Hmm thats strange I am from Hull and I got a phone call from Harlequin Marketing for an interview after been on jobsite. It was a normal phone call. I get there and they are listneing to hip hop music very unprofessinal It sounds exactly like this other marketing company should i be weary?

I went along to London Marketing Service, went to the interview and the second interview and STUPIDLY accepted the job!
I wish I had done my research beforehand because it's exactly like everyone says it is!
Would start at half 7 and don't finish till 6....6 days a week....no money!!
Would never ever ever do this again, it's terrible and I hope that people won't make the same mistake I did. Stayed with them for a week.....that was like a lifetime!!! SCAM!!!!!

I'm sure this is an employee of Aspire responding to all the bad comments by posters here. After finding out the MD of the firm is Nigerian, I'm not coming to my interview for them either! I'm not racist, some of my best friends are.... Nigerian, lol

It's just that the negative information on Companies House and the fact they've never made a profit sends alarm bells. I'm sure the money's being funnelled out to Lagos, or worst case scenario, Deptford, to the MD's pockets. I hate being cold-called, so the idea of cold-calling businesses and individuals sends a shiver down my spine.

To quote BIG MO, I won't be A BUM ALL MY LIFE in a proper job. This is a pyramid scheme, they'll disappear when they've made enough cash, then reappear under a different name. This [***]'s been happening for years. I went to a similar interview years ago, it was selling perfume in Croydon out of a suitcase like Del Boy.

Have been invited to the interview today but decided to Google first thanks for your comments, now I definitely won't go. Have been to one similar interview not long time ago Co. called Marketing Endeavours.. The interview lasted 5 mins also they didn't even interviewed me along there was another guy, she said that it was a second interview, the first was by the telephone, we didn’t even realise that..After 5 mins her talking about nothing, she said that they will give us a call if we have been successful, after an hour i received a call they invited me to the second interview but I didn’t go as realised it was rubbish.

Lady on the phone sounded convincing saying her manager was impressed by my CV which shocked me, she said she'll send me details about the interview via mail.

I checked the website and looked so stupid, fake and unprofessional! But I never took it seriously, but the interview as been on my mind since. I'm meant to be going to sleep for tomorrow until I found some blog about this on google and proved to me it's fake!


The company is not a scam but they just trick you into working labour for them. You work so much and get nothing or so little. Scam is when they take advantage of you or everything and you end up with worst nothing! But this people ain't.

I actually did the whole 3 day process of this lol. It was terrible, i have never been so bored in my life, luckily my sister told me about these companies, so i returned to college on the monday.

After wating my time, fuel and money today I thought tjhat I would research who this dodgy company was, which I thought was actually Arcadia (never heard of Arcedia Direct until today). I am so happy that I walked out of the interview without even wanting to hear any more... I see these poor people being dropped off in groups at housing estates and even though I feel sorry for then, I would never give them any money, or open the door.

Here's abit of info on this company again. Did find it strange that they replied so quickly when I applied for it via reed.co.uk. Have just graduated, so was looking 4ward to this. However reading it did find it strange that they'd been "unable to contact me" as on that friday 2 weeks ago i'd been at home all day and the phone had rung once...so it's complete [***] really.

Do know companies like this exist and just move around the country under one big massive branch of monopolised t**ts. Was going to go for my interview b4 doing a quick search on google for more info on the company, as when i've gone for interviews in the past (or looking at companies) I always do abit of research. Don't know why I forgot to do this when i applied for it on reed.co.uk, but just forgot.

Anyway their website's crap, and it's ironic that there are no staff profiles or any pictures of what their offices are like, etc.

One thing that ppl should add is that this Frankie Stevens has a strong Australian accent...now as much as I like australian ppl, she's obviously a 'Sheila' to avoid like the plague. So avoid UNIK or anything to do with ASPIRE from now on.

I also was offered an interview with Arcedia direct, even though I was told Arcadia direct, thinking it was  the brand behind topshop etc. Applied in the morning through reed and an hour later, I was offered an interview, bit odd I thought but decided to check it out anyway. Arrived at the interview with about 8 other people, being called in, in pairs. During the interview all this rubbish was mentioned about how easy the job was, the promotions, the pay, lad type holidays, which really put me off because I knew it was a load of rubbish and by a bunch of chavs. Then at the end got asked for a second interview without me agreeing, then out of interest searched google and found this and told them where to go.

Also, before I'm accused of being lazy, I have worked my backside off the past years, working 40 hours weeks and fitting in uni work. In addition it would interesting what the Arcadia group would of this.
