Had a similar call from number 07049205419. It sounded like a distressed child saying 'hello, hello, can you hear me?'. As I have 3 kids and friends who often call from random numbers I was concerned. Not checking the web first I called back but the number was dead from a landline and blocked from my mobile - maybe the networks are stepping in?

Call from 07049 210658 which cut off after 3 rings

Last couple of days ha calls from the following numbers: they either hang up or "Can you hear me....."

Have just had one of these calls, from 07049 205374, but as one of the others above said, it sounded like a distressed child, "hallo (several times), can you here me", all on a crackly line. Luckily I know this site and came straight here, instead of thinking of calling back. What a great service this site provides, unlike Ofcom, BT, and phonepayplus. If they wanted to, they could stop this scam. Grrrr!!!

Had a call from 07049 210642 today but hung up as soon as I answered.

call from 07049 205704 saying hello, hello, it's me, repeatedly and then got cut off. Did 1471 and rang back wish I had read the comments here first!

Who is this and can anything be done to prevent them?

Got a call from 07049205955. Rang once (woke me up!) and then nothing. I did try to ring it back but got unobtainable sound?

30 minutes ago 07049 210216, when I googled the full  number, I go t2 results of a web site in Italy which tracks phone numbers

My wife just had a call from 07049205579, sounded like a noisy line and someone saying "can you hear me" several times before the line went dead. Thinking it was a mobile number she called back and was answered immediatly with a message saying "Service not currently available, please hold", thankfully she quessed it might be a scam and hung up.

Have had two calls, exactly the same both times - woman's voice, London accent, she says 'Hello? Hello, can you hear me now?'  and sounds mildly irritated. Doesn't hear me, sounds like a recording.
Number from 1471 is: 07049 205 231

Just had a call from this number 07049210102 ... similar stories to above - young female voice saying 'hello ... hello ... can you hear me' then the line goes dead - sounded odd so did 1471 - didn't return the call as I didn't recognise the number.

but the scaming R-soles got the rath of my true call unit and basic basically told them to F*** *ff and not to call again, SUCKERS

Just had a call same as all the others - mans voice asking if I could hear him and then going dead. Number was 07049 204640. Fortunately I googled this page instead of ringing him back! so beware anyone who gets a call from this number!

Just received a call from some guy, said hello, hello, can you hear me? (it appeared to be a bad line) then the line went dead, I decided to look on here to see if the number came up, it does not, but the call content seems to be about the same as others that have been rippid off for a large than average call charge, the number that called me was: 07049206889, be ware!.
