I came home and found a message on my answering machine from this number.  It said that it was from a correctional facility in Jefferson City.  It has an auto voice asking to press different numbers and then also a voice of "Delmar" stating the call was from.  It concerned me after reading all these posts that it may be a scam for third party calls with my phone.  I was concerned since the message on my machine lasted about one minute and I was afraid they would have access to my number.  I called ATT to inform them and put a block on my phone for all collect calls and third party calls.  They informed me that with my services there would be no charge for this block but I think you do need to verify it if you chose to do this.

I want this person to stop calling... I noticed on my bill someone answered it... Does that mean I will be charged? I think my recently ex boyfriend has been taking calls from his ex or whatever. Did it cost me???:?:

I got a call from this number back on August 23rd at 8:42pm and prior to that another call on August 22nd at 12:48pm.  It said something like the person you tried calling is not answering at this time, please try again later.

Someone from this number has called us twice, and in the background, you can hear someone saying, " I love you baby".

I just got a phone call from this number, but because I was talking to someone at the time, I did not answer. How can I block this number, I don't know anyone who is in jail.

Same thing is happening to me and I dont know anyone in prison either.

OMG me too and I was so mad because now I'm very anxious to know who it was ugh

I have noidea who is calling and have not been able to speak with anyone to find out!

I got 3 calls from this number but I guess I do know some people in jail/prison

NCO is an actual collection agency.  Other businesses refer their debt collection to NCO to recover funds.

Just got the call....and we do have a family member in jail..but up in Canada.  I hung up but I am scared I might have pressed 1.....and can't remember what option that was for....declining I think.  I will not even pick up from now on if this number appears on my call display.  And if I do happen to answer this call I will hang up immediately.  I called ATT and they can't block this call....which seems ridiculous seeing they can put a man on the moon and all.  Or did they.......that is another thread.

All they said was someone was trying to contact me I just hung up phone cause I don't know anyone in prison......

Just got 3 calls from this number about 10 mins ago- all said "collect call from prison". I know on one in jail and the calls totally wake me up while I have a morning meeting at 8...

I had a missed call on my cell phone from this number that left a recording on my voice mail saying it was a prepaid call from... (left no name).  After reading the posts here, I contacted my cell phone company because I was concerned about it being a possible scam to use my number to make collect calls. I was told that collect calls cannot be made to or from a cell phone (learn something new everyday!), but they went ahead and blocked the number from all phones in our calling plan.

I got a call from this number and they also said it was from a prison and the person actually knew my first name and the town I was originally from, which scared me, but finally he said he probably called the wrong number. I found that odd how he called the wrong number but yet knew my name and where I was from. I googled the number after the phone call and I found this website.

Do not answer this number...I signed up with a internet company called SMC today and after I signed up I started getting these calls.  It is a scam and don't answer it!!! It will cost you.
