I got a call from them also.  They claim to be a company CPS.  I have a case in the office for fraud.  Said I took out a payday loan for 250. back in March of 2008... That if I did not send them 315 to cover the loan, interest and NSF fee that they would show up to my job and have me arressted.  

What the f ever?  They have a bank account that was closed due to Fraudulent activity.  And even if it was my debit, it is a civil matter.  I live in Texas, and they do not scare me.  Let them call you, let them try what they want... I have already called the BBB  and the attny general.  

They have both told me that what they doing are not legal.  And that no Credit Collection Agency can leagly threaten you with arrest.

I got a call from this company saying I owed more money on a account, but I already paid them back not sure what to do, but looks like a scam to me.

Got a call at work from Jamie Russell of CPS regarding investigation of fraudulent activity. Wants me to call back at 800-460-0082 ext 112. I'm guessing it was on a payday loan taken out 3 years ago but it was paid back. Is there any way of getting their mailing address so I can send them a certified letter? I don't know if I should call them back or not but I will let my supervisor know in case she gets a call too.

Caller ID shows 760-423-1100 but message says to call back (800) 460-0085 x205. The voicemail was fastly spoken & urgent sounding, they gave me a case # ending with IRS and repeated how urgent it was to return the call to Nick Thompson at CPS but gave no further detail. I have no idea what this would be in regards to and they can mail a certified letter if they need to contact me. I've been getting lots of phishing emails and calls lately, I don't trust any one!

This company called me regarding a debt I owed, yet I settled this same debt with Northeast Firm!!!  CPS, never sent a statement of the "debt" via mail!!!  this company is a fraud!!!  BEWARE!!!

A man who claims to be with CPS by the name of Thomas Tucker has not only been calling me in reguards to a debt that I owe. He has called my mom, and even my supervisor at work. He has threatened me and claimed that I was a deadbeat, low life, criminal, liar and a theif. He will also tell you that your friends and family have claimed you are these things as well. He asked that I western union the money, but they will not give you an address if you request it. They ask that you call from the western union while you are making the payment. When I asked that he stop calling and harrasing me at my job (he called a good 10 times back to back) he claimed that I was harrasing him if you can believe that!! I wish that I would have never taken the calls to begin with, these people are way out of line. I would report them immediatly!

I received a all from this number at work and the person stated they were "Julie Moore" from CPC and I needed to call her immediately regarding an overdue account. She told me to call her at 760-423-1100, ext. 112. I have never heard of this company and just got the call out of the blue. She gave me a case number and all. It is against the law to call people at work and my business knows about this and is going to report it.

What they did is also very illegal, they are not allowed to discuss your debt with anyone but you (Fair Debt Collection ACT) or misrepresent your account to an employer.  If you lose your job or get any flack sue them, but def report them.

I got a call from central pre trail services which is a Government Agency or so he said.760-423-1100 ext#133 Bill Sanders said i owe for some kind of debt.I gave him a cussing and he said he would see me in court and hung up on me.Hope he does ill kick his ass since no one else will do anything about there scam.  I am on a mission to get this taken care of and get them shut down.So if you read this you coward i want you to know  your just about done ripping people off.

These folks are a predatory collection agency and they try to collect on bad debt.  My dealings with them found they were trying to collect on debt that was opened under my name and even after providing documents that I don’t owe the debt they still harass me.  I suggest you never answer their calls because they’ll demean you and curse. I've notifed my local police department and filed a report I suggest you do the same.

please be aware..these people will say anything to get what they want. i recieved a call from sasha at 760-423-1100 at ext 134 asking if i knew where a relative was at and said she was calling from cps and then i asked her cps? she said yes its very important and she gave me a case #..she was rude and very unprofessional.

i just received a call from this number, 760-423-1100, out of the blue. i have never heard of them and when i called back while looking the number online they became very angry.  they said the could go on the internet and ruin me.

My mom received a call. No name just an extension 202. I will prob call back and give them my cell number and make sure they remove my moms number. I can always ignore the cell phone calls.

Addition- KATV - channel 11 here in Arkansas said the Ag's office is reporting a fraudulant collection agency trying to collect money on people that do not owe. They reported that this company has access to Ssn and employment information. They are threating people of arrest. They news went on to say that we are to contact the AG's office if we are contacted. If you want to veriy this go to KATV (little rock) website. I am sure this headline is on their website.

I received a call from CPS 760--423-1100 at work.  Could not talk and they called my cellphone leaving all kinds of messages.  This is ridiculous and yes they won't listen to you when you tell them not to call your job.  I have an attorney working on this case now; total harassment.

Got a call from 760-423-1100 ext.200. Said I needed to call immediately regarding some account no. Said they had called me several weeks ago. I've never heard of CPS. I don't intend to call back and they need not call people at work. When they do, I just transfer them to the Sheriffs office.

Received a phone message at work.  Stated it was from CPS and that I need to contact them as soon as possible regarding an upcoming case in their office. Return phone call (760) 423-1100 ext 116 with regards to case #5425114.  I did not call them back, because I looked this number up. I do not owe anything to anybody named CPS.

It's a scam. Just ignore them. They do the same things to me and my uncle who is an attorney said it'd be a cold day in hell before they actually do anything.

This company is very rude!!! I received a call from Thomas Tucker/ Bill Sanders & they're both the same person. He stated I owed him money from a payday loan I received several years ago. I informed him that I had paid this debt back several years ago. I called my sister who lives in Oakland & asked here info regarding me, (like she would give him the info), he got upset because she wouldn't tell him anything. He went on & on yelling & asked her for the make & model of my car. My sister told him, "if you're a so called debt collector or anything like you, you would know that information." These people are crazy & they all need to get a life. I couldn't see myself ever doing their jobs. They wake up everyday to harrass people they know nothing about, then get upset if you don't give them money or the info they're looking for. So, to, Thomas Tucker, Bill Sanders, Madison & Mr. Cole, you all need to find real jobs, get a life & harrass yourselves!!!!
