- Anne Fedele replies to Class ActionI have seen your message on the whocallsme and I am interested in a class action againt Dotcom Chrome
I am based in Scotland, they called me in January 2009 and I naively believed their sales pitch. TO my regret as they have done nothing they said they will do . I cancelled my credit card to stop the erratic payment and now I have received abusive email with no postal address , just a website www.chrome-media.eu asking for money....When I called the number I was put through a very rude man who told me that " I enjoy taking little people like you to court", he threatened me with that saying the they would start a negative campaign against my company and prepare a full case, and that everytime a search for my company was made the result would come with negative comments....
Really bad company . They should not be allowed to con anymore people. - Mel replies to DOTCOM CHROMEYour company is a scam, plain and simple. Liars and thieves.
- Britestyle| 4 repliesDOTCOM CHROME ARE CROOKS pure and simple. DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY. If you have already given them your card payment details, STOP THAT CARD AT ONCE. Do not bother phoning Dotcom Chrome and ask to cancel or put on pause because they will carry on TAKING MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT and not just one payment but MULTIPLE WITHDRAWALS. The best place for these crooks is PRISON, the sooner the better.
- Rico replies to aja| 4 repliesHi there - i also have a call from the dotcom chrome agents - made the mistake to go ahead in Sept 2009 & gave them my keywords. I paid with my own credit card and wanted a refund from the company (I am the marketer) The company requested an invoice for the refund so I tried more than once to get an invoice out of them. I emailed them (accounts@dotcomchrome.co.uk) and asked them to remove us from the system as we could not afford to carry on. I just receive an email from the chrome-media office ( Dec 2010??) to say i owe them money as i never resigned - they say if i wish to cancel it must be done 3 days in writting a letter to the Manchester office and 30 days notice in writting a letter in the months thereafter??? They expect me to pay for the legal cost? I have noticed that you went the legal route, please inform me of the outcome.
- Cydne replies to Britestyle| 3 repliesI have cancelled my credit card December 2009 - they are still arrasing me for money (Dec 2010!!!) and want to take legal routes?
- aja replies to Rico| 3 repliesHi Rico
To cut a long story short, if you didnt send a letter in the post giving 3 working days notice to cancel in month 1 or 30 days notice in any of the latter months then im afraid, their contract which in my opinion is totally unfair, biased and one sided!!!!!!!!!!!! Means that they win the case! This basically means that these shisters could delete all email requests to cancel services and then 6 months later slap you with a 6 month bill and get away with it! The legal system in this country is a joke! They use Pannones as their solicitors, a pricey bunch so the only satisfaction I gained from not actually winning the case is that in loosing they are not able to recover their solicitors fees ( small claims court) which no doubt wouldnt have been cheap, so their bull about you paying their legal fees isnt true ( other than court fees, application fees, interest etc) but soliciotors fees they cannot claim back! - Charlie replies to aja| 2 repliesPlease don't listen to Rico, he obviously works for dot com chrome, this is their style, they're just trying to scare you with their games. Don't let them win. Cancellation by email stands up in court as you will have on your computer the emails that you sent, even if they delete theirs, they speak utter nonsense.
- Charlie replies to CharlieSorry Rico - I meant don't listen to Aja
- aja replies to CharlieCharlie, have you been to court and won? If so then can we personal message each other somehow? Did you use a solicitor in order to obtain judgement? How much was yoru case worth? Did you manage to recover any out of pocket expenses at all? I do NOT work for these cowboys! I have advised of my own experience! together with 5 other people who have tried to fight this in court and lost ont he same grounds as me! I was played the verbal recording where I agreed to send a letter ( I forgot to send one but did send an email which they ignored!) and they also proved that they issued written terms aswell which also stated no emaisl to cancel due to firewalls and spam filters) it was on these grounds that I lost the case and was issued an order to pay monies owed ! If you know of a way aroudn this and have been siuccessful then please let me know! I did have copies of emails I had sent to cancel but since my contract stated i coudl not email to cancel it only seemed to help their case against me!
- PatrickThese guys are really full of it . They phoned my in Sept 09 & I agreed to the sales pitch . I was weary ,but thought I would try them & see .Guess what …. nothing happened & a waste of money . Fortunately I only signed for a trial or so I believed, so I emailed them get some information or at the very least , a copy of their terms .Nothing, just abusive email correspondence from Jamie McDougall.
At that point I realised that these people were nothing but a Scam .
Then 12 months later a payment appeared on my credit card. I immediately tried to contact these people & got nothing but abuse & threats from Jamie McDougall…. again ! Upshot of it all , I cancelled card ,lodged a dispute & sent another cancelation letter in writing via registered post,to their bogus office in Sydney.
I simply don't have time to deal with a man with a small dick , as this clown Jamie Mc Dougall has .
This was about 6 months ago & now my wife received a call at 11 pm threatening legal action if the original bogus auto payment is not paid !
DO NOT have anything to do with these people. If you have been sucked in , call your credit card company & cancel your card. Send the cancellation letter via registered post as requested & keep a copy of all email & or phone calls .If any one has any information regarding a class action , I would be happy to supply details , as I have lodged a complaint with both Sale Police & UK consumer regulators .

