they have called me 3 times a day for the last week. Its really annoying as every time i pick up the line goes dead. I have a samsung so have put the number in my reject list....hopefully this works! If not, can anyone who has made it stop help me?!

Have been getting calls over past few days ("use of 1471 facility" tells me it's 08451 309405) - No-one speaks & the receiver is immediately put down when I answer. Our phone number is Ex-Directory - It has become a NUISANCE.

Had a call from these today, in fact had a few over the past couple of weeks, when I answered it they disconnected.  I am also TPS registered

These and other numbers have been calling with increasing, monotonous regularity.  I can only assume it is another scam line hoping recipients will divulge enough information over the course of several calls (which individually seem innocent) to perpetrate identity theft.

Really annoying - haven't even bothered answering these calls on my mobile(twice a day in some cases, for the last few days).  Thanks to this site, I know it's not important.  I'm also on TPS for my mobile as well as home phone, so they are breaking the law.  I'll see if i can complain to the TPS people about this... by the way, i'm very careful with forms and always tick the boxes for no marketing etc... so where they've got this from is anyone's guess!!

I have had 5 Phone calls of this telephone number and every time i answer the phone no one talks! it is getting very annoying.

10 miss calls in 3 days.. so annoying! i have put this number into reject list.. hope they won't call again..

I get a call from this number almost every 2nd day. Its annoying. These [***] have got nothing better to do of their time.

This number calls me several times a day and it always goes dead if I pick it up. Tried to get orange to bar the number but was just told to go to the police.

Sounds like I will be getting another few weeks of calls that ring and say nothing. Got my my first one from 01709842899 today. It's at least twice a day, monday to friday, could turn into more as the other number has just started today. Called my service provider, vodafone last week, they told me they could do nothing to help. So how do you stop them?

Been getting these calls for about three weeks.  I have pressed 1 and left my details but they still call.

Just had a call from this number, the very first one I must admit but like a lot of other people my number is ex directory so I do feel rather annoyed especially so when it just went dead after I answered. Naturally after I dialled 1471 and got the number I didn't bother to ring, had the feeling that all is not as it should be with these people, they need to be traced and prosecuted.

As everyone else on here, we've been getting calls from 08451 309 405 for about 2 weeks - every time we answer the phone goes dead. Also from 01709 842899, which we believe is the same lot. Earlier today my wife answered a call from the latter, and the chap on the other end of the phone (Ricky) claimed to be calling regarding her Debenhams store card, and special offers available to cardholders.

08451309405 and 01709842899 have both been calling me at least three times a day for the past week. Every time I answer there's nobody at the other end, it's just quiet

Same comment as all others - what a bunch of jokers these people are!  Anyone hear the bit about fraudsters and telephone sales on Radio 4 this lunchtime?  What's going on in this country? You're hassled and at risk from dodgy 'business' (criminal?) practices simply by answering your own telephone!

This number has called several times 'Financial Insurance Company' for my partner. Won't say why they're calling. Have Telephone Preference Service so don't know why they are calling anyway.

I am getting really p*ssed off, getting this number also, every day this week, twice today, they hang up as soon as I answer, if they ever do speak to me they are going to get some serious verbals.

I have been called at least 30 times in the last couple of weeks by these numbers, including 5 times already today. I do have a Dorothy Perkins card but I'm careful to tick to any boxes that make sure they don't share my information. Im not answering thanks to this website letting me know that its all just pointless.

i never give out my home phone as it is ex-directory.

We've been getting these calls on and off for ages and we too are TPS registered.

These calls are generated by automatic dialling equipment which dial more numbers than there are operators available to take the calls. "

I think I'll call and register; can't hurt !
