I have just had yet another call from the same number, everytime I answer the phone they slam the phone down without saying a word, getting really hacked off, Burton on Trent

I am getting really fed up with this indian man calling us, saying he is from Debt Advisory,and asking if we have any debt problems. Told him not to phone again as we had no need of them. Still phoning several times a week. Now they are asking for my husband, he will not talk to them either and I tell them that, but they still call.

Just had these slags on... tried to ring them back to give them a piece of my mind for it to ring once and then say 'number does not exist'.

Sick to death of these turds, and to virgin media who fault is all is...the money grabbing, detail selling [***].

Had about ten calls from this number today, all of them silent then phone just goes dead. Like many others i've tried ringing back and it rings once then there's a female voice saying the number has not been recognised, i've also tried ringing from my mobile and the same thing happens...very strange!!! I saw a previous comment from someone saying that these calls are due to virgin media passing our details on... does anyone know if this is true? and more importantly are we getting charged for these calls?

Same as all the other comments.  Indian accent - dont give them any details, it reaks of a scam.

Tell them you have no debts!!  I think they are trying to sell a product or service to people in debt only. Beware!!

They call themselve Cyrstal Debt Adivsory, the cocky lil person argued with me, insisting I needed his help to clear unsecured loans. I told him to send me something in writing so I could check they were a government funded company which he assured me they were.  I said I didn't care I wanted something in writing.  Since then, they have called me three times.  I cannot find anything on any government website or the FSA's website.  When you call the number back it is not recognised.  I am in the process of reporting it to the police. Again, they were of Indian origan, no offence to anyone of this race at all, it's just give other people advance warning.

If I'm by the PC - I put on Status Quo loud, move phone near speaker and press answer - they don't like it. Otherwise I let the answerphone do it's job (thank heavens for caller display!)

3 times they called today......... 1st time my other half told them wrong number, second time he told them the same, 3rd time I lost it with them! Only this time he said he was calling about Market Research and not Debt Advisory like he supposedly was on Friday!

Thinking of buying the whistle as advised by others.............

At least 2 calls on different days, where the line is silent and then call is ended. The above number supplied by 1471 call.

this number just called me and says im a [***] !!!!!

They telephoned up this afternoon.  Asking for my mother (who died eight and a half years ago).  I asked whothey were and he said he was phoning on behalf of "Debt advice company".  When I asked how they got my mothers details.  He said he got the details though the 'Commercial UK Financial Market'.  I explained I was with the TPS and would be reporting this matter to them.  He hung up.

had 3/4 calls a day for the past week from the indian sounding man calling himself 'joe'. repeatedly told him that we dont want or need his services and just yesterday told him i would be contacting the police as it is harrasment but now he calls and then hangs up...4 times so far today!! im on the tps list and have made a complant with them but they dont seem very interested.When i rang the number back i too got told to check the number.
going to get a phone with caller ID tomorrow....almost scared to answer the phone!!!
might invest in a whistle as well!!!!

This number has just phoned me again for the umpteenth time. I told him I wasn't interested. He said he wasn't trying to sell me anything and that he was calling from a debt advice company - Chrystal something or other. I told him that if he phoned me once more I would report him for harassment to the telephone ombudsman & the police. He appologised & hung up.

a foreign person rang from this number, they just waffled on saying they weren't selling anything, i kept telling them i was busY and what did they want, they put the phone down

They've called me 3 times today and it's only mid-day. I rang up the TPS and they are going to approach the company with a breach of privacy order. Let's see if that works and if they stop calling.

I had two calls from this number today. I redialled but the call didn't connect. I got the message 'the number you dialled has not been recognised...' it's total twaddle and a complete waste of time.

Just had a call from this number. The 'Asian' chappy tells me he's from a Debt Advisory service (not sure coz of his accent) which can help me reduce my UK(!) debts, credit cards, etc.. I Tell him i dont have any debts, So he asks if i was looking for a Unsecured Loan!. *cheeky chappy* Lol. I tell him i dont want that because then i will be in debt and he goes on an on. I said 'Goodbye' and hung up.

*cheeky chappy*....not what we call him in our house!!! lmao. Still he has only called twice so far today!! Last time i answered with.....Hello Greater Manchester Police....  wonder if he will call again??!!
