Called my cell phone, I had gotten these Microsoft calls before from other numbers. Hung up on him telling him that this I knew it was a sales call and blocked the number.

I get calls from them at least once a month. Once they said my computer was sending them error messages and I had to laugh and tell them my computer has been off and unplugged for days due to sever lightening storms. Said it was still sending messages. Sometimes they change it and say I have a virus. I told them my son works for Microsoft and if I have an issue, he would be the one to fix it. One lady even as far as to tell me that she didnt care what department he was in at Mircrosoft, he didnt know what she knew and if I wanted to chance my computer crashing,it would be my problem then. OMG, really? Do they think we are that stupid and gullible. Some days i play along to waste their time and some days I answer like i would my business.  they hang up.  They dont give up, and neither should we!

Strange or Coincidence?
A lot of times when I have contacted Microsoft, via a chat session, I get follow-up calls from someone claiming to be one of their techies.Are our activities being leaked out?

This is a scam. Microsoft does NOT call people and ask to get into your computer. Don't talk to these people. They are usually calling from the Far East (India, etc.) but will give you a fake, "American-sounding" name. They can get very aggressive and nasty when confronted.

I once told them I was "too old to handle a computer," and the guy argued with me, saying, "Your are NOT old! Your voice is too strong to be old!!"  We're getting these calls multiple times a week, sometimes several a day. They have absolutely no right to know whether or not you even own a computer--just tell them you don't. (But, I tried that, and it didn't work either--they are pretty determined to mine your personal information off your computer.)

Same story as below. Microsoft, blah, blah, blah. What a tool. I hung up on him before he got too far.

Voice message. Claims to be IRS, want u to call another number.

Caller from this number (he left a message on my answering machine - slight Russian accent) said he was an agent from the IRS and was informing me this was the last notice that the IRS was pressing a lawsuit against me.  He wanted me to call another number to discuss (415-799-7748).  I didn't call back.  Maybe someone else may want to mess with these scammers!

I got a missed call from this number. Got VM stating this is a final notice from the IRS. hmmm

I got a call from this number today, and it went to my voice mail. It just recorded a beginning sentence saying I was being sued by the IRS and to call back. Recoding ended before I got a call back number. Glad I researched.....

Recieved a call with a recorded message that this was a final notice from the IRS that a lawsuit was being filed.  The male recorded message left a number to call that was relayed so quickly there was no time to jot it down.

Will follow up with IRS but appears to be a scam caller.

Now the call claims to be the IRS and they have filed a law suit against me. Total B.S.

Voice recording claiming to be Officer from IRS??? No correspondence via mail to support? Claiming lawsuit? Looked up number, complaints filed states it a scam. Crazy!!!!

the person calling left an automated voicemail stating they are calling from the IRS and there is a law suit against me and wanted me to call another number; the next day i get the same automated voicemail but this time the caller ID was blocked so i couldnt see the number that was callin me; total scam the IRS will never call u

got a call from this number ...not about my computer but an ooicer from IRS..finall attempt to reach meas IRS has a lawsuit against me..a deep voice...

Recording that states IT'S and it was to inform that I am being sued. Called number back only to be told that call cannot be completed as fialed. Very suspicious...

Automated voice saying they were the IRS and had a lawsuit against me and I am to call another number as this the last verification /courtesy call.

Called yesterday and today.  Claimed IRS was filing a lawsuit and this was the last courtesy call (on both messages). Deleted message before hearing if there was a different number to call back.
