Report a phone call from 08009886018 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- James BlickGot 2 calls from this number and they stated they are a claims management company. Presumably an Agency overseas who cold call for different organisations? Certainly nothing to do with Talk Talk.
- a notheri got this just today 25/03/11.
I answered and they said they were calling from 'Claims Advisory Group', which is this co here:
http://www.claimsadvisorygroup.co.uk/
just a load of nonsense and time wasting.
i put the phone down.- Caller: claims advisory group
- Call type: Telemarketer

When I've called back I've got a recorded message saying repeatedly that my call will be answered as soon as possible, female British accent, no pauses or ringing tone or hold music.
- Caller: No idea
- Chris SpencerGot a call from this number...returned the call and it went through to Claims Advisory Group...so wouldnt bother answering it again!

- PollyHi
I had about 10 missed calls from this number finally I called them back and they were trying to say that my bank could have unnecessarily sold me payment protection and that if I completed a form I could claim this back. I dont recall ever having bought payment protection and when they asked for my post code to send a form to I said I wanted to look into this further and I'll get back to them. Thecaller sounded fairly aggressive.
I assume it was a scam.- Call type: Telemarketer
- BadvocThey called me just now. They are the 'Claims Advisory Group' trying to 'give me back money owed to me from falsely sold insurance on my bank loans' but apparently Talk Talk have also used this number for selling. They phoned my mobile number so I asked how they got it as I don't give it out as a rule.
They said they got the number from the Baines and Ernst debtors database. Presumably whenever someone takes out a loan B&E are collecting data from lenders and selling the list to companies like Claims Advisory Group. The only place B&E could have got the number is from Lloyds Bank who are the only company I've borrowed anything from that has a mobile number for me, and it's interesting how since I changed to Natwest I get hardly any of these type of calls (my current bank doesn't even have my home number).
I was asked to 'confirm' my address and email so they could send me a 'pack'. I said if they already had my address they didn't need the email and asked why they had me on their database given that I was registered with the TPS. Despite being informed of that, the girl on the phone still kept pushing for me to give an email. I told her I wasn't going to give it out and she started asking for my home address again (so they had the mobile number and my name but nothing else). The girl was clearly getting frustrated that i wasn't responding the way she had been trained to expect and, after about another minute of trying to get me to give out information and me saying I wasn't going to tell her as she could be a scammer calling from the pub down the road for all I knew, she gave up and put the phone down.- Caller: Claims Advisory Group
- Call type: Telemarketer
- kerrythey called me today knowing my name and said they are from a company looking to help customers who have had loans from banks and may be due for compensation due to illegal payment protection from the banks.
- GinnyWed 30 Mar - 3:21 PM
So now they're not Talk Talk, they said it was from Claims Advisory. I couldn't even understand what the woman was saying (sounded British) so I did confirmed my full name (where did they get it from?) and then I just said I had no idea what she was on about. She just hung up.
I confirmed my name because I had just spoken to some guys from Directgov... who are not supposed to pass on your details to anyone else. Just a coincidence I guess.
The trick is, apparently, you call them back to find out what's going on and it's a premium number that costs a fortune per minute. Don't call them back!!! And don't confirm your name, just keep saying "Who's calling please?"- Caller: Claims Advisory Group
- NuisancecallsHaterpretty much the same as the other posts and annoying too!
- MarekI have had loads of missed call from this number last few days. Trying to ingnore them. And reading the other comments its not worth it to even speak to the guys from wherever they are....
- Caller: Claims Advisory Group
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JerryI have just called this number back after getting 3 calls from them where they hang up as soon as you answer. it would appear to be some sort of claims direct? I asked them to remove the number from their data base or I would go to ofcom lets see.
- Caller: Claims direct
- AnonymOk after 2 missed calls they left a 'blank' voice message (some indian dudes chatting in the background). I called them back, didn't really catch the company name even though I asked it twice. It's some classic company trying to get you to sue your bank and CC company. Even though I called them the girl on the phone still had my full name quickly to hand; started with the "we could get you £1500 from blah blah, last ten years blah blah". I said I haven't got any loans or credit cards that had charged me anything in the last 10 years. She politely said 'ok thank you sir' and convo ended.
It's not Talk Talk it seems.
IMPORTANT *********These types of companies pretend to know more about you than they do and try to take you through the processes without you really realising what you are doing. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A ONE OFF FEE FOR A "GUARANTEED" RETURN ONLY FOR YOU TO RECEIVE A LETTER OF FAILURE WEEKS LATER, HAVING TAKEN YOUR CASH**********
IT IS SCAM TELEMARKETTING- Call type: Telemarketer
- debssaid about alliance and lescister that i could claim back money no win no feev when i said no loan taken out they hung up
