This number keeps calling asking for a Peter Jeffries - I keep telling them he is not on this number anymore and that I buy this number from Virgin and to stop calling but they keep calling something about Debt and it's always a Foreigner

Indian man phoned saying the same things as listed here, Goverment scheme to help with debt management, I tried to explain to him I wasnt interested have not been well as was trying to nap , He persisted for 10 minutes untill I finnaly hung up, only to have him call me back and me ignoring the calls, He is currently on his 25th call to my number in 20 minutes. I am LIVID!!!

Have been called over 30 times by this number.Decided enough was enough and  told them id be taking them to Trading standards if this harrasment continued.

Notably the 'Debt Advice Bureau' arent the people calling.They are infact trying to make a case against these people at the moment.

Very very very very annoying! They call constantly even when you tell them that you don't have any debt. I've tried being extremely rude to them....Guess they are very thick skinned.

I have been getting the calls form this number quite a lot, my phone registered the missed call and displayed the number, I answered it before and the guy sounded indian on the phone and said he called regarding debt advice service, I told him I wasnt interested and please remove my number from their database. He called again two days afterthat, I asked him why he didnt remove me from their database as I requested before, he said I was mistaken as this is the first time he called, which is untrue and annoying and five minutes ago he called again but I have not answered when I saw the number on the display.

This number is forever ringing me some...indian, just moments ago I resulted to swaring down the handset... I'm at my wits end.

Rang twice today depsite being unlisted. Indian guy asked for me so I told him I'd never heard of Mrs Scott and that they'd got the wrong number. Have now call blocked them using 14258

Called 8 times over the last few days from 10 am to 8 pm told them each time I have no debt and asked to be removed from their data base. What a pain as I am a night shift worker. These people need to be stopped.

Just taken a call from this number and a heavily accented Indian male.  He asked for someone who no longer owns my telephone number.  Have had many calls from this chap over the last 2 years and always ask for these details to be taken off his contact list.  He claims the company is called "Debt Advice Bureau" and are based in "Leicester" but will give no more details than that.  

As with other reports here have also registered with TPS but this company seem to slip through this net.  They drive me insane!

I am on the Telephone Preference Serivce. A person called my number asking for someone and I explained that I was on the TPS. I was ignored and the person persisted. In the end I had to ring off. I have put in a complaint to the TPS.The caller said they wer "DAB" when I insisted on being told who was calling.

This number called yet again today! Even after yesterday when I told them id be taking them to trading standards.Getting ridiculous now!

I get from this number on a regular basis, If you have a business registered with Yell.com, or any other on line Business Indexes etc: then this is how this low life get's your number.

I check my website for traffic a couple of times a day and guess what? yes I get a hit via Google, yell.com etc from india; then I get the phone call!

This is just a scam [***] from India trying get your banking details!

This number has called me twice today - first time I did not even botehr to pick the phone up - second time I picked the phone up but did not answer it - I could hear a voice saying "Hello" - eventually they hung up - I just hope they have taken the hint?

It's pointless trying to call these numbers back they will be incoming calls barred which is why when you do try you either get the engaged signal or the recording saying "number not recognised".  I too have answered and said "just a minute" while I 'go get' whoever they want [always its the name of the person who used to rent this line].  It works for a short while but the calls return.  Neither is it any good reporting to your phone provider/Ofcom/TPS Uncle Tom Cobley or Gordon Brown for that matter the calls come from overseas and BT for one won't entertain the idea of tracing them - too much dosh.  Gamma will be receiving revenue from these call centres and call me cynical in my old age but don't think they'll be interested either.  And if they ever did pull the plug, these scum will simply upsticks with their database to someone else.
I now ignore them - I've caller display - 0301, 01612412080 and another new number 08001585655 which is a recording apparently about debt surprise surprise.  As Stephen Rose once commented you now need security software not just for your computer but also for your phone

I asked for my phone number to be removed from their database three times. Twice he spoke over me, the third time it seemed to sink in.

I haven't heard from them since.

This number just called my house. My 16 year old answered. The person asked for my husband by name to which my daughter responded that he was not at home. He then proceeded to ask her how old she was and what her name was before she hung up the phone. Needless to see, my daughter is quite distraught by the fact that a complete stranger wanted to know personal details about her. They didn't even leave any contact details, ie, company name, person to contact, etc. This person should not be allowed to do this!!!

HAve had 6 calls from this number in 2 days - let the answer phone take the call but no message left.  Very irritating!

This number called twice but when I tried to call back it was either engaged or rang incessantly before being ccut off. Who is it? Would like to tell them what I think of their intrusion!
