Looks like Nick has turned into Ann Collins from CPS.  She just called me and the caller ID read 760-423-1100 but the phone number she leaves is 800-460-0082 x201 with a case #5459124.  She left a message that my case is being investigated for fraud and is set out for processing at the end of next week.  She says it's important that she hears back from me in the next 48 business hours and hopes I get the message in time.  Most legitimate businesses have a website and I could not find anything for Check Protection Services.

They are calling me now..do not answer..they are fraudulent & liars. If you do answer, hang up. .

This is a bogus company. The guy who runs it is Ryon Gambill. He has been convicted of harassment and there is at least one outstanding arrest warrant out for him.

He works with Ray Wrightsmann, who has been convicted of domestic battery.

If a woman is on the phone, it may be Kim Gambill, Ryon's wife or one of a string of office managers they have at the Marauder Corporation.

They make threats they cannot follow through on. Gambill cannot leave California for fear of being arrested.

Your best bet is to sue them for FDCPA violations. While you are at it sue Experian. Gambill has been known to place fake debts on Experian. Experian gets sued all the time, the average payout is $10,000, you could make some money. Experian's negotiator is Abril Bedarf Turner, a power shopper who has to be ordered to come to court. Just ignore her bluster and tell her you will see Experian in court.

Got a call from them today regarding a friend lol I have gotten this crap (not only from this number) for the past five years, usually  every other month or so.

They call the place where I work looking for someone no one has ever heard of.

and told them about the arrest warrant for Gambill. They said it was faked in Photoshop! Well out of curiosity we called the Fairfax County Court and it is real. He has been charged with failure to appear on top of harassment. Not likely he's going to Virginia anytime soon. We also tease him about Ray the wife beater.

Scumbags. Do not pay them a cent.

Tina Phillips of the CPS Fraud Division Case # 5478993 called and stated it would be in my best intrest to call her back at Ext. 201 but would not state any thing but the case number they call me 3 to 5 times a week and use different people and say I owe a debt from 2007. I told them it is not my debt that was why I changed all my banking info and not to call back. Do not know how they got my phone number since it is unlisted and has been changed in the las couple of years. Cannot even have a good evening because they have to call and ruin it.

I received a call from Sophia Jackson from CFS who said since I haven't returned any of her calls, she has chosen to let her client file papers with the court and will do so on December 12th.

They never sue for debts. They do get sued all the time.

The company is owned by Ryon Gambill, who has a criminal record and outstanding arrest warrants.

The worst they can do is harass you, report that to the police.

They can put debts on your Experian report, but you sue Experian if they do not remove it. Experian will settle if you sue them.

I've been getting a call from a tina phillips from CPS claiming I owe 240 for a fox enterprise payloan,,,,,,so I looked up the actual number for fox enterprises,,and the lady I talk too said I didn't get the loan,,and gave me app. # and tina should be able too match,,and they just continue agruing with the fact over 240,,,,,,,they have info that suposely gave on internet when I quote on quote got the loan,,,but how come they cant give me the proof I need myself,,ha

how do they get ur info then,,,,I delt with another company about me oweing money,,so I called fox enterprise then,,and agin I didn't owe or even get a payloan

I also called and talk to a Ryon G,,,and he said something It going on my credit report If I didn't pay It.........pay what when I dont owe anything,,,,,If he has a record himself how could he say that were the bad ppl not taking responiblity:/

Received a call on my cell phone from Melissa at CPS in the "fraud department" and that it was imperative that they get in contact with me as soon as possible

got a call from 760-423-1100  ext.199 said her name was Melissa at CPS-fraud department. Imperative that I get in touch with them regarding an investigation that was being done on me. Case # 5444233 they have been trying to call me for about 3 months now. this company is a scam and u should not call them. they will only harrass you.

Ryon Gambill and Marauder have an arrangement with Experian. They buy your information. Of course, they are not supposed to be able to do this without having a "permissible purpose" as defined by the law.

Experian makes money every time he does a query or puts an item on your report.

You should complain, and complain loudly to Experian. Write to them and call them. Threaten to sue them. This happens all the time. They will remove Gambill's debt and his inquiry and if you sue they will pay.

You can also find the arrest warrant issued for Gambill for harassment and also copies of the criminal records of Ryon Gambill and Ray Wrightsman.

Do not pay these people. They are scamming horrible criminals. Fight back. Also boycott businesses using Experian.

This lady calls me and says that I owed for a check advance loan form 2004 at some check advance place hundreds of miles away from where I live. The lady would not give me her name just said she was with CPS. These scammers need to be stopped.

Some guy calls me everyday leaving me rude messages saying he knows where I work?

I just received a call from a gentlemen by the "Name" of John Watson stating he was calling from "CPS". Indicating I needed to call him back about fraud. I am at work right now so I am going to call from a blocked #. I can record phone calls at my office. I will let him know I am recording them and keep all posted.. Should I report to the police dept?

I've received a call with no message this morning. This is my new phone #, new line, new service. Kind of weird because I called an agency to pay off my dad's account yesterday which was in Oklahoma but they are a legit company. I'm wondering if my phone # got passed on.

The guy that I spoke to was telling me that he talk to me last year about this . He`s asking me for $200.00 and to resovle it now our he`s gonna take it to court.
