  may help have thought doing same for the TEXT MESSAGE FOR YOU as well.

    daily call saying they are part of severn trent. I asked them how they got my details and severn should not be giving away info, I have told them to remove me from their database but the calls continue with a 10% silent call ratio.

    This number keeps calling me and I don't know why, they never leave messages.
    As I now know this is a scam number, I will definitely not answer it.

    I did email Home-serve as I said would and amazingly they called me back to apologize. They are arranging for all contact details to be removed from sales database.

    Excellent advice D Rumble and exactly the right procedure to follow. Normally if you tell the companies you are not happy with what they are doing they will stop. They would rather that they cannot sell to one person rather than get bad press on a site such as this and lose all customers.

    I am looking after my 98 year old mother, she has answered this telephone call on a number of days and was confused by the silence, thinking she had done something wrong to break the call. I have intercepted a couple of these calls, all occuring about midday and have experienced total silence followed by a click and then a continuous tone. Now I find it was from Homeserve who we have insurance with. This is appalling business practice and I will be now taking my custom elswhere.

    Chris P, call them and tell them you would like your mothers details taken off their telephone list. As you can see from other posts it does work and they will stop calling

    These people should be hung drawn and quartered! They are making my life a living hell! I get no rest during the day and even during the night they call. I have become anorexic as a result.

    Hi there. Homeserve do not make cals after 8PM. We cannot by law. Homeserve do not call during the night or anything like that. it is not homeserves fault and you cannot try and blame that on a company.I suggest you look at some of the other threads on this website about homeserve and you will seethat there are a lot of companies that go by that name. Maybe you should find out which Homeserve it is that is calling before you start accusing people of things

    I have had frequent *missed calls* from this number - I think the operators must have auto-dialling and if the people dialled at the same time as me pick up first - I miss the call.  All I know is it is a Walsall telephone code.

    Had more of these bl##dy calls today , found this site today read all the posts and will be emailing soon sick and tired of this.
    Hate cold calling but if companies are going to do it why so frequently ? , also you dont call somebody if you arnt going to speak to them !!!
    I consider this to be rude and inconsiderate.

    i am deal with complaints if you want the calls to stop just call them on 0800 783 0951 and ask to be removed from there dialler system it will be done within 2 days

    i have a plumbing and drainage policy with homeserve and i called them out for a burst pipe in my home and true to there word the plumber was there within 2 hrs and fixed the leak at no extra cost i woul recomend them any day

    Just the same as all others, on a TPS-listed line, yet they just keep ringing.  I'd never heard of Homeserve until now.  They've rung repeatedly and one presumes they are gathering information on unoccupied property.  

    Plod might be a better option.
