i recieved tx 2day asking to call. It is C.a.r.s.
one is for debt with Virgin mobile and one is debt with Vanquis Credit card. apparently they're sending someone round to my place on Thurs, i dont know wat to do. are they genuine? or is this company a scam? i dont need more hassle than i got now, but if i ignore, wat will happen?

GET OVER IT PEOPLE, IF YOU OWE MONEY JUST PAY IT. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT C.A.R.S IS A LEGAL COMPANY NOT A SCAM LIKE SOME OF YOU ARE SAYING. WHY DONT YOU STOP BEING IDIOTS AND JUST GET ON WITH PAYING YOUR BILLS LIKE HONEST NORMAL PEOPLE.

This is a legit debt collection agency, I too got a text from them so I googled them and came up with C.A.R.S This is for an outstanding Motor Vehicle Insurance payment I have through Budget, I called them and asked why they did not send me a letter only a text message and they said they have sent a letter already but it was with Budget headed paper and not their own. Like it or not it looks like we all owe them money!!

Just received the text from and unknown saying it was David Shaw and could i contact him urgently.  Thought I would check the internet first and lo and behold here i am. i have never been with love film and i dont use tiscali either.

just had a call from a mobile number regarding my fitness first account when i answered they hung up so i dialed it back!! it was somebody from CARS and tryed billing me for a full years subscription. watch out for this number   07515585775

I just got the same David Shaw text... thought it best to jump online and check it out in case of any scams.

I have an ongoing dispute with "3", the mobile company who - I guess - love me so much, they can't accept I terminated our relationship within the trial period.

They seem to think I owe them outstanding monthly installments (that is increasing). They have sent countless "debt collection companies" after me, all of which I have satisfactorily proven that the "debt" is non-existent.

If anyone is also experiencing the similar problems with 3, please email me: wadey100@hotmail.com. I think it is time to make a stand...

i have settled my fitness first account the other day and now they are sending these ridiculous texts through this david shaw person. i would ring fitness first and resolve rather than ringing them. do they honestly think thats the way to get £££??

I also got same txt today. Again from a withheld number. When I tried to ring the number back it just cut off first time then was unanswered the second. Mine is to do with Fitness First cancelled membership so I rang them instead. Also had to pay an extra £25!!!!!!!! Not happy :-(

I am so glad I googled this number, myself. Sorry David shaw, you'll not be getting my call any time soon. Silly ppl indeed.

I also had a txt from david shaw sayin phone URGENTLY I had an account way tiscali and cancelled i owed them nothing... So guess who wont be ringin David Shaw lol

I had a text from a - asking me to call Mr David Shaw urgently.  If it was that urgent, I am sure Mr Shaw would get of his lazy behind and phone me himself. (If he exists)
I dont have dept or anything so it must me a con.  I advise people to keep details to them selfs don't be answering any data protection questions or phone possible premium type numbers from people like this.  It could be a costly mistake!

What a P#* take. Lots of creditors are reverting to underhanded tactics in order to recover debts of all sizes. This includes calling you out of "social hour", which is Monday to Friday between 9 am and 9 pm. They are not allowed to do this. One great response (if you can be bothered), is to call them and use a "soundboard". There are many on the net, such as BA Baracus, and you let the character on the soundboard talk to them. That usually gets them going a treat!

Got a text message from David Shaw, called them back and they asked me to confirm my address, told them to [***]. I'm going to find David one day and I'm going to have a nice little chat with him.
