Ryon Gambill, owner of Marauder, has at least one outstanding arrest warrant. This seems to violate an Experian policy:

Ask the Marauder people about it when they call. If he messes with your Experian be sure to bring it up to them as well.

If you want to complain directly to Marauder, you need to know that the Indian Wells address is a mail drop. Gambill runs Marauder out of his house: 75142 La Sierra Drive, Palm Desert, CA. If you are local, go by and have a word with him.

He has been reported for other violations, he sure does get upset when people knock at his door!

I recieve calls from them at work everyday, i was talking to them, thinking i owed a debt, but after further investigation on the internet, i found them to be frauds!!  I cant believe they do this to so many people!! if they call again i will report them, this is ridiculous.

A friend of ours received a call from a Kate Miller at CPS 1-760-423-1100 ext 203 regarding a case # 5448953 stating that she needed to get ahold of my husband right away regarding a matter. I called her right away because "CPS" to me is Child Protective Service" I was totally freaking out and very scared!  I asked her what they wanted and what "CPS" meant. Kate Miller stated that it was Check Protection Services and my husband owed a debt of $107.50 and she had spoke with the administrator of this pay day loan that my husband suppovisly owed this money to. I asked her how we could pay for this and Kate Miller stated that we could send it via western union or via personal bank account. DUH! Im not stupid scammer Kate! I looked up their "CPS" website and it's a scam there is NO real website! I made contact with Kate Miller today 12/9/2011 and told her that I knew her company was a scam and she would NOT be getting my money I also told her that I filled a fruad complaint through the FBI and to please stop contacting me she got very vulgar over the phone with me telling me that my husband will go to jail and she will make sure I go to jail as well for not paying a bill that I know I have never owed! Calling me horrible names and threatening me, kate miller then hung up on me so I called back and she then said to me " why are you calling me back I do not want to talk to you talk to my manger Mr Tucker" she sent me to his voicemail and I told him the same thing that I told Kate Miller. This is a scam people do NOT fall for it!

THe message its self is a violation of the fdcpa as they 1. Attempt to mislead you that they are a government agency. 2. Do not state the purpose of the call. 3. Do not identify themselves as debt collectors.3. Leave a "case" number my suggestion call a lawyer

The man behind these calls is convicted criminal Ryon Gambill of La Sierra Drive in Palm Desert, CA.

Google him. Do NOT pay him.

He gets your information from Experian. Complain, and complain loudly, to Experian. The person at Experian who handles the "relationship" with Gambill is Abril Turner. Call Experian and demand to speak to her. If they will not do something, sue them (and Gambill) in Small Claims Court.

My sister in-law called my husband stating that CPS was looking for me. And so being a mother of 4 lill ones I was concerned what this was in regards to. I didn't think my parenting was that bad. So i went ahead and called 760-423-1100 And spoke to the person who requested me "Kate Miller " she informed me i was going to be charged with check fraud! I know my family is in a financial crunch right now but i didn't think it was this bad so i took what she said IMP and was directed t make payment by credit and she said it didn't matter who's credit ...well the day before i was to pay sumthin just didn't seem right so i searched the # on line and every link led to a sCaM......thankYou everyone for your information about this BS scam

These people have been calling my work number or the past few years, on and off.  I just got an "urgent call" from them yesterday, "it's very serious" and the girl was talking so fast I could not understand her.  First of all, if I had any business with these people, they would not be calling my work phone.  This started after my wallet was lost or stolen a few years ago.  Some guy called and first he said i wrote an NSF check on an account # XXXX ( he named the last four digits of the account number that was lost/stolen - i had already closed the account).  The ONLY check I ever write is for my rent.  So, there are no outstanding NSF checks floating around.  Then he called on another day stating that I had a payday loan that I didn't pay back.  NOT!  So now, we keep getting these urgent calls.  I have asked them repeatedly to send in writing the proof of the debt.  Surely if I am doing legitimate buisness with them, they have my address.  In three years, NOTHING!  Don't pay these people.  File a complaint with your state Attorney General.

They called my sister looking for me,saying a owed money from 5 years ago on an old loan, they told my sister that i had committed fraud and i would go to jail if i did not settle this debt, i have PROOF that the loan was paid in full! other websites state this is a SCAM !!!! so don't fall for it!!

Someone called my office and asked for a particular name, I asked him to hold and came back on the line he said his name is Nick with CPS, gave a case number and number to call back.  I asked him what CPS stands for and he said check protection services.  He didn't say whta it was in regards to just from CPS.

you are right.  They call and try to scare you like you really owe the govt. but in fact they are just old debt buyers and try to harrass people.  Thanks

Hi, i just got a call from Nick with CPS phone number 760-423-1100 ext. 201 case 5433650 said to call him and it was very important and if call is not returned then they will proceed with allegations.  I really like this "who called me" website as it is very informative.  I have the FBI on speed dial for A*** like this.

So they called and I would not go along. They said they would note me as a Refusal to Pay and that they would take further action.

Well guess what. These people (Gambill, Marauder, CPS, whatever they call themselves today) can't do much.

First, they never take you to court. Never. Do some searches, they don't because they will lose. Also, Ryon Gambill has a criminal record and some outstanding warrants that the judge may not like.

Second, the best he can really do is mess with your Experian. Well, guess what, you can raise hell with Experian over this. Do some searches, Experian gets sued for this from time to time and they pay.

Also, they WILL take him off of your report. Just make sure you make them give you a copy.

Third, what he does is harassment. Take the time to file a criminal complaint with your local police. Pretty soon he'll have warrants waiting everywhere and that will be the end of him.

So be like me and refuse to pay. This guy is a crook and the debts are just bogus.

OK, based on what I read, you can get these guys so angry that they'll go away for a while.

So, you ask them this:

"Hey, is this one of the days when Ryon makes Ray squeal like a pig or a day when Ray makes Ryon squeal like a pig?"

Boy does that get them mad. They have threatened to call the police on me for obscenity. I told them to go ahead but maybe they should hold down the squealing so the police can hear.

This, shuts them up for about two weeks, maybe even longer.

They've been calling up the company and asking for an update on the warrant the judge there wrote out for Ryon Gambill.

Yeah, you are just another scammer, there are many more names given from this company from the number you say is legitimate and it's the same abuse.  Don't anyone call 760-423-1100 and ask for a manager at X103.  Don't believe anyone that responds to any of these complaints with this phone number.  Same scam, different names.  What a joke!  Just report ALL calls in writing to your Attorney General of your state.  These people don't care about the laws.

The manager at CPS is either convicted harasser Ryon Gambill or convicted wife beater Ray Wrightsmann.

Take your pick. If there was a third you could make a human centipede out of them. For fun, tease them about being inbred, about being human centipedes, about their time in prison and so on.

Then call Experian and raise hell. That's where they got your phone number.

(760) 423-1100 and (760) 423-1111 are scam calls. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY. None. Eventually they will go broke. Ryon's wife Kim will end up opening an escort service and Ryon and Ray will take the calls for her. Hey maybe Kim can be the 3rd of that human centipede?