- NuggetSA replies to spencer wrightI very much doubt this i genuine. Most contracts are effected by email these days, and often simply over the phone, and are just as binding as properly formed, solicotor worded hard copies (just less formal and sometimes harder to prove, eg 'he said, she said'). It is much more likely that this has been inserted by Dot Con whatever in an attempt to undermine us honest folk who get caught up in the Dot Con scam. Yes a winding up order can be made but you can be sure that certain processes must be gone through to get it including exhausting all attempts to get payment of a proven legitimate debt, which implies getting a Court Judgement to order the debt to be paid. The more I think about it the more I smell the odour of dot Con on 'spencer wright'. I challenge Mr Wright to provide the details of the Court and judgement number.
- wouldn't give you a dime! replies to Customer SupportAnd this is the language that you choose to use to speak to clients???
Just shows what a moron you are...
No "professional" company would even get involved in the tirade of utter foul language and contempt (which you have bred i might add) with your obvious bragging of happily scamming people!
Good job i checked this site before I even considered parting with a penny for your obvious useless and inutile services!
From what I have seen on this thread, "Jamie" sounds like he is just a fly by night, with fake offices in toronto and wall st to give the company a more proffesional look.
However the actions of this md on this site and others are beyond forgivable.
Glad I did my research

- Info from googles own page replies to GoogleWell, I think we can all see that the chap replying to my post is illiterate and can't spell for toffee.. I personally wouldn't do business with someone that doesn't even have a good grasp of the English language, or how to use it correctly. And as for the actual response... "Go and shave your Mum's pubes?" I think that says it all about the professionalism of this company... Should have grown up and left the playground by now silly boy!!
No doubt this post will be met with a tirade of un-educated responses from this chap advising me to go and commit deviant sexual acts upon members of my family... It's such a shame that's all your I.Q will allow you to do.. you should really try to rise above such notions and paint yourself in a better light!
Also, any Managing Director of any professional company, wouldn't even allow himself to be dragged into the verbal slanging matches over the internet or any other means. It doesn't bode well for your reputation , which to be honest... is not looking good anyway is it? - Jimmy Choo| 1 reply

- VICTORYWe had all the same dealings as all of the above. But we had the last say and blocked our cards and got all of our money back from our bank. We also suceeded in other ways which I will not specify, but guaranteed we have had the last laugh. So please persist everyone and do not give in to their abuse and threats, as they are exactly that, threats. Especialy if you are in another country. Just ignore these small minded boring little boys and soon enough they willl be out of business and on the bones of their [***], lining up with all the other school boys in th unemployment queues. Or renaming and reinveting their company because of all the bad reviews like these that they get. So up yours Alex and Jamie VICTORY VICTORY VICTORY TO US........

- TonyI was called by an aggressive salesman who caught me off guard and got me to pay for the first month. I was told I would be contacted before the 2nd month and have a chance to lower the number of phrases (as the 5 minimum for the introduction of the program was too much. I was never contacted by the staff at Dot Chrome. After 2 months, they double charged me causing my account to go negative. The bank finally closed my account due to suspected fraud. I wrote an angry email and had not heard from them since early september. Now, 4 months later and long after services have been stopped, they have been calling and calling asking for my account to be brought out of arrears. They stopped "optimizing" for my company 5 months ago, but expect me to pay for the last five months plus interest. No service = No payment. I should have looked at the posts about the company before I accepted the pushy sales persons offer.
