- DCCouldn't make out the name of the caller. They said I'd answered a phone questionnaire yesterday, which was true, and offered me £20 in petrol vouchers plus a free lifestyle magazine. If I liked the magazine which they said came with free vouchers I could subscribe for £79.99 per year. I know with these things that they would want bank or credit card details. I told them no thanks and terminated the call. Then I looked them up on this website!

- gullible| 2 repliesJust been scammed I think - whoever is behind it is linked to a telephone survey which I completed recently as they had details of my responses Not holding out much hope of getting petrol vouchers or even trial copy of magazine. Wonder if reporting credit card lost /stolen would prevent them accessing my account.
- Caller: purporting to be Sapphire magazine
- Barbara L.Just had ANOTHER call, from these CLUELESS Morons!! THIS time... I had a bit of FUN with it!! The guy on the line... the dummy I was talkin to ---- WHAT LANGUAGE!! I wonder if he talks like THAT, to his Wife, and Kids... <if he has any>.

- LiliNJust had a call from a guy who said i had filled in a survey and to thanks me he wanted to send me a free 'Sapphire' magazine + a £20 fuel voucher. I had no recollection of this but went with it to,start with.
I said fine and he went through the spiel of how they were linked to a cancer charity, the first edition would be free then if I wanted to sign up,it would be £79.99 for the year but I would get discount vouchers worth £200 plus! Thought it sounded too good to be true, then came the punch line: they wanted a £1 for postage and if I could just give him my card details they would take £1! I told his yeh right I wouldn't be giving anyone that I hadn't called, my details over the phone. He tried to say he didn't come to work to rip people off but I told him in no uncertain terms what he could do with his magazine and that I NEVER give out my details over the phone, he was very persistent so I just put down the phone. Where do they find these people who have no conscience!!- Caller: Sapphire magazine!

To confirm cancellation.thankfully worked for me today .good luck - Linda| 1 replyI fell for this when they were scamming under the heading of ME Magazine 18 months ago and would like to know what if anything the authorities have done to stop these people. Surely with all the complaints and evidence there must be against them they should have been dealt with by the courts by now and locked up. If it were any other crime of theft or fraud they would have.

- Evelyn GreenDreadful cold call from an 08445 670 460 number saying they were Sapphire Magazines, the Mead Group They wanted to send us vouchers for helping with a survey.
- S GriffinHaving spent some time working for this company, I told them to shove their job where the sun doesn't shine as I am not the type of person who is ok with calling people to scam them. When I was interviewed for the job I was told these people were expecting the calls, which they were not. We were not allowed to use words "cancellation" or anything negative. The selling tactics were awful, being told we would have to ask for card details four times before ending the call, basically just being forceful. Every person I spoke to sounded older and didn't seem to know what I was talking about. We were told that everyone we had called had taken a telephone interview and knew they were going to get a call but that was really not the case. The email address's I have for the company are omorris@mefinanceuk.com and staff@mefinanceuk.com

- Undefined replies to LindaThey are apparently covered by their paragraph about compliance. This will be the paragraph they say just before they take your details, which pretty much says they will automatically take the money after 14 days and you will move onto full membership.
