My husband began receiving calls from this "Law Offices of Sidney Michaels" about an "urgent legal matter" since last summer and for about the last 4 weeks now, they call EVERY day, over and over again until they get a person and not our answering machine to relay their message.  They have been so far out of line as to say they could take our house, money from different accouts or vehicles and any other personal property until the worth reached is equal in value to the amout of "this matter".  Of course this message had been relayed to my husband by his parents, who are much older, in poor health and living in another state. They've called him at work where he operates large machinery on a production line and for safety, personal calls are tolerated only in emergencies- which they were told yet chose to ignore, pleading ignorance.  I know there are laws against these practices, but who enforces them and is anything punitive done? And what about consequences for the Unnamed Credit Card Company('UNCRANY')?  If they were truly ignorant regarding the methods and tactics used by companies they've contracted to collect these monies so gravely important to them, they would still deserve an expensive consequence, one which would also ease or even eliminate all the unnecessary aggrivation and embarrassment their flunkies inflicted.  And until UNCRANY faces a consequence that hurts their pocketbook bad enough, they have nothing to loose.     Only we do.

These folks actually have now called my ex as well as my son, told them the other day they were from the DA's office and gave an 805 area code, which was a T-mobile access to voicemail accounts.  Called my son again today and stated they were not a collection agency and it was a legal matter.  I will not talk to them as I'm starting BK, is there a way to legally get them to stop harassing my family and my ex?

I received a call from Mr. Kutz in regards to my mother in law and decided to google this phone number.  Thanks for posting all this information of such dubious people and saving me the headache of dealing with liars and cheaters.

I received a phone call from California # 909-542-1295.  My caller ID said Mickell Law Office, the man said his name was Bill Windsor.  I did not recognize the number when they asked for me, so I told them I was someone else to get information.  He asked for me by my maiden name and said he had a legal matter to discuss.  He said he had sent me letters and wanted to confirm my address.  The two addresses he had were in towns three hours away that I had never lived in.  I did not give him my real address, but took his number, which was 866-204-3786.  Is this truly a collection agency?  Or is it a scam?  I don't know what they'd be collecting.

We have been getting phone calls for an Ebony Jones, or a Bethany Jones from 866-204-3786. The message even gives out a web address. Shockingly, but not very surprisingly, this website does not exist. So I can't even contact them via website.
We have been getting these calls for almost a year. If you are getting these calls, and the person they are trying to reach is not you, I highly recommend contacting the do not call list. I will keep contacting the do not call list until they stop calling.
Had the exact same problem with IC Systems. Another debt agency, but a very legit one with it's own real website. I contacted the do not call list until these people stopped calling.

I also recieved a call from this attorney, i tried to call back but they were closed for the day, "friday". Shortly after, i tried to find this law group on the web, which to this site. mr crawford was persistant in his message, with you don't know what is happing to you so it is urgent for you to return the call.

My out-of-state elderly father-in-law called me to relay a message from a Peter Petosi with the Sidney Michael law firm out of California at 866 204-36786.  They asked that he have my husband call them about a matter (which, of course, they stated they could not reveal), and that it would be extremely bad for him if he did not call them back.  My father-in-law was very upset about this, and stated the party calling was rude and borderline threatening.  My husband had absolutely no idea what this was about, so I googled the law firm - which I find to be fictitious.  The information brought up from the google search reveals this to be a telescam, wherein you are threatened indirectly (by scaring family members) with legal action if you don't provide them access to your banking/financial information. Do not contact them, and certainly do not provide them access to any of your personal information, including contact numbers,etc., to enable them to gain access to your accounts and identify.  And certainly report them to law enforcement and to all agencies that monitor such activity.

"I am calling from an attorney's office and need to talk to you regarding your son. Please call so I can clear up some matters"

I am amazed at all the message traffic from so many of us in this sick debt collection company, or however they are.  I just received a message from Mr. Paine 866-204-3786.  I called him back because I have been waiting to hear from a law firm from CA on another issue and thinking it was them.  I had the exact same thing happen to me...telling me since I can't pay their downpayment, or hardship payment then I'll be turned over for a legal action. I too have contacted a debt resolution for my debts and Mr. Paine didn't want to hear it.  His remark was, once your acct is handed to a law firm then no debt settlement payment is acceptable.  Bottom line:  After seeing all these messages I sent them to my husband.  He called Mr. Paine back to get the physical address since he'd be there next week for school and he'd be happy to speak to him personally.  Mr. Paine muffled and danced to an uncomfortable tune....never was able to set a meeting time with him!  I can't believe this operation is still in business since these blogs of 2008!!!  Oh wait, just had another call from 909-568-0750...no message was left this time!

