This number called today - claimed I had sent an email earlier in February.  The woman was suitably vague - she gave the date and time of the e-mail (I knew I had not sent one but I checked to make sure).  She would not give me any other information, just some vague reference to it being about my address - UNTIL I answered her security questions.  Obviously I refused to do so and asked her to put her questions to me in writing.  End of call. This is definitely a scam call - DO NOT give out any security details.  Do not believe those above who claim the call is genuine - they probably work for the scammers!

then when they wanted the postcode i said no - who on earth are they and what are they after ?

This is the number Santander use to call me whilst arranging my mortgage. It is genuine as I speak to the same person when I call back the main number

I just had this number contact me claiming to be from Santander. I refused to go through the security checks and called Santander on a genuine number. I was told by a Santander employee that This is not a genuine Santander number and was informed that when Santander contact customers by phone it is an automated call when there is a card payment block or if you have made a complaint and requested a call back. Do not give any information to this number!

I received a call on two occasions today from this number.

The gentleman stated he was from Santander and asked for security information.

I refused to provide any information to him.

The gentleman then provided two numbers on which I could contact him, both of which did not bring up Santander with a Google search.

He finally suggested that I contact Santander customer service and asked to be forwarded to one of two extensions.

Later I called Santander directory, they did not know what the extension numbers were, and informed me that there was no reason that I would need to be contacted from their side.

Do not trust the people who have called from this number.

Just keep getting a call from this number 0800 389 0755 saying to me its santander but i dont bank with them and they was trying to get me to gave all my details so be careful guys its a BIG FAT SCAM

they keep calling at all hours of the day 7 days a week...how can I stop these calls????

I am having 10 calls a day even on a Sunday and I am a night worker

I've had 4 calls from this number in the past 10 minutes but there's no-one there, just intermittent beeps (not a fax machine)

Had a missed call from this number whilst out today but typically no message left on my answerphone which ALWAYS makes me suspicious . Some of you are saying its the abbey national so thanks for that info , yet nobody at this address even has an account or any connection with abbey national , but some of your are also saying its a scam of some sort which im kinda more likely to accept only yesterday we had 2 calls from 2 different numbers and coming on here and entering both , THAT turned out to be bogus santander calls . So are we now to add dodgy banking calls to our long list of annoyances we'd rather not receive

Definitely Santander UK plc 301 St Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5NT. If your mobile is registered with them for OTP codes on your bank account, they will call your mobile to resolve queries.

Old Shiney, My wife had a call from this number and her phone is NOT registered with Santander, mine is, all OTP codes and query calls come to my number, so this IS a scam number do not give them any information, just hand up

Rung twice on mobile then later on home phone. Any idea who it is?

This number has been ringing our house up to 5 times daily between 8:30am and 9pm since 6/7/14 and I have actually picked up twice but nobodys there and 1min later if I pick the phone up the lines still open so had to disconnect from the wall socket to cut the line off. Today I picked up after the 3rd call ready to tell mr or mrs silent to stop ringing or I'd report them to ofcom but surprise surprise somebody ACTUALLY spoke . Now some of you are saying this number is abbey and some say santander - our caller said he was santander calling to speak to my brother about his bank account . Now one number cant be attached to two different banks if you think about it logically which leads me to suspect scam call to try to obtain bank details so if I was any of you I wouldn't trust this number infact do what I just did and report it .
