Sudden getting £4.50 per week taken from my EE account bu WinNow.xinwin.co.  Sending stop to 88227 dpesn'yt wprk

you could do worse than read John's approach - bottom page 15, 22 Feb I think - but the regulator is PayphonePlus - you can Google them - they're part of Ofcom & have detailed guidance - enter 82288 into their Search button. many others have reported similar problems with xinwin. you won't get a refund but their costly texts "should" STOP once you've contacted them

I had a text saying is been entered into a shopping draw. To stop the texts and opt out I was to reply STOP.
I googled them using "82288" to find out who it was spamming my phone. I added them as the name  'spam text' and then I blocked them - this I could not do just from their text. They should not be able to text or phone me again!

Is rthere a charge for this text

These scam artists are the same, in Glasgow they are known as Tony Kelly and Allan Scott. They set up fake companies and rip the piss out of people then funnel the money through their club http://www.wildcabaret.com/ this club is constantly empty yet shows a massive profit every day. They even have an inside joke calling it the launderette.

I keep getting text messages ' Grab a £500 shopping voucher.  It says its superdrug-survey.luckywinner.club/
To opt out text noinfo 82288.  When you go to send the text a warning comes up....This will cause charges to your mobile account.
Does not say how much.  I have recently fallen prey to this scam from another number. I ignored it and just kept deleting the messages but got a real shock when I got my phone bill.  I am going to Turkey tomorrow so will just have to swallow the unknown charge to stop these noinfo messages or I will be faced with an even bigger bill as there are charges to receive messages when abroad.

if not already done so, contact mobile provider - what did/do they say? plus payphoneplus, the regulator for these numbers on your return (ps not a brill idea to provide your full name - unless an alias - on any website!) enjoy your break, hope it's not interrupted by any more costly scam text charges.

I've received 3 messages from this number. Just called EE who have now put a block on my phone for premium numbers, so won't be receiving any more. I was also given the details of the company sending the messages, so I can contact them for a refund.

Call your network provider and tell them to put a block on all premium numbers to tour phone.

I did contactphonepayplus but they think this Xinion ltd.is legal.
I lost £180 and tried trading standard who seemed to agree with phonepayplus.
Please write to BBC watchdog.

Have you tried calling them, the details are on here? Blocking a number only stops you receiving the text but they are charged on sending not on receipt, so you will still be charged .

Keeps sending me texts but I never signed up for it. Always for a different competition but from 82288. I can't seem to block it either
