Report a phone call from 08000191773 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ercarrgg line went dead when i picked up ....so annoying is there any way to stop them from calling???
- WestwoodI've just had this for the first time, and I've had the same number for the last 5 years and it is both ex-directory and on the TPS register so I have no idea where they got it from. I called back and a recorded message said they were from Stella UK and told me to call 0845 130 7252 if I wanted to be removed from their list
- WestwoodI have just investigated this a little more and found that it is in fact Stellar UK (01294 225 300), I called them up and they informed me that it was their automated system and they believe that it was part of their MNBA campaign that I was being called about, even though I do not have an MNBA credit card.
- Caller: Stellar UK
- HopefulCalled this number 01294 225 300 obtained from http://www.stellarcallcentres.com.au/locations
spoke to an apparently helpful woman who told me they work mainly for MBNA, also for Lloyds, Eon and a couple of other compoanies. I complained about the calls, she apologised and said she would remove my details from their system- Caller: Stellar UK
- LizI had a call from this number today but my 2 year old granddaughter answered because she thought it was her Mummy. She answered it with 'Hello Mummy' then when she realised it wasn't Mummy she just put the phone down. Think I'll get her to answer all my calls!
- cazi just had a call from this number appearently alliance and leicester, they were trying to offer me a credit card- though the bloke just kept mummberling-so i just ignored him. i also was with bt and went to talk talk, and since have had tons of cold calling

- markyThis company has been persistantly calling me, 2-3 times per day, allways silence when I pick up the phone. When I called the number I got a message saying it was from Stella UK. The number they give out to get off the calling list does not work!
- Caller: Stella UK
- HI had a missed call on my mobile from this number... from all the comments on here I'm glad I didnt answer it... think its another one to be saved in the phonebook as "DO NOT ANSWER" ... up to now that has been reserved for ex girlfriends haha!!!

- Ritesh Mistryi keep getting this number once everyday. i get it about 1.20 pm
- sweetietoddhad call today, went to our answerphone screening and went dead.
- would like to remain anonymousJust had a call from this number - the guy said he was calling from MBNA about a credit card I'd just started (which I had). He asked me for the first letter of my mother's maiden name and my date of birth, claiming it was so he could confirm that he's speaking to the right person. Stupidly I answered his questions. Then he started to ask me some more - am I in a permanent job, etc.
I said, "Why are you asking me these questions?"
He replied, "I'm just asking."
I said, "yes, but why?"
and he hung up.
HE HUNG UP?! WHAT?! WHO DOES THAT?
"I'm just asking" ?????????? what kind of a response is that? Who are these people that now have my date of birth and first letter of my mother's maiden name?
I 1471'd it to get the number, and it came back with the number above. I called it. Apparently it's a company called "Stella UK" who (surprise surprise) didn't want to speak to me. Just went straight through to recorded message.
Does anyone know anything about "Stella UK"? - woud like to remain anonymousFollowing my post above, I did a bit of research. The name of the company is "Stellar" - they outsource call centre solutions to a variety of companies.

I rang the number and spoke to someone to complain, and got put through to the manager. I gave her the name of the guy who spoke to me, and she apologised, said she would speak to him, and offered to take my number off the list. Quite apart from anything else, I'm relieved to find out that the company aren't fraudsters and appear to be genuinely working on behalf of MBNA.
I recommend anyone who has been troubled by this company to call the number above, complain and ask to be taken off their list.
Fight the power. :-)- Caller: Stellar UK
- Trace TI have had daily calls from this number only to answer it and find they are from my energy company trying to sell me Central Heating cover.
- Caller: Eon
- Miss WilliamsI keep getting this number call my house phone and I have no idea who it is, they know my name which is very annoying and they seem to be calling every single day! Its getting very frustrating now, they are calling from up to 3 times a day!
- Bovvered4 calls from them, twice the phone just went dead, once I missed the call, today I had a call from them and just said "Take me off your list, I don't want what you're offering!" and hung up! They're having a laugh if they think I'm going to ring an 0845 number to stop the calls - what I've done instead is save the number in my mobile as A*se so I know not to answer it!
Never had any dealings with MBNA though (had a mailshot once but ripped it up) so don't know how they got my number!- Caller: Stellar
- JCOh crap! I've just had my application accepted for a virgin/mbna credit card.
Now I've just had my first silent call from this number. I hope its not a sign of things to come.
I'm ex-dir & TPS registered. - ClaireMy husband has just been accepted for a Virgin Credit card and we've had 3 calls from this number in the past few days. I believe the phone goes dead because it is computers dialling the numbers and when someone answers it cuts off the other calls so the operator can annoy the person unlucky enough to have picked up their phone.
Will keep a track of when these people are ringing and phone and ask to be removed if it gets annoying, however thanks to everyone here I now know to just let the phone ring n ring - EMMJJAYSick and tired of getting calls from this number, I struggle to get to the phone and then the parts hang up, have now resorted to leaving the answer phone on I am also registered with TPS seems to make no difference.

- NickI too have received calls from 08000191773 on several occasions over the past week, the final straw was tonight just after I had gotten my 3 year old son to bed. I researched the number and found this website. Don't bother ringing it back as all you get is an automated message from Stellar UK telling you to ring 0845 1307252 in order to stop the calls (which is also a waste of time). Following the advice from a person on this website, I phoned Stellar UK directly on 01294 225300 and spoke to a very helpful and apologetic lady who removed my number from their system. Apparently they work on behalf of several banks/credit card companies and try to offer products and services to new customers. I applied for a Virgin credit card (part of MBNA) last week, which may explain it as I did not receive nuisance calls prior to this. Hope this helps others.
