Does any one actually stop these people, or are we wasting our time

incoming call - but as everyone else - no-one speaks then hangs up.

two calls today, 17.15 & 18.20 hung up when we answered the telephone.

Just had a call on my mobile from this number - yep, went dead when i answered it.  Thanks to this site, i know not to bother answering in future.

this number called me earlier - no message was left - i have registered with the telephone preference service and am ex-directory - surely this is breaking the rules! how can we stop it??

Have had about 3 calls from this number, just got one 15 minutes ago. Don't actually answer anymore but annoying the f*ck out of me.

Thanks to this site though... at least I know what/who it is. Collectively reporting the number to some watchdog will probably sort it out.

I got a call from this number claiming it was to do with my credit card security.  As I was about to go out I asked them to call back.  On my return I called my credit card to check there was no problem and they are happy with my account and have not contacted me.

Am on TPS so they surely shouldn't be calling

Called 2/3 times in a hour to my mobile and rang for a short period of time and hung up leaving no message. It is an 0845 number so it is expensive to call back.

Had a call from 08451309405 at around 4pm this afternoon claiming they were called "Financial Insurance". They asked to speak to my partner (by her full name), who wasn't home.

When I started to grill them as to what it was about, I was told that they could speak to me about it and they said that she had provided them with our phone number and requested them to call. Rubbish. So I grilled again - did she personally give this number to your organisation and did she know she was giving it to you? Again, they said yes.

Someone needs to stop these pests.

I've literally just got off the phone to this number a second time in the last 10 minutes. I spoke to a real person, it was definitely not pre-recorded as we had a conversation. She was Northern and called Sharon but the area code doesn't really seem to match upto anywhere I know of.

She told me she was from "Finance Financial Planning" or something along the finance company lines, and asked to speak to my dad. I explained that he was out until late (which he is, it wasn't just to get her to go) and told her the best time to call back tomorrow etc. She was very polite and thanked me and said she'd call back. Ten minutes later, the house phone rings again and it's the exact same woman, but this time she doesn't tell me her name, or her company, and just asks for my father. So I tell her the same, that he's out and gave her the best time and she just acted as if she had never called me before. I thought perhaps she had just found our name on the company records and forgotten she'd already rang us but there was no surprise when I told her the same again!

I googled the number to see if the company existed and got this site with a load of complaints from this number. It's really quite irritating.

Got a call from this number and went dead straight away when I picked it. Felt a bit curious, then google it and found this. Does this number charge for answering call? Why they keep annoying people?

The reason you lot all get called even tho your on ex-directory or tps is because the call centres buy samples from companys where people haven't ticked a box when registering or something. The call centres don't know if your tps or whatever. Also, they do keep trying to ring back unless you insist in an angry voice that you want to be taken off the list. And don't hang up cos then they'll book another appointment to call you back. And if you say the person requested  is out, they'll call back.

Two phone calls in last two days

On both occasions the call went dead as soon as I answered.

i called the number back and it's telesales.  very annoying!! I get calls at work almost every day!!  i'll just hang up next time it rings..

I have three calls from this number as well.  Everytime I let it ring through to my answerphone but the call hangs up.  Have no idea who they are but having looked here, am glad I don't bother picking it up.

Left a voicemail repeating the word Hello around 15 times and then hung up.

Can someone block this number...???? Two calls in a row. I do not appreciate if this is mobile companies giving away personal phone numbers. IT is bad enough to have nuissance calls to home telephone numbers, let alone having to deal with mobiles now!