Again they continue to try and portray themselves as a law office, regarding a relatives outstanding credit card bill, the law does not go after $1400 credit card bill that is only 3 months old, they are ignorant thinking all people are just as ignorant as them. I date a cop and am involved in the law offices myself so they chose the rong one this time. Folks don't give anyone your money

I received a call from a Salvador at the law offices of Sidney Micheal and he left a message on my cell stating that I needed to extend the courtesy of calling him back for an urgent matter. I have spoken with the people before and everytime they are so freaking rude and give different names although I know that I am speaking to the exact same person. I dont think I will be giving them a call back. I would rather pay the entire balance on whatever it is I owe for. All they want is your bank information. This could be a scam for all I know.

Call on answering machine, caller ID 909-542-1284, "MICKELL LAW OFC": "This is a message for [my first & last names]. [My first name], it's Mr. Cutts with the Law Office of Sidney Michael. I don't know if this is the best number to reach you or if I should call you down there at your job. I do need to speak with you right away. There's a matter here at the firm you will want to know about immediately. The phone number to reach me here is area code 866 204-3786. Again, this is Mr. Cutts with the Law Office of Sidney Michael. There is a matter here at the firm you going to want to know about right away. Please return the call."

Wouldn't be surprised if it was about my partner, who has been defaulting on a lot of debts this past year...

Someone called the cell phone and talked as if it was an urgent matter that we give them a call. I called and no one answered the phone.

I keep getting calls from this number. Even after being told that I am not the person that they are looking for or do i even know them, This is harassment and they told me it wasn't. When is someone going to stop them.it tells me to hang up if I am not this person right now. I do and they keep calling. I get up to 5 or 6 calls a day every day. DOn't they think I have things to do, and this is minutes taken from my children to contact me with which is more important than asking if i am so and so and that it is an urgent legal matter concerning such person.

I have set up payment arrangements with this company and Mr. Cuts. He told me to call back in 6 months and they would make me a considerable settlement offer. I called today and Mr. Cuts was not available so I had to talk to MR. Jeremy Gastel. He was not a nice as Mr. Cuts and would not agree to the discount so it looks like I will be paying on this bogus credit card debit for a while longer. Funny how an $800.00 crdit limit can turn into $2800.00 and continue to grow!! The credit card company's and these law firms/ collection company's are nothing but highway robbery.

My husband received a letter from Sidney Mickell law offices regarding a debt that he owed. He does owe this debt, but was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and has fallen into deep depression. I called the telephone no. thinking it was a legit law firm. I spoke to someone named Ed who was a supervisor. I told him our plight and that I could make payments of $75.00 per month until paid off. He put me on hold and then came back and said that I could pay $75.00 per month for 12 months and then they would negotiate. I told them that I needed something in writing. So then he put me on hold and a guy named Vic or Rick Valdez answered and said he would take my bank information. I said I needed sonething in writing. He e-mailed me, but it said that the payment would be taken out of my account on the 5th of every month. So I called back and spoke to Mr. Gestl and asked for another e-mail staing that the funds would be deducted out of my account on the 15th of every month. He sent me another e-mail stating that the funds would post by the 15th of every month. Then I started searching the internet and found all these problems people have been having. I decided not to pay these people one penny. This law firm has been sued and this guy Gesl personally. I do collections, but I never speak to people the way that these people do.

After reading several of these replies it makes me prompt another question and statement. How do they get our past records and such?...internet? searching? I think there needs to be a point where our information is NOT shared with the world with the click of a few buttons. Honestly, all these calls make me want to move to the mountains and become a hermit to get away from society. This is absurd nonsense to harass people to the depths that these agencies do.

Got a vmail from Sidney Micahels Law office about a law suit & the perosn on the phone said he's the director of "Litigation" and the call was regarding a law suit being field against me & they want to talk to me about my property since he mentioned my property address. I was skeptical about the call as law firms do not say what they are calling about if they are legitimately going after a person's property, there should just be a letter fo summons from the court about these kind of matters if there are actual suit being filed against anyone as part of the judicial process. Regadlesss, I called to find out if these people are legitimate or not & got a message that the number 909 568-0754 belongs to a "Rey Walsh" from the office of Sidney Michaels whihc to me is a collection agency like every one sys on their postings here. I woill not call this people if you donot get anything in writing yet from the same name law office. Instead, order them a dozen pizzas from every pizza parlor in their area in Ontario California if you find out what their address is as I will do so once I do & I'lll send them all magazine orders that they will be reading till kingdom comes!
