I received a claa fro this number today, when answered they asked for me by my name, when replied speaking thay just hing up!
Do they get paid for every connection or what?
Most annoying.

They have called me every day for the last 2 weeks - i never answer a number i dont recognise.
They never leave a message. Having read the above messages i will definately be saving the number in my phone under DO NOT ANSWER!

i had a couple of calls i missed today from 08009886018. when i answered they asked for my wifes step father, i find this weird because we have no conection at all, and its not an easy name to just quess. does anyone think its weird they used his name, surely its easier to get my name in conectionwith my number than someone i have never foned or anythin from my number, ps they are [***] and dont speak much english, so it is a weird call

3 calls a day and when ans no one is there and when you call back they hang up

I've had 4 missed calls on my mobile from this number in 24 Hours.  I think going by the responses here, I'll continue to ignore it.

I have received a call from this number and they claim to be the claims advisory group ... it was a female with an Indian accent which answered

I used to work in outbound Telesales don't be alarmed no one can
do anything with only your name, address and date of birth, just DO NOT give out bank details etc, also it's a rule that when the phone goes to answer machine your not allowed to leave a message so you have to hang up. The police won't do anything as it's not a police matter. Also I know how annoying it is, don't blame the people though blame the company I suspect if the company who owns the outbound call centre for Talk Talk is the same one I worked at, then the company messed up alot of the data you couldn't take someone off the calling list so the dialer programme would call the customer again and again. I worked at Careline on behalf of sky but there's a department for Talk Talk also, I reccomend giving careline a call or writing to them complaining but don't be too abrupt because they might however not be the call centre who deals with it, but perhaps if it's not them, they could put you in touch with the outbound call centre that is.

Would not be so bad if they did not mumble like moronic cowards. If they cannot be bothered to teach their staff to use proper English in a polite and friendly manner they cannot be worth dealing with as they obviously have no customer care or ethics.

I received a call from the same number asking for my name and saying that they had received my CV (which I haven't sent for ages!) and after that I didn't understand anything I just could distinguish that was something to do with loans... but the accent was very strange

My daughter had this number call her today on her mobile, Strange thing is the indian chap ask to speak to me, not my daughter. When she said I'm sorry this isn't  Elaine's number he hung up.

I've been getting this call several times over the last few days, they say they're from some insurance claims compensation company or other and they 'know i've taken out a loan', heh who hasn't?! I still haven't got rid of them, there's LOADS of chattering in the background, clearly a BIG call center. Annoying, as they're the only calls I get! Ha! Funny how they're Talk Talk AND this loan company...hhhhmmmm sounds fishy....

I have received calls from this number, on and off, for some time but the intensity has just picked up.  Yesterday I received no less than 5 calls, two of which I managed to pick up.  I had the same experience of them knowing my name and muttering something about 'claims' and then the line goes dead.  I have reported this to Ofcom.  I did block the number yesterday evening and this morning received another, using the international prefix for the UK - I've now blocked this version as well.

Starting to call 3/4 times a day and hangs up when answered, just don't pick up when I see the number they will soon stop

I have rec'd 2 calls in a short space of time today, both to my mobile phone.
I ignored them both as I didn't know the caller.

Received calls to my mobile from this number last night and at 14:45 today. I am not a Talk Talk customer, my landline is with BT and call package with Sky. I rang the number back and was told I was though the 'Claims Department' and was speaking with Layla. Didnt hang on after that in case I was being charged a bomb.

The call disconnects! I rang them back, a female answered, and I hung up!!!! Hah :)

Claim Advisory service ................! Soon as you answer they hang-up ! when you call them back they start to ask you questions !!! .....I told them I will not answer any of their question until they tell me who they are and what they want !!! I was informed that they work for many Tele Marketing companies and if I gave them my home phone / mobile number and post code they will find the company that targeting me!!

I found out that my contact detail had been obtain (how? they wouldn’t tell me!) and was on a Tele Marketing list.
After a few choice words I informed them to remove all my details and if I receive further calls from them I would report them for Harassment , under the Harassment Act 1997

Same as many people before; I got called about 6 times from this number and when I finally answered it they were from the Claim advisory service. I reluctantly "confirmed" my address (which they already had) and they went on to tell me that I would receive a pack in the post over the next few days. I told them to stuff it and thats when they started to ask me about if other people in my family had loans (which they do not) I then told them I was not interested and hung up.

I'm sort of worried that they could do something with my address (although they already had it) as this is the only information I confirmed with them. To my knowledge I'm on the callers preference list or whatever you call it to stop cold callers but this company managed to get through. Can anyone inform me on if this company can do anything if I've only "confirmed" my address? I've heard stories about scammers attempting to change postal addresses but since they only have my address and not any more of my info I don't know if they can do it.
