I had 2 messages on my backup cell phone from a Tonya Phillips from CPS stating they have a very serious case against me.  Today I called and spoke with Tonya Phillips who stated that I owe on a payday loan from 2005 for Cash Advance Now.  Tonya then said that I owe 275 which is the principal balance and 1500 in interest in penalties and if I didn't pay today I was going to jail.  I then stated to Tonya that I have never taken any type of payday loan from anyone and that I have worked for a legitimate collection agency and I know for a fact that no collection agency can threaten anyone with jail to get them to pay a debt and being that there was nothing in writing sent to me, I have a right to dispute these false allegations.  She then in turn stated that I will be picked up by the police today and I in turn stated "be my guest"!!!! I asked her to provide me something in writing and she told me that they in fact do not send out anything in writing.  I have worked for a commercial debt collection agency for a very long time and I know for a fact that legitimate collection agencies do send out notices by mail especially when requested by the debtor.  I also know that there is a process that has to take place way before they can take a person to court, even if it is a bounced check involved.  In the case of a bounce check, depending on the state you live in, criminal proceedings are usually brought against you by the district attorney, solicitor's office, magistrate etc.  But again if it is legitimate they will notify you in writing. CPS purchases their "cases" and tries to collect on them.  They jack the interest up very high because the more money they collect the higher commission they are paid.  I made Tonya aware that I am not a fool and I know they are trying to use scare tactics to get people to pay them.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!! GO ONLINE AND LOOK UP THE FEDERAL LAWS REGARDING COLLECTIONS.  CONTACT THE BBB AND THE FTC AND FILE COMPLAINTS AGAINST ANY COMPANY THAT HARRASSES YOU INTO PAYING A DEBT ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO PROVIDE YOU WITH LEGITIMATE DOCUMENTATION REGARDING THIS DEBT!!!!

I let them give me their Western Union information. I did not pay and they kept calling UNTIL...

I called Western Union and let them have it for doing business with these clowns. I told them I would file a suit and put Western Union in it.

I think the debts are all either really old or made up. I think anyone who pays Ryon Gambill, CPS, Marauder, whatever he calls it is making a mistake.

Refuse to pay. Then complain to the credit bureaus, under the new California law Gambill has to justify his actions.

Tell him you are not paying.

Then, call Experian and tell them he is using your credit report improperly.

These people will tell you one thing and do another...said they would e mail me with the details of the arrangement we made...didn't hear from them, also charged my card twice which caused a overdraft to my account...do not give them access to your card...they also threatened me with prosecution...these people are predators!!!

Ryon Gambill and his collection companies, Marauder, CPS, and the rest are all show and no go.

They skiptrace you through Experian and put a black mark on your Experian report. Contest the debt, Experian will remove it, if they don't, sue them. They are SO tired of Gambill, but he must pay well.

Gambill will not sue you, he has a criminal record and outstanding warrants. He cannot prove the debts are real, so he will lose in court.

Gambill cannot have you arrested either. It is all bluster.

So laugh at him, insult his bald head and ugly girlfriend, Christina Troll (her real name). Just report his abuse to Experian and make sure they remove him from your report.

Ask him why he ditched his friend Ray Wrightsman in a time of need and why his marriage to fellow substance abuser Kim Edwards fell apart. Ask him why a successful guy like him can't even get visitation for his daughter.

At this point he'll be screaming and swearing. It will be the last time you hear from him. He will then go drink a case of beer and urinate on one of the people in his call center. Yes, that's the kind of guy Ryon Gambill is.

All of his operations are scams. He uses the CPS name to make people think it is Child Protective Services. Marauder Corporation loses every time it gets sued.

Gambill will make threats of court action and police involvement. He's filed one lawsuit, for defamation, and it got tossed out because his lawyer was not licensed.

He tried filing bankruptcy, that got thrown out for fraud.

The debts he tries to collect are well beyond the statute of limitations. He uses Experian to investigate people, which is against the law.

Refuse to pay this little clown. If he puts a black mark on your Experian report, complain to them and threaten to sue them if they do not remove it.

While you are at it, taunt them when they call. Make fun of the fact that Ryon lost his home in foreclosure. Make fun of the fact that a "big shot" businessman like Ryon can't even get visitation of his daughter. Remind them that Ryon has been convicted of harassment and has outstanding arrest warrants.

This low life called today asking me to have my son call him right away acting like there related to CPS. I've been through this before with other collection agencies and I'm not falling for this one. Come put me in jail you lowlife and make my day.
