Multiple robo-calls from this number -- 8 or 10 in the last week. Claiming to be from Macy's credit department. I called the real Macy's credit department and was told that there is no reason they'd call me. Called the 800 number out of curiosity, but no one actually came on the line. Macy's says it's a scam.

I've been getting calls too. I reached a real person when I called back and she kept wanting info from me. When I told her I wouldn't give her my last 4 over the phone she said, "how about your date of birth?" I hung up. It's a scam

Recently I received calls from 8005113207 and the guy said he was from Macy and saying my account was overdue.  He asked me to set up auto payment through my personal bank account.  I refused to do that and since then he has been calling me several times in a day.  Be aware! It is a scam.

Received a call from "Toll free caller" twice in two days claiming to be from Macys. When I called them back they asked for full SS#, which I knew was a red flag. Then they wanted full name, address, etc. Told them they called me and should be able to look up my "issue" with my phone number, which they would not/could not do. Calls sound like they go back to foreign call center.

Talked with Macy's supervisor and my account was fine. Reported fraud and the supervisor said they do have a reporting procedure to track fraud complaints with their IT/Systems Dept. She could not tell that my account was compromised, but said from what she could tell, this is not coming from Macys.

    FRAUD.......FRAUD....

I don't have a Macy's credit card or relationship with Macy's at all, and I've been getting this call for the last couple weeks, multiple times per day. I'm on the Do Not Call list and have reported them, they should be up to a million-dollar fine for me alone so far.

I refuse to call back, whether it's a scam or not.

This number had been calling me nonstop for weeks claiming that it was NOT  solicitation call and that it was regarding a special offer from Macy's. I called the number back and it went straight to "please hold for the next available representative". I thought something was fishy when the lady asked me for the last four digits of my social. I hung up. She had a heavy accent.

This is a collection agency for Macy's. I checked after reading these sites and I DID have a past-due balance on the store card part of the card, not the Amex part of the card. I had no idea :(

The call is not from Macy's. It's a scam attempting to obtain your credit card number. The man with the Indian accent, who called at 8 a.m., kept asking for my credit card number. Why would a business calling me with "an important message" about my card need to have the number read over the phone? I advised him to get an honest job and reported the number to the FBI. Re future calls from anyone, a quick indication of a scam is that it begins with a robocall, which is illegal and may violate the Do Not Call regulation, which is also illegal. Both can lead to fines. Any legitimate business would be aware of that fact. Re the fact that the scammer "knows" you have a Macy's acct. or whatever, he or she doesn't. That's the point of robocalls programmed to reach people at random. Only those with Macy's cards would call back.

No this is not a collection agency for Macy's. It's a criminal group making robocalls at random. Some reach people who have Macy's cards, some reach people who don't have Macy's cards, and some reach people who have cards with past-due balance. It's all a matter of chance. Do not deal with these people or your account will be REALLY past due as they use your information to rack up thousands of dollars worth of Macy's products. If you have already given them your information, close your card immediately! I got the same call and reported it to the FBI.

Keeps calling my cell phone a few times every day, without leaving a message.  When I call back, someone from India answers by saying "Macy's credit services".  I've never done business with Macy's and have no idea how they got my number or how to get them to stop calling.  It seems to be a "legitimate" in-house collection call from Macy's, from an Indian call center.  Obviously the way they operate their business is wrong and they need to be stopped from bothering innocent people somehow.

They still called me this morning even though I had gotten $0 balance at Macy's and had cut the Macy's card last week.

I have been getting automated calls at 8am every week for 2 months, telling me to call back 1-800-511-3207 for Macy's credit service. I have ended bloomingdales card for years and after getting call from this scammer last Friday, I had called Macy's card to end that card too. But I still got the call this morning at 8am telling me to call back the number again. I called and the lady asked me for my name and last 4-digit of social security number, and told me the name in this account got the same last name but different first name and different social security number. And asked for my address, and she told me they got that address at the account and told me to tell my husband to call them back to verify in order to take my home phone number out from their calling list. It's ridiculous that they didn't let me take out the phone number even though I had told them that my husband doesn't have accounts there and I had closed mine. And my husband just told me that I shouldn't give out my last 4-digit of social security. After I checked this site, I am even more worried. So I went to file complaint at Federal Trade Commission, http://www.ftc.gov and hope they could help.
