this company diddle me out of £210, as i agree to monthly payments of £5.83, have received no paperwork like promise, i found out by checking my bank statement, anybody who gets a call from sat/lite ensure dont give them any details, they are a scam company

having worked for sky for over 10 years i can only offer everyone here the same advice i have just had to give my mother . having a staff account = no need for warranty but my mum chose to believe them i got there just in time before she gave them her card details //.... ok ask them to give you YOUR viewing card number to verify they are from sky for starters OR THE SERIAL NUMBER OF YOUR BOX SKY KNOW WHA BOX YOU HAVE AND ITS SERIAL NUMBER AND VIEWING CARD NUMBER  and if they cant answer that question ask them to transfer the call to any other department you can think of ie accounts to pay your bill etc if they can do that they are from sky if they cant transfer the call directly into a call que HANG UP DONT GIVE ANYONE YOUR CARD DETAILS . if it is sky calling you can always call them back on the numbers on your sky box press SERVICES THEN GODOWN TO TELEPHONE NUMBERS ... ALL THE SKY NUMBERS ARE LISTED THERE OH AND GO STRAIGHT TO TRADING STANDARDS THEN THE TPS www.tpsonline.org.uk THE MORE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN TO THE TPS THE MORE THIS COMPANY WILL GET FINED ....

2 mins ago, received a call from this bunch. Said they were Satellite Ltd and were calling to remind me that my maintenance agreement had expired. I told them to send me a letter and hung up.

i also had a call from them yesterday, stupidley i paid them last year £60 and they said this was now due again. He read out my card details to me and asked me if the card details were the same, i said i thought they were,but he then wanted the 3 digits on the back and i refused, he became quite angry saying i must pay or i would end up paying loads of money for repairs. I still refused and said i wanted to see some paperwork first, then put the phone down, he the rang me again straight away, but i didnt answer, but am worried in case he just goes ahead and takes the money out with the details he has. Any ideas on what i should do now would be appreciated.

this company rang home number- my partner answered and said i might be interested and  for them to ring me after work - they told him they had my  card number but needed the 3 digit security code from the back he refused and thought that was the last of it untill i spoke to them .that night he told me and i said i wasnt interested . when i went to the bank this week a payment of 6 pounds had been taken -even thogh i have never spoken to them or given permission . i cancelled my card at once .my question is this - where did they get my card details from and how were they able to acesss my account ?

No James - they aren't a bonafide company.  They phone people and take their money.  They do not work for Sky at all and try to get people to take out warranties on their Sky equipment.

They may be a legit company but they are not part of Sky and what they are doing is illegal.

just had a call from a company called Sat-Lite, based in Norbury, the full address is on their web site,

tried to tell me my sky box warranty had expired and all the usual crap......heard it all before, and am too wise to get taken in by that bunch.....

please take care, they are cold calling and trying to prise your credit card details from you,

they are nothing to do with sky and when you ask direct questions about such the relpies make the morning politicians obfuscations seem like a crystal clear answers !!

My husband too got a call from this company and parted with £210 for 3 years cover. They were slick and he fell for it. Its now 8 days since our money was taken and like others no paperwork. I callked the company today, and "due to unforseen circumstances there is no-one available to take calls" what a surprise. The call sounds like it has been made in a bathroom, certainly not an offie or call centre. Can anyone advise next steps. The card used stupidly was a debit not credit. Has anyone's account been debited more than once?? Card has now been stopped and new one requested.

Wanted to renew my warranty on Sky Box.  I dont have one and they acted a little strange when I began to question them.

PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY ATTENTIVELY!I used toplay a key role in this company's customer services department until I resigned not long ago to join the police force. the General manager whoose name is MR.Michael Hope used has got a special team in the customer services department whoose responsibility was to respond to these blogs.What he asked us to do is to write only good comments on this blog/tread.
Whenever you see any comment that is positive about this company in this tread,just be rest assured that it was placed there by one of thier staff member.
I left them lately because of thier inhumane practices against very old and vulnerable customers and we were taking payments form people without sending confirmation letters to them.They have a key member of staff whoose name is KRISHNAN IYER who claims to know it all always and he made us not send many thousands of confirmation letters to customers who have paid to the company for extended warranties on thier equipments and they kept blaming evryone else for it except themselves.
subsequently,I resigned to join the police.I was only just buying time up until when my atachment to the force was due.
Like I said  BE CAREFULL of these scammers!
The Director is SHAMEER HOSSENBOUX and he would do anything for money.....i know him personally.
As a matter of fact,they have most recently changed thier name to SAMPORA the trading name under which they have re-coloured themselves like a chameleon to keep stealing from innocent/vulnerable members of the public
please know that the name has since changed to SAMPORA! SAMPORA!!SAMPORA!!! AND NO MORE SATLITE.

My mother with serious memory problems has just been scammed by this company, the lady on the phone kepton and on till my Mum paid her the money by card for an insurance policy on a product dhe does not have!

Took £70 off her for insurenace she does not need not having a Satelite

Have been caught out on Sat Lite Ensured scam.
Never took out any insurance with them.
They started taking £8.00 month from Sept.2010.
Equipment was still covered by Sky.
Can I reclaim my money.

I realise this post is from last year but I am having real difficulties with a company called

Sat Lite Ensured. They took money from our account in January 2011 and again in April 2011.

We have received no paperwork from this company and no recollection of agreeing to anything.

When we called them yesterday we were told to send an email and she gave us a WSA number that is 17 digits long.

Just wondered if you had had any lick in getting this stopped.

had an email from them today stating they had a recording of the telephone call so
'therefore we are unable to cancel and refund any monies as the agreement was
entered into legitimately'.

I have NEVER received any paper work and as this was paid on my Barclaycard I am not sure how I can get out of this agreement.

I have asked for a transcript of the call.
