I have had two messages left this week from these people on my mobile, how did they get this number !!!! I don't know these people and only give my mobile number to friends and family.  I understand that they may be debt collectors. As we are in a debt management plan I don't understand what they want from us as we pay one company to deal with all our debts and have done for a year without any problems.

This MacKenzie Hall Debt Collection Agency. I had a debt which came about when I left my husband and all my worldly possessions. As I had bought a suite on credit and left it behind he said he would pay for it....he never did. I was chased for the money and as it was in my name I had to pay and take it up with my ex. They have been nothing but helpful. My bank, during a financial health check, deleted the direct debit order by mistake, I hadn't noticed, and I was contacted by them some 3 months later with a stern and somewhat threatening letter (bailiffs etc.). I phoned them immediately following checking my bank statements, explained the situation and once again all sorted on a better, more affordable payment plan.

i have been getting emails of this company for a while now ....they make it sound like ive won something ...yea right so i checked it on this site and its a debt collecting agency ive read everyones comments and am now going to change my email address the numbers they have been asking me to ring are 08444115751which this site has no record of and the other is 01563 554 540 and their fax number is 0845 2801776 just incase anyone get a fax of them,and they are called Mackenzie Hall Ltd  so please be carefull

These people keep calling leaving messages for a Shelley Jones. I have had several calls from different companies asking for this person. I am sick of telling them she does not live here, they keep saying that my phone number does not match her address!!! I'm sick of these people ringing, and dont know who to call to complain.

I have emails asking me to call them with a reference bout no mention of who they are or what they want.

Constant calls from this company looking for someone who doesn't live here.  Have previously answered and advised they have the wrong (or old) number but they still keep calling.  Must get 3-5 automated voicemails left each week from them.

I have only had my existing landline number sincce 25th October 2012 (and only 4 peole know it) and since 1st November I have received abot 10 messages left on my answer machine ALL starting with MOHAMED KANKA followed by MACKEZIE HALL tried to contact you today would you please call us on 01563 554 540 to speak to an agent. They don't address their message with a person name eg: mine. I also did a 1471 only to notice that at the same time of message left the telephone number was different to the one left on answer machine ( I will check this number out before posting it here)

As I suspected 0121 371 9452 is MACKENZIE HALL. If you MACKENZIE HALL just happen to read this then just read on that this is HARRASSMENT and I will be logging all calls/messages and will seek to take action and so (hopefully) others do the same

Mohammed Kanka is who they want to speak to. After numerous messages left on my machine I eventually pressed the number and spoke to an agent. They asked to speak to the person they had Pre-fixed their message with and I told them (truthfully) that there was no one of that name on this number they rang off and haven't rung back (since July)

My husband was contacted by this scum company asking for outstanding amount of £290 for Carphone Warehouse from over 6yrs ago.  Luckily though, he had paperwork confirming that this had all been paid in full over 6yrs ago.  I think they bank on people not having kept paperwork, etc.  As a previous post has mentioned, they seem to be using old debts - perhaps this fools people into paying as they have no paperwork kept.

Debt buyer serves Mack Hall founder with court order 22 January 2013

Paul Mackenzie, the former chief executive of debt collection agency Mackenzie Hall, is being taken to court by the company that acquired his former business.

US-based Portfolio Recovery Associates (PRA) purchased Scottish firm Mackenzie Hall for a reported £33.5m in January 2012, marking its entrance into the UK market.

Mackenzie, of Strathaven in Lanarkshire, entered a long-term employment agreement with PRA but he subsequently left his position at the company in July last year.

Law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, which is acting on behalf of PRA, has served Mackenzie with a summons, which was returned to the Court of Session in Edinburgh on 15 January.

There is an action by way of a petition in the name MacKenzie Hall Holdings for orders under section one of the Administration of Justice Act.

Under this section, the court has the power to bring individuals before it who may have information in already issued civil proceedings.

A hearing date has not yet been confirmed.

Mackenzie Hall, which is based in Kilmarnock, provides outsourced and contingent debt recovery on behalf of banks, credit providers and debt purchasers, as well as distressed and dormant niche portfolio purchasing. It employs around 170 people.

They keep calling me and will not tell me why but asked for my address. I will not speak to them, is this the correct thing to do.  I am not aware why a debt collection agency should be calling me.

This is exactly what happened to me and what I told them to do just as you did. What happened in the end?

Same as above, my friend is being harassed on a brand new phone, she does not owe any money.

We'll get to them... well, WE KNOW who these scum bags and parasites are, no doubt about it.

Count Google in, DWP, ATOS, Tribunal Services, CAB, Rothschild, Rockefeller etc... one BIG family.

It's just a question of time, but THEY WILL GO DOWN. We guarantee you.

Don't send you kids to the army, they are only fighting for the above scum bags / parasites.
