- PhilXKeep getting pestered by 08451309405.
No one ever speaks.. very frustrating as we are an Ex D number - ruthhave been receiving calls from 08451 309405 at round about same time for 4 days now. no one speaks when i answer. suspect they expecting me to call back so that i end up paying them for the call. i won't of course but it is a bore and would prefer people to find other less annoying ways of making their living!
- BeverleyHave received calls from this number to my mobile phone for the past week - usually around the same time. On the first occasion I answered and it sounded as though I was calling a number. I have since stopped answering when this number is displayed! They'll soon get fed up !
- champhave been getting calls from this number for 3 days, googled and come up with this site, i also opened an account with TopShop, so I rang Arcadia who own the chains Burton, Topshop, Topman etc, they told me that its G E Capital who hold all my details, they did try to give me an 0845 number but i refused to accept that number, in the end they gave me the head office number in Leeds for GE Capital 0113 2807080.
Rang them up, telling them they were in breach of their contract, and that it could become a police matter as it could be classed as nuisance phone calls because they hang up on me, they told me that they are not selling my details to third party and that CPP Credit Protection Plan are part of them, so I made them remove my details so that they wouldnt call me....will see if it has worked, if it doesnt I threatened that I would involve the police (which i wont really but thought id throw that comment to them anyway!)- Caller: CPP
- Stephwho are they and why do they keep on contacting people? Can something been done about it???
- KirstyHad several calls from this number in the past few days, one at 20.45 on a Friday evening - didn't answer as I thought it would be a cold / sales call - glad I didn't reading these!
- guvHad 27 missed calls of them on my spare pay as u go phone (just checked today)....i have not picked up the phone and answered it as yet and seems unlikely that i will do so in the future judging by your comments.
- NickyI keep getting these calls daily, I answered the first one not knowing who it was and got no response, it is very annoying!
- NickyYet another call this is twice in one day so far!
- JOnly have 1 store card, Debenhams, this number continues to call me, I just ignore it.
Might be worth every time they call then send an email to Debenhams complaints, scratch that. Just went to their web site to get an email address, and this is what I find:-

Debenhams account card

LMAO, note the phrase 'security and data protection restrictions', needless to say we won't be shopping at Debenhams again or any related stores.
Don't really want to call as this will be costing me money, so will just continue to ignore the number. - MarkHave also been called by this number on several occasions over the past few months. Never spoken to anyone and don't have a Burton card. Phoned BT today to report the problem after finding this link on their website.

They can block these nuisance calls as can your mobile phone company just phone them and it can be done there and then at no charge.- Caller: ??
- AimeeYep similar story, missed calls daily for the past week, no message left, I did manage to answer once and I didn't hear anything so I hung up - will it every end? I have a Debenhams card too...
- Caller: ?
- FayI just had a call from this number, they hung up after I said hello (twice)
Hope they don't carry on. - FayIncidentally it's a work number so I can't see how it could be anything related to my store cards.
- JWell, today I received mail from what looked like 'Debenhams', although the envelope had 'Debenhams' on it, as did the contents, there was a distinct absence of a 'Debenhams' address/phone no./email.
So it would appear that after weeks of not answering their calls, they mail me.
They are trying to sell me my credit report? Its a firm called Affinion, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affinion_Group. Oh, they've received complaints, surprise.
Apparently if I reply to this mail (reply slip thoughtfully enclosed, to an address in Portsmouth) then I get the 1st month free then billed to 'my store card' !!! at £69.99 after 1 month, sweet scam.
Since I only supplied my mobile number when getting a Debenhams store card then that information could only have been passed to Affinion from the company that does store cards for Debenhams which is 'GE Money'.
I don't think it's quite fraud. It may be worth checking your store cards to see if there have been any unauthorised billings. I will!!!!!! - robbo hullMissed the call and phoned back. Pre-recording saying I was called by a 'telemarketing company about products and services'. If I didnot want this, I was told to press '1', whereby a pre-record asked me to leace my telephone number and name (so as to be removed from records). Henceforth, my name is 'bugger off' and my address is 'stop annoying me' ;-)
- Caller: 'a telemarketing company'. allegedly.

- Richard ManchesterGot a call yesterday but Ansphn picked it up and no msg was left. I always check these numbers online before calling them back as also on TPS. Off to report to BT. V dodgey!
- FayGrr, I take it back, it was Debenhams. Didn't think I'd given them this number.
Want my advice? Don't let them talk, they just don't know when to quit.
