keeps calling every day [***] prick keeps asking for a mr stuart marriott ask whos calling he hangs up or asks if i have any debts im bankrupt so i ant got any lol but when will he get the message i am not intrested. you'd think the phone company could help but they cant do nothing so best thing im going to do is change my number and really [***] him off

I have had this caller, wait for it,...10 times in 5 mins! Fortunately I have TrueCall so I zapped this caller. They have tried ringing since but my phone does not ring. TrueCall tells them NOT to phone anymore, but if they do, their call will be immediately disconnected. And true to its name, they were stopped.

Peace at last. Until the next lot of idiots start and if they do, they will be zapped as well.

For just under £100, I advise everyone to get TrueCall. Its a blessing.

Following on from what Stephen Rose has said, we have been bombarded by calls by this lot for the past 18 months, they have the name of the previous owner of the number.  We actually went through the process and got put through to a UK debt management company, they use the cold call company along with a panel of other debt management companies here and depending on what level of debt you have depends on to which company they pass you on to.  The guy I spoke to said he called the Indian company and told them to remove my number, it didn't work.  We reported all this of Offcom several months ago and they say they are investigating.  You will not get rid of the calls, even though we went through the process they are still cold calling, they are pretty thick.  We have threatened legal action but as they are non uk based not much we can do.  They have rung 3 times today, using the name Debt Management UK this is an advisory website for http://www.lewisalexander.com/about-us/contact-us, a Manchester based debt management company.  I am going to ring them to see if they use the indian company.

Wish they would p##s off!! I've got a new baby and every time they call they wake her up. Think we need to be harsher with them!!

glad it's not just me, I am polite and say no thank you but it's a pain just getting the phone and checking the number....my partner is no so polite.  I am off sick and have had numerous calls this week having told them no thanks but still they persist....and tell them I am registered with TPS...arghhhh

Number keeps calling something about outstanding debts - I do not have any debts!!!!!

its getting ridiculous now every day a random number calls and it turns out to be a damned foreigner tryin to sell me stuff or talkin bout debts

yes i have debts and yes id love to feck em all of but im not gonna deal woth a person i can hardly understand on the phone or especially a person tryin to make me do illegal things

Id rather Go bankrupt then dea\l with these prats

are we allowed to sound an alarm down the phone when we get these irritating calls or would the high pitch sound ruin our phones - could we get done for doing it?

I have Call Display so know not to answer anyway and let it go through to answerphone but would love the satisfaction to do something!! Am now registered to stop these calls coming through but it can take approx 28 days before the calls stop.

Have had this number call a few times, but when I ring it back it is engaged.....very annoying and a little unsettling!

They are calling me repeatedly, when I answer they play music down the phone and make stupid noises! They don't even speak or tell me who it is ringing!
I have rang the number back...again and again...engaged...any ideas how to stop them? Oh and I don't have a spare £100 to pay for truecall!

I've now had a total of 13 calls between the 10th & 13th Oct - no doubt I'll be getting more by the end of 2day, tomorrow, the day after etc etc etc!!

First thing to do is get Caller ID phone so you can aviod speaking to a number you dont recognise - if you dont have caller ID then do the following:
If they ask for you by name or ask for another name - then say "just one minute,I will get him/her" and leave the phone off the hook and go about your business - they will hang up after a while - they might do it again another few times - but at the end of the month when their team leaders check on stats like AHT (Average Handling Time)they will get penalised and they wont call you again !! - This bit of info I got from a friend who works in BT - Dont get that many silent/cold calls anymore !!

i have been have calls off this number for weeks now. also 0301 number. is definefiantely the same debt advice company. dont even have the correct name for me, keep calling me by my maiden name.
i have told them endless times that im not interested & to stop calling, i have had 4x calls just today. am at the end of my tether with them. actually shouted at them last week & they ended up putting the phone down on me.
rung my phone provider (sky ) they said there is nothing they can do. it is beyond a joke. something has to be done about them.

Every time you are called by 01612412080 or 0301 debt advice bureau, contact their service provider Gamma Telecommunications on 0333 240 3000 and make a complaint. Then follow up the complaint a few days later to make sure they are acting on it. If enough people do this then hopefully they'll pull the plug on these nuisance calls. This must be stopped.We are fed up with these calls as well.

As with GP above, these [expletive deleted] have been calling me numerous times a month for the last 18 months. Up until recently 1471 always indicated the number as "unavailable" (ie. overseas), but I've just been caught out today by them using a bogus Manchester number. They've used various company names, all with "debt" in the title - currently "Debt Advice Bureau"; and they always start with the same big lie, that they're "part of a government scheme". It's pointless getting angry with them or even talking to them at all as they don't care one jot about what you say; they'll take no notice at all of any request or demand to "cease and desist", so don't waste your breath.

Six months ago I decided to get a Caller Display telephone; a decent one was just 20 quid. BT offers TPS registration with caller display enabled for free, so there's just the cost of the telephone. Although I still get the calls I no longer have to bother picking up the phone and speaking to these [expletive deleted], so getting the CD service has restored some peace and I can recommend it as at least a partial solution.

Had two calls already this morning from this number - it seems to have taken over from 0301  

They never ask for anybody who actually lives here so their contact lists must be pretty old.

Totally p****d off with the calls which keep on despite my being ex-directory and signed up to TPS, not to mention yelling at them every time!

There must be SOME way of stopping them, maybe we should all write to Gordon Brown!
