called 1701h 13/6/12  When I answered the line goes dead.

Asian man saying your computer has wirus which causes the system to crash told him I had an iPad (true) and an apple computer(lie) neither ran windows
Told him it was a scam and that it was I the Internet but he carried on
In the end he gave up and rang off feeling very satisfied with myself for causing bother

got 2 calls today from a foreign lady sayin same thing ime in the stoke area

I was called twice today by this number by an Asian man. The first time I hung up after he said he was from PC world and wanted to talk to me about a security issue with my PC. He called again so I decided to waste his time; i.e. I kept asking him to repeat his spiel until he got fed up. I then told him that I didn't have a computer and didn't like them, he finally got the message!

Just had this number call me. He started on about Government grants for insulation. Why do they bother ?

Nuts kept me on the phone trying to sell a warranty...too crazy! hung up on me when I refused to follow their instructions. Garbage told me hacker were trying to get in my computer! SELL SELL SELL

Call received at 08.50am 22/6/12 I did not recognise caller ID so I let it go to answer phone. They immediately hung up.  Having read that this may be the classic "rogue computer doctor" I may well engage them in some banter next time- I enjoy pretending to be interested for a few minutes, knowing that I am wasting their time, and preventing them from calling some unsuspecting person!

4 calls in last 40 minutes from this number.  'Warren Smith' has rung me 3 times and 'Patrick' has rung me once (ha, ha - clearly Indians) reporting a virus on my computer or to be from a computer service centre.  Each occasion I told them they are clearly try to scam or phish and not to ring again and that I will be reporting them to the Information Commissioner.  Just curious to see how many times they will keep ringing.  I can keep this up all day.  Bring it on!!!

They rang again 10 minutes later.  This time it was 'David Brown' from the 'Technical Department of Microsoft Windows'.  All details now passed to the Information Commissioner.

22-06-12 Just hung up on a bogus call from 02538020308 ref to my home PC.
Very bad line, could not really understand what they were on about.
It seems they telling me that my PC software has sort of issue with whatever, asking where they got my phone number he replied my I.P. address, then it dropped, told them to go away and hung up!

Just got a call from an Asian guy by the name of David saying he works for Windows Support saying i have downloaded malicious viruses to my PC ! knowing it was a hoax call i told him that i several devices and asked him what ip address he had as reporting an error. he promptly hung up on me!
Long story short never ever ever give info about your PC to anyone over the phone.

Asian guy keeps calling - won't take no for an answer!

Had a call from this number just now - Indian accent, lady - asking to speak to the 'property or loan holder' at this address (had to get her to repeat it 3 times to understand), so as she said 'Yes' I told her I was on the Telephone Preference Service and she was breaking the law by calling me. She thanked me and put the phone down - this was the number.
Seriously - register with TPS (or the Mailing Preference Service to avoid junk mail) - and the professional companies calling you should have done a cross-check. You should not be cold called again, thx, hope it's helpful, P

total scammers, talk to them for 20 mins if you want to run up their bill then hang up, if not just hang up. never give them any real information.

keep getting this call but no one on the other end speaks, getting really really annoying now. Any way to stop this?

Had a call just now from a loud chap from India offering to help me fix my computer because I had downloaded a virus. I told him I didn't think that was correct but decided to string him along. He patiently helped my try to find my Windows key but hard as I tried I couldn't find it. I kept him on the phone for about 10mins before he asked what kind of computer I had. When I told him it was a Mac he told me I was a loser and hung up! Charming.

I just had a similar call to this from an Asian guy. He knew my name and told me who he was calling from - I genuinely couldn't understand him so asked him to confirm.  After the 4th time of asking I finally figured it out, it was the 'British Saver Survey'.

Having received lots of scam calls last year from Asian sounding prats saying they were from Microsoft and that they'd detected viruses on my computer, I realised this was another 'genius' plan from those half-wits so I said I don't want to talk to you to which he replied 'b*****d', I said sorry? to which he replied again 'b*****d and put the phone down.  What a charmer, I must invite him and his friends round to dinner next time he calls.

You'd think these people would get fed up with this but then they're probably a bit too stupid.

Its happining again SCAM

the date is 9th july 2012. i have had phone calls over the last few months where no one speaks. getting very frustrated now and wish these people wud just give up. we all know it is a scam. today i have had 2 fone calls. one withheld number and now this number.  other numbers i have accumulated over the last few months where someone claims they r from a computer firm and have actually spoke to me are 01234 765093. and 02071935532. these r also scams too. asian gentleman who got very aggresive when i challenged him and told him to stop ringing. why cant something be dun to stop these people wasting our time
